Chapter 92

At the same time, Severus finally reached a rather richly furnished three-story mansion, with two marble statues at the stairs leading to the front doors, and almost a dozen guards patrolling the perimeter, some of which stood directly at the entrance, flanked by double-winged, steel doors adorned with gold patterns and precious stones

. "Not bad, there are twelve outside, and ninety more people inside, apparently the local boss values his life very much ... hmm ... There are also two "Masters" here, although they are inferior in quality to Dumbledore's core, but this is surprising, the "simple" gang already has two "master" rank wizards, I can't wait to meet this "boss", or maybe he is one of them?" Nagina, lying in his pocket, felt "goosebumps" from the feeling of approaching problems, because she clearly saw anticipation on the face of Severus.

"Perhaps you should have stayed in London?"

Before being let into the building, Rafael, that was the name of the leader of the group, and the rest were tested with a potion for extraneous charms, forced to drink truth serum and even used Revelio, Homenum Revelio and Specialis Revelio* on them.

Although they still didn't manage to find Nagini, because the additions to the spell themselves were chosen incorrectly, and it was stupidity to solder potions to Snape when he learned to dispel them back in his fifth year.

Therefore, they were able to get inside without any problems, where already, as if under escort, Severus was being led along the long corridors of the mansion towards the place where the two "Masters" were located.

The inside of the mansion was very richly furnished. Chandeliers of solid gold with precious stones, of the same material, candelabra on each table, which were made of magic wood.

A huge number of paintings with gold frames hung on the wall, the rest of the furniture also fully corresponded to the general "style".

At every turn there was a guard in a simple classic suit, not to mention those who stood at each window, and  at the stairs. Of course, there were some detection and signal charms, and, in addition to all this, the building was surrounded by a barrier.

And if Severus had to break through all this by force, then it certainly would not have been without casualties, so Severus chose an easier way, although at the risk of being exposed, but it was much easier than the first option. Of course, Snape had Potter's invisibility cloak, but he didn't really have much hope for it, because with the help of the Homenum Revelio, it was easy to detect a person under it.

Finally reaching the third floor when they left the landing, a procession of ten wizards passed by them, led by an elderly man who was exactly the "Master", only their clothes were completely different from those that Vitor's people were wearing.

It was cleaner, sleeker, and resembled the official uniform of the local law enforcement officers that the Prince had seen several times in Dark Lane.

They were wearing green suits, over which were raincoats, and a hat of the same colour as the suit completed the composition.

The gloomy old man leading the group did not pay much attention to them, immersed in his thoughts, but Severus followed him with a thoughtful look.

"So, after all, this gang has only one "Master", and this one, judging by the clothes, is most likely someone from the authorities, this is for the best, it would be a little harder to deal with two. Interesting ..." Severus then looked towards Rafael.

"Let's move." noticing the thoughtful look of the "youth", the leader of the group barked menacingly at him.

"Have you forgotten something?" the young man looked at him with a grin, from which the face of the first twisted, as if he had eaten a whole lemon.

"Please...let's...let's...speed up a little..." Rafael hissed every word, barely able to contain his anger at the sight of Snape's self-satisfied smile, because he felt that if he was left with the boy for a few more minutes alone, then he would strangle the "boy" for sure.

"Well done, now let's go…" Severus nodded, satisfied with his words.

Approaching the door in front of which a group of six wizards stood, Raphael stepped forward and approached the man who looked like the toughest of them all. "Carlos, we brought the man the boss called."

"Hm? Called?" the man addressed as Carlos looked at him puzzled, and then, exchanging glances with his colleagues, who also looked at him in bewilderment, he frowned. "The boss didn't call anyone."

"You stand here all day, but you can't even keep track of it," pulling out a letter, the leader of the bandits handed it to him. "See for yourself."

At that moment, Severus stepped forward, which made the guards sharply alert. "Have you forgotten that a few hours ago he told you that the son of his old friend was to come to him?" he asked with a smile, and after his words, all the guards fell into prostration, but still after a second they returned to normal.

"How could we forget this?! Please forgive us," one of the wizards quickly rumbled, standing behind a large man, who also changed his facial expression to a diametrically opposite one, only his smile was more like a grin. "Aii, I totally forgot about this, sorry, very sorry." he quickly stepped aside, like the others. "Come on in."

"Thank you," and without saying anything else, Severus headed for the door, and as soon as he touched the handle, a screech sounded from the collision of the dagger with the barrier. "Big guy, you're a bad actor," the Prince looked at the head of the guard with a smile. Although Carlos was surprised that the youth had time to react to his blow, he did not relax and, having already pulled out his wand, pointed it straight at his face, but a crack sounded from under his shirt. "Expo…" but the man didn't have time to finish, as in the next moment his eyes rolled back, and with a dull sound the body fell to the ground.

