2 Chapter - 2

A horrible dread set in her veins and her heart was thundering, she could feel it beat on her chest. She was panicking, she had to get back. She couldn't breathe. Her legs threatened to buckle and her hands were shaking.

Elena was stuck here.

stuck in this...dream or whatever it was.

Elena slapped herself in the face, hoping to awaken from what this was. she groaned in pain but...nothing. this was no dream. She was awake. This was an alternate world.

not a dream, a reality.

She didn't know anyone here; she didn't know where to go. What was she going to do? Where was she going to go? Who would help her back to her world? No one. She was all alone. She looked around, her breathing was fast and deep, and heart was racing faster than she could even imagine. She was going to pass out. Her mind was dizzy, and she was in tears. She had to get back, and she didn't even know where she was. Her thoughts were all over the place and she didn't know what to do.

She was all alone in an unknown place...in an unknown world.

Her eyes filled with tears as the thought threatened to unleash the fear within her heart.

No, she wouldn't cry like a child.

No, she thought, this wasn't the time to cry. She was strong and would find a way back. She would have to keep her wits about her. She was in the world of harry potter it seemed, and surely the world would be same as the books and movies, if not the same people.

Perhaps a good place to start would be in Hogwarts, where the strongest wizard was. Albus Dumbledore, the headmaster of Hogwarts. That is, if...If he was here. If this was the world of harry potter, would harry be here? Voldemort? She didn't know what to make of that.

And particularly she didn't care.

They weren't important.

Her fiancé was.

She looked at her options, either stay her and wait for the wall to open or get on the train and find someone powerful to help he get back home. Elena ran through both options in her mind. The wall was a barrier, and it was closed. Maybe she could stay here and wait for it to open, but what if it didn't and no one would be there to help her.

No, the best thing to do would be to go in the train and find someone who could help her. She looked around in wonder and curiosity, though her heart was thundering with fear. This was the harry potter world, a world of magic. She had dreamed as a child that it would be real and now, it was hard to believe her eyes.

Suppressing her curiosity, she thought of her fiancé. Her fascination could wait, James couldn't.

Her priority was to go back. At least she could warn her fiancé. She took out her phone, thankfully fully charged, only to find there was no service. Shit. There was no way to warn him. she was trapped in an unknown world, all alone and no way to inform her fiance. Elena should've stayed in the stupid hotel. She should've just let the thief go. Shit. She was in deep shit.

She climbed on to the train, some people were staring at her clothes. If she were here for the time being, she would play along. She looked at the students. They were in wizard robes just like the movies. However, they were not just humans but fae. Like those from her books. Mostly they had pointy ears, but she did see some like hers, rounded ears and simple human like features. Was this a mix of different worlds? Never mind that, she would ponder on that later.

Elena walked all the way to the front of the train in hopes to speak to the trainmaster to get a letter to the headmaster, whoever that may be. She found the trainmaster and said she need to send a letter to Hogwarts immediately.

At first, he was reluctant, but after she pressed hard, he agreed. What would she even write? "Help, I'm stuck in this world, and I don't know how to go back?" However, she crafted a letter about her emergency and told them to expect her when they arrived. She asked how far away Hogwarts was, and the trainmaster replied about 9-10 hours.

Shit. Maybe she should've stayed back. Maybe the wall would have opened again. No, she didn't have time to think about what ifs. The trainmaster was looking at her contemplatively but said nothing. She walked back and tried to find an empty compartment so she could have time to think and process all of this.

As she was walking, she found an empty compartment. But before she could slide the door open, someone stepped in front of her. towering over her like a brute, the man smiled like a cat. His black hair and black eyes were just like hers and yet...laced with cruelty and harshness. Her eyes snapped to his pointed ears as she realized he was fae. Immortal fae. Behind him stood four men and three women.

Were these the bullies from harry potter then? Where was Malfoy then? She had no interest in being the attention but rather wanted to lay low. She was hungry and tired from all the running and her temper was rising. The man...male looked at her clothes with disgust. His preternatural stillness emphasized he was a warrior under those clothes. Her legs began to buckle but she took a deep breath and imitated his look.

One of them, a dark haired female with green eyes laughed and said, "dear lord, look at those clothes, it looks so disgusting." What did these idiots know about fashion, she was wearing fashionable clothes of autumn.

