6 I Don't Need the Prince! 03

The next morning, Avina experienced the full pamper package of an aristocrat lady. Maids waltz into her room gliding here and there bringing pans of water to wash the face, hands, feet, and such before guiding her to her bath.

Avina was then lathered in rose oil, rose soap, and so many rose products. Before she knew it, they were already drying her hair and dressing her in an appropriate dress to meet the Prince.

And all this happened as Avina was still drowsy.

'Hmm? What's going on...' Avina secretly yawned for the Nth time.

'It seems the maids are preparing you for meeting the Prince,' 5025 shyly cast its data eyes away from its Host.

It wasn't a perverted system!

With that sentence, Avina was instantly awake.

'Right, right! This is the day our master plan will display its results! Just watch as your Host makes it flawless!' Avina was confident in her plan. After all, she and the system pitted their brains/data together to come up with it.

Two brains/data were definitely better than one!

After a serving of breakfast, Avina was already on her carriage going to the Royal Palace.

Her Mother bid her farewell at their front entrance, "Darling, don't forget your manners when you meet Prince George," She took a handkerchief and patted the forehead of Ariel.

"And come home before tea time. I'll miss you dearly," Mother pattered on making sure Ariel understood everything and made sure she had an umbrella, sunhat, and a handkerchief.

Ariel nodded to her Mother's words but soon had to stop it, "I'll make sure to be polite, Mother. Do not worry. I'm worried about Mother standing out here instead," Ariel guided her Mother back in, "What if you got a chill from standing outside. Father would scold me."

She asked the head butler to take care of her Mother and make sure she had her meals on time.

"Oh, you sweet thing. Your Father does not have the heart to scold you," Mother gently smiled as she finally let go of Ariel, "Go on. I'll wait for you at home."

With that final farewell, Avina was finally going to the Royal Palace.

Truthfully, Avina was nervous. After all, in her world, she never met royalty. And even with her combined manners and etiquette from both worlds, she feared messing up. But soon enough, she regained her confidence.

How can a Princess be anything less than proud. You got this, Avina!

After a round of pep talk, she finally arrived at the palace. Sure enough, it was worthy of royalty. It's marble columns shimmered in the sun, and she could even feel the majesty of royalty in the palace.

A palace maid reached out to lead her to the palace garden where the prince was waiting. She took her hand and together the both of them walked to the garden.

Along the way, Avina admired the Royal Palace and the splendor it incapsulates. How many generations of royalty had resided in these very halls.

After what appeared to be forever, Avina finally arrived at the garden. Awaiting her was a small table complete with a classic display of treats and tea. A few steps away was a young man with radiant blonde hair like the Sun.

He stood tall and confident with both hands behind his back. He wore dark blue attire with gold detailing accentuating his pale skin. He had the strong eyes of a leader and an overall cold exterior.

This was His Royal Highness, Prince George.

"Greetings to His Royal Highness, Prince George," Ariel snapped out of her entranced state and greeted the Prince with a curtsy. The Prince return the greeting, and they both sat down across one another at the little round table.

The two of them conversed in mindless chatter until Prince George asked, "What brought you here today Lady Ariel."

A faint blush spread across Ariel's face till the tips of her ears popped pink. She stumbled on her words before finally uttering, "I wanted to know what you'd like to wear to the Moon Ball," and with a faint whisper she said, "so I could match my jewelry and dress with you."

It could be said that Ariel had an air of innocence surrounding her. It baffles Avina sometimes how such a sweet girl could have been framed as being "vicious and conniving." Combined with Avina's natural acting, Ariel was simply the perfect example of sweet and charming.

"I will not be going to the Moon Ball," George answered curtly finishing his cup of tea. Ariel's face paled a degree but her lessons taught her not to falter, especially not in front of royalty.

"Is that so," Ariel stuttered once more, this time not of shyness. Ariel gripped her teacup tightly making the tea shake a few times. A couple of droplets even flew out, but how could that be noticed by Ariel. She took a sip of tea attempting to calm her mind, but it did not help.

Did he not want to attend the ball with me? Her thoughts displayed clearly in her blue eyes.

George wrinkled his brow before saying, "But I might be able to make it for the last dance."

Surprised, Ariel's eyes open wide before glancing at Prince George. A flash of happiness shown on her small face, as she smiled with her eyes bent. "Then my last dance will be with you."

Her little body twinkled in radiance, and George did not know if it was just him or not, but it felt like the world was purified. He did not notice it himself, but the edges of his lips curved in response.

The tea time between the two ended on a sweet note, and Ariel soon had to go home. The same maid led her out the garden and Ariel's steps were laced with a slight bounce.