The rest, as they stood, and remained standing, as if not noticing what had just happened. "Not bad." shifting his gaze to the door, he could not help smiling, feeling two magic sources fuss in the office, one of which hid in the corner and suppressed its magic a little.

"Why am I not surprised that it all ended like this… " sounded a slightly tired voice of Nagini, who watched everything from beginning to end.

"I didn't intend to interfere in all this, and I don't consider myself some kind of hero or fighter for justice, but one day the teacher told me: "If you can help someone, and if it's in your power, then help ... "I just follow his teachings."

"You really had a good teacher." Nagini said, looking at him.

"He was very "good," Severus nodded with a smile, remembering the moment when he was thrown into the forest with the words: "If you survive, it's great, if you die, it's okay,"

'but there is also the fact that he followed me in the forest and fended off especially strong creatures, but he was still a sadist.'  The snake looked at him in puzzlement as it tilted its head to the side, noticing the displeasure on Severus's face.

"I just remembered something bad, it's okay, let's go in," he poked her in the muzzle, "stuffing" her back into his pocket, and after that, without any problems, Severus pushed the steel doors ...

In the office he met a short elderly man with slicked back dark grey hair, dressed in a black suit, sitting calmly at the table and watching him with indifference.

"Who sent you? Fred? Lucas or those government bastards?" he immediately asked, frowning, without taking his eyes off Snape.

"None of them, your assistant brought me here," he went to the bookcase and began to study the spines with slight interest. "Actually, I didn't intend to interfere in your affairs, but after watching how you turned Dark Alley into your "feeding", I wanted to help ordinary people who do not have the strength to fight back."

"Do you want to play the hero?" The man asked, narrowing his eyes.

"No, of course, you already heard my words," smiling, he looked at the old man, who still looked rather indifferent. "And you think I will do it for free?"

"It means that someone paid you after all," the old man "summed up" and grinned. "I'll give you five times as much if you bring me your employer's head."

"An interesting proposal, but now I will only stop after taking away everything you have … "

"Robin Hood?" Victor asked with a smile.

Severus gripped his wand tightly and looked at the shadow in the corner for a moment.

"No, after all, why should I give something to someone?" Finally finishing with the inspection of the books, the young man shook his head in disappointment, concentrating his attention on him, "I'll have everything for myself."

"Greedy kid …" The old man said, looking at Severus.

"Consider this payment for your life, is it worth your fortune?" Severus said, looking at the old man.

"Really…" A chuckle escaped Vitor's mouth. "Worthy payment for the life of this old man, but…" his smile grew into a bloodthirsty grin, and the room was enveloped in darkness. "TODAY YOU WILL DIE!"

Severus, was about to deflect it, but… "Wh-what…?!" A shout was heard and the darkness dispelled, the boss sat on a chair with a hole in his chest, staring with wide eyes into a dark corner. His white shirt turned red in a matter of seconds, and a pool of blood began to form under his chair.

Severus could have stopped the attack of the shadow at any moment, but he didn't do it, because why kill someone when they are doing your  work for you.

'I was going to kill him anyway,'coming closer, Severus examined the wound on the old wizard's chest. "It (shadow) aimed in such a way as not to give him a chance of survival. Apparently, this hatred has been accumulating for a long time. Well, okay, I already got what I wanted." pulling out a rose from the breast pocket of the old man, he dispelled the spell, and a key appeared in its place.

"P-po ... can …" with a pleading look, the man looked at Severus.

"For what? I was going to kill you anyway, so sleep well, your wealth is in good hands."

"Y-you…!"

"I know the password too," Severus nodded with a smile, causing sincere amazement on Vitor's face, which in a few seconds turned into burning hatred.

"Severus, what are you going to do with the others?" Leaning out of his sleeve, she looked towards the entrance, where other members of the gang were standing.

"You don't have to worry about that, I neutralised almost all the guards that we passed by, but they will have to deal with the rest themselves…"

[VITOR DE CAMINHA, THE BUILDING IS SURROUNDED! GIVE UP IMMEDIATELY OR WE'LL START A STORM!]

A loud male voice sounded outside, surprising Nagini. "Light in sight, well, we have to go already," Severus turned to the dying wizard, who was shaking with rage. "Good luck, old man, I was very glad to meet you," Severus nodded to him with a smile, and they disappeared, and only one elderly man remained in the office, who died with a twisted face, cursing one impudent "boy ..." before his death.

__________

At the same time, Severus appeared near a small cave. It was not very difficult to get information where the gang's wealth was "buried". A simple legilimency and a couple of leading questions that popped into the old man's head after the information handling was one of the easiest ways to get the information you needed with little to no effort.

"Hmm… so that's how it is…" Looking down at the ground, he noticed a broken branch and rumpled grass. "So, he/she decided to kill his boss, blame it on me and take everything for himself, what a bad person ... ________________________________________________________________________