"Not her fault, she is after all a filthy little mudblood", said the other blonde female. If they didn't shut up and leave her alone, she was going to teach them a lesson. It didn't matter if she was only a human and they were fae, anyone who pissed her off suffered her wrath.

"What's your name, human?" said a brown haired male.

Her temper was rising, "none of your business, now get out of my way before I make you forget your own name."

The others were now sizing her up, one of the male laughed, "ohh, she's got fangs, we better watch out or this filthy human will teach us a lesson." She was going to punch him, but she controlled. Controlled her anger like always. Like she had taught herself since she was a kid. She knew her temper would one day ruin her, but she had been smarter and tried to control her anger. Some days, she did. Other days, the anger won. Today, the latter was about to win.

She tried to move past them, but the black haired male grabbed her hand and pulled her closer and said, "where do you think you're going, we're not done with you, let's find out what's under these clothes". His smile turned wider as he sniffed her. cringing, she tried to break out of his grip. He only squeezed her hand tighter.

Enough. She had enough. She grabbed his hand and twisted it so fast he didn't even know what was happening. A neat trick YouTube had taught her. The others now stepped back a little wary as she pressed his front on the wall and said, "Touch me again and you lose the hand. Call me that again and i'll rip your tongue out and shove it down your fucking throat." She may have looked like a small cat, but she wasn't afraid to show her fangs. Let them see her as a cat only to find a wolf in their wake. She twisted it a bit more and then let go. She didnt care if he was a fae male and she was nothing but a human, no one, no one manhandled her.

"This isn't over", the female growled. The black haired male growled but she stepped aside and opened the door of the empty compartment. They all walked away sneering and cursing her. Good, at least she would be in this box alone.

She sat down and took out her phone and looked at the picture of her fiancé. There was no way to contact him. She had tears in her eyes again, but she wiped them. No one would see her weak. Her hands were shaking but she formed fists to control herself. She wouldn't give anyone an opportunity to see her vulnerable. Elena was thinking and thinking on how she could've gotten here. How did she even get past that wall? There was no magic in her world and why that wall. She didn't even live in that city. She was only there for a week as an engagement vacation. Look how well that had gone. All she wanted to do was be in the arms of her lover and spend the entire day kissing and making love. Maybe this was all a dream, and she would wake up safe and sound. She had no way to warn him. And this world. it was so similar to the one she had read about. How was that even possible. And why was she the one who was here. Would there be others from her world?

She had to find out.

Had to get back to James.

Taking him out of her mind, she thought of what those jerks had said. "Mudblood", she said to herself. Just like the movies. Was it because of her clothes or her ears. They were all fae she just realized. And beautiful if not cruel and pathetic. The two blonde females looked beautiful with their blue eyes and the one who had sneered at her had green eyes and dark hair. Like harry potter, she mused. The men were also fae she thought, as she tried to remember their faces. One of them had red hair and the other had brown and black hair. And they all stood with the fae arrogance. Shaking her head, she remembered they had called her a muggle. Perhaps being a human meant being a muggle. She didn't know but told herself she would find out as much possible. She had a million questions and no answers. Perhaps the headmaster would help her. But what if he didn't? No, she would not imagine that possibility. She would make him help her. and she would also master her face. no one would see her vulnerable. No one. She would imitate the look of arrogance and fearlessness and hope that none of them could smell her. from what she remembered in the books she read, fae were powerful and if they were in Hogwarts, then all of this was very different, far different than what she had read about. Fae and human, her world and this one, two completely different worlds.

Her stomach grumbled loudly as she smelled something delicious. The food lady knocked on the compartment door and asked if she wanted something. Starving, she got a sandwich to eat, thankfully it was for free. She had no money of this world, no clothes, no family, and no friends. There was time when she dreamed of being alone with her books, where no one would disturb her, but this...this is not how she dreamed it would happen. She could feel her heart cracking, but she wouldn't give into the fear. No, no, she wouldn't be afraid. She could not be afraid.

She finished eating the sandwich and was looking out the window. If she weren't so sad, she would have leapt with joy. This world was beautiful and lovely and vibrant, and it had magic. Who wouldn't like that? It was every child's dream come true. If this was truly a world of magic, did she have magic? She didn't even have a wand to prove that. Students walked passed the compartment, laughing and talking. She looked out the window again into the green grasses and snowy mountains and drifted off to sleep thinking about her lover.
