21 Chapter 21

Morning classes ended rather quickly and lunch came, I was for some reason really excited to see if Ren liked the lunch I gave him. Maybe it's because he's like the only person I know here, aside from Layla who doesn't really hangout with me, can't blame her though she's got her own friends. I walked into the cafeteria and looked around hoping to find someone to sit with, my eyes quickly locked on to Layla and Ren at one of the tables. I made my way over to ask Ren if he liked it and to thank him again for snacks it really was a life saver yesterday.

"Hey Ren..." I immediately stopped before I could ask my intended question when I noticed that he was eating food he bought, "Hey Maya, what's up? You having a good second day at school?" He asked with a smile. "Um, ya I'm fine. I was wondering.." I was cut off by Layal grabbing my arm and pulling me "Hey Maya let's talk over there, ok? We'll be right back guys." She said as she smiled at the people at her table and dragged me away. We went a ways away from them into an empty hall, "What's wrong?" I asked as I broke free of her grasp.

"Listen I gave him the lunch you made, but he threw it away. He said he didn't want to eat something made from someone like you.." She said with a look of disdain and disgust.

"What do you mean someone like me? And why would he do that he was so nice to me yesterday?"

"Of course he was, you heard what he told you yesterday he's on the student council he has to be nice to a new students even if he doesn't like them. And I mean someone from such a, how do I say this, unfortunate family situation. To everyone here your just an orphan who got the eye of a wealthy family and got taken in like a lost puppy, well that's what everyone says anyways. Well anyways I'm going back, best you find someone else to make friends with." She grinned at me then headed back to the table.

I didn't think people saw me like that, he seemed so nice. I looked around the cafeteria, I felt as though they were all just laughing at me, looking down on me as if I was nothing but a pest. I sprinted out of the cafeteria and headed to the court yard where I was yesterday, BUMP! I got knocked on the floor, I wasn't paying attention and hit someone.

"I'm so sorry, I was running and wasn't paying attention." I looked up to find I had bumped into a boy, I immediately became captivated by his eyes, they were the most beautiful blue I'd ever seen, I felt as though I could see the ocean looking in his eyes. He had silver hair down to his shoulders, " I, um.. I" I couldn't speak, my words eluded me as I got lost in his eyes.

He hoped up, "Don't worry about it, you ok?" He reached his hand to help me.

"Um ya. I'm ok, thanks." He pulled me up and then simply turned and walked away, my eyes stayed locked on him as he walked away. I couldnt turn away, my heart was beating so fast, I wonder who he was?
