22 Chapter 22

I made my way over to the courtyard and sat down under a tree, I opened my lunch to find delicious spaghetti and meatballs with a garden salad on the side, it looks like it was made by a pro and tastes so good. I couldn't stop thinking about what Layla said, he seemed like such a nice person I guess you can't judge a book by the cover.

Before long the bell went off and I had to head back to class, after my classes were over I headed over to the gym to attend basket ball practice, I was kind of nerves thinking about what Layla had told me earlier. I hope that they don't think what they she said they think, I arrived at a gym to find 2 huge courts, I have never been in a court this big let alone two of them.

"Hey you over there, the gym Is reserved for basket ball practice right now, team and club members only." A girl yelled from across the court.

"Hello, I just joined the club." I looked around and noticed that there were mainly guys and only like 2 girls" Is this the boys team practice?"

She jogged over to me, "Sorry about that, I'm used to having to kick out the fan girls who want to see the guys practice. But no there is only a boys team at the school." she replied.

"What but I thought there was a girls team?"

"Nope, only a guys team, not enough girls to start a team. We used to have one, but all the girls didn't work and just watched the guys so it got shut down. The only two girls that we have are me whose the manager of the team and Nana over there who is the trainer. I should warn you that if your here just to look at guys and not participate then I'm gonna have to tell a teacher and you'll get kicked out."

"Don't worry, I planned to join to play. But if there's no team then I'm fine with just working there is no other club I want to join anyways."

She smiled and looked down at a clip board in her hand, "Ok, If you want you can be the co manager."

"Ya that works!" I said in excitement.

I'm so happy, she doesn't seem mean, I'm glad I was able to find a good club to join. Even if there isn't a girls team, this would still work out just fine as long as I have a club and I'm doing something related to basketball.
