The parking garage was huge, but I guess they just live in a apartment. I wonder why she said they were well off when they live in an apartment, my parents were average and we had our own house. I guess stuff is a lot more expensive in the big city, we got in the parking garage elevator and Mrs. Haruka hit the second floor button.

" I apologize for this being so rushed and that I can't give you more times to adjust, but a lot of people have been taken to our city who need homes, the fire in your village spread a long way and many other towns were burned as well." She said, before I could respond we arrived at the floor.

When the doors opened I was more shocked then before, there was a huge and fancy lobby with a huge balcony that had a pool on it. It was the biggest pool I had ever seen, even bigger then the one at my school, I wonder if that's for the residence who live here to use.

"Welcome, I'm glad to see you made it here ok Mrs. Haruka and Maya, correct?" A young women came out in a short dress and the high heels like the ones I used to see in the fashion magazines I would read about back home. Was she a worker here, but then how did she know my name?

"Hello, yes my name is Maya. Are you a worker here?"

"Haha, no I'm not a worker here, I'm the one who adopted you, you can call me carol or mama when your ready, and this is your new home." She replied with a smile on her face.

"Wait so this isn't an apartment complex?" I said with a shock.

"Nope, this entire building is our home and all those cars in the parking garage are ours too. Well except the ones in the back of the parking garage, those belong to the workers here."

Oh my god I could hardly believe what I was hearing, this whole place was there's. This house is huge, no this isn't a house its a palace, a sky scraper!
