18 Chapter 18

After a tour of the school with my teacher, I headed to my next class which according to my schedule it should be a math class, not exactly my favorite subject but got to take. I glanced out the window on my way to class and saw that there weren't that many students at the school. Considering the size of the school, you would think that there would be more students, guess this is just made special for rich people.

Time flew by and before I knew it, it was lunch time, I wasn't given a lunch this morning and didn't pack one so I guess I'll just buy something in the cafeteria. I arrived to the cafeteria and got in line for food, "Hey, nice to see you again." I turned around to find the guy from this morning standing behind me, but I kind of forgot what his name was.

"Hey, you...nice to see you to." I said awkwardly, I hope he doesn't notice that I forgot his name.

"Were you able to find your classes ok?" He inquired.

"Um, ya I was. Thanks for asking." Out of the corner of my eye I spot Layla moving through the room towards me, she looked furious, I hope that rage isn't aimed at me. "Are you looking for your friend?" I turned to find that boy talking to me, god I really wish I could remember his name right now.

"Ren! Over here." Layla yelled across the room as she hurried through the hall to us.

Oh right that was his name Ren, "Mam your order?" I was so distracted by them both that I didn't realize I was next in line, I moved up to the counter and gazed at the menu only to find that the cheapest thing on it was $23.99 and it was ramen. How on earth can anyone afford to eat here? I know she said I can use the credit card for whatever I wanted, but I would feel bad spending her money, I had planned to just use what I had and get a part time job for whatever I needed to buy.

I'll see if I can find a vending machine or something else to eat this is all to pricey, before I had a chance to walk away Ren said, "Hey its your first day at a new school, my treat order whatever looks good to you."

"Uh, no I couldn't possibly let you pay for my lunch, this stuff is way to expensive." I responded as I shook my head in response.

"Expensive? Really? Never thought it was to be honest." He replied in shock.

"No I really cant accept that, thanks though." I could see Layla giving me the death glare again from behind Ren, so I hurried off before he could say anything else.
