Chapter 79

After returning to school, twopleas later, there was a rather large clash between the forces of the Death Eaters and the ministry.

Of course there were losses on both sides, several shops in Diagon Alley were destroyed, but this skirmish happened at night, so fortunately there were no casualties among ordinary wizards. 

The result of this clash was a victory due to the numerical superiority on the part of the Ministry, because, just at that moment, a detachment of ten more Aurors passed by, who joined the battle and helped to suppress the rebellious dark wizards, and they even managed to capture a few alive, among whom were : Walden McNair, ministry worker, Anthony Rosier, current head of the Rosier Family, Avery Sr., also the head of the family and a few other ordinary Death Eaters.

Although it was hard to call it a real "victory", it was quite enough to raise morale, as well as demonstrate that they had everything under control. And, the capture of two close to the Dark Lord and a spy helped them a lot to find out better about the enemy forces and several bases, which were eventually destroyed and finally the Ministry almost completely seized the initiative in this war. 

The purpose of such a stupid act on the part of Voldemort was a warehouse in which potions and artefacts were stored, but due to the letter of one "unknown person", Tom could not achieve his goal, the attack was repelled and this became another defeat. 

Perhaps if he had joined them himself, they could have won, but he entrusted everything to the two Lestranges and this was his second mistake. Of course, this "unknown person" was Snape, who, through Lucius, was able to learn of this attack and advise the Minister of Magic to increase the security of the warehouse. 

Severus also tried not to leave any traces, so it was not surprising that the gloomy Voldemort began to suspect that spies were among his servants, and only fifteen people knew about the plan of attack, and the rest learned a few hours before the attack itself. 

That is, someone among his associates was a traitor, and of course, no one could escape his anger. He checked everyone, but to his surprise, the wizard did not find anyone. 

After all, Lucius had simply cleaned up his memories, erasing part of the contract with Snape and information about the mark, having previously stored them in a special bottle, and Bella herself was helped by Snape, not allowing him to find out about their conversations and about the fact that the necklace around her neck was just a fake.

And a gift from Severus himself in the form of a scarf with deer carved on it caused slight bewilderment in the girl, only after that she remembered Potter's animagus form and apparently she understood the hint, since that day onwards, she no longer pursued him, and even when they met, she tried not to look at him at all. 

James himself, one day seeing Lily in that scarf, beamed, and after every meeting with the Severus, he contemptuously and with a bit of arrogance followed him with his eyes, in general, he behaved like a real idiot, Snape simply ignored such a thing and after a couple of days, James got bored of doing it, not seeing any reaction and just decided to ignore him as well. 

After all, he achieved his goal, and Lily began to spend more time with him, in general - life was getting better and Lily was no longer talking about Snape. 

In addition to this joyful event, another thing happened, Salazar finally gave up and began to betray his colleagues for the sake of the body and even demanded an oath by magic, but what kind of body he would get and the deadline for fulfilling the oath were never approved, so the founder of the House of snakes will have to stay in the picture for a couple of hundred more years, nevertheless, Severus decided listen to the words of Nagini and not help the old man, at least until he becomes strong enough to take him under complete control. 

But still, Severus was able to get a lot of information about the three founders, and to his surprise, some of the "tales" turned out to be true. 

For example: about the room, as well as the office in which Rowena Ravenclaw kept all her books, but only the founders knew about her, because she did not allow the students to go there, but the old snake did not know her whereabouts, because she did not let him in there , but the room was definitely somewhere in the drawing room of the House.

He also got to know about the statues of lions, but Salazar also did not know what Godric had hidden there; about the recipe book of Helga Hufflepuff and about the goblet, which is the very key to enter her office and many other secrets of the castle, which Dumbledore himself probably didn't know about. 

And now Snape has a new goal: to open all the secrets of the founders and pocket all the good. Of course, Snape understood that Slytherin hardly knew much about his colleagues, because after his departure they lived for another couple of decades and could easily have hidden everything, but still he decided to check these places, of course, he was little interested in Hufflepuff's culinary delights, but there could be something else besides this… 

And thus, another month flew by unnoticed, during which Snape finally sorted out all that trash from the room of requirement and marked all the valuable things, which will be useful to him, so that by the end of the seventh year he can take them all at once. 

A couple of hundred thousand Galleons will never be superfluous in the economy. In addition, he finished with glasses two weeks ago and already handed over the blue print to the elder Macmillan, who patented it on the same day and they signed an agreement in which Snape would receive ten percent from each pair sold, although he refused, but the man still insisted. 

From the very beginning, the wizard intended to simply give Faust that drawing in gratitude for his support at the beginning of the journey, but the head of the family refused until the very end, until he accepted the ten percent. 

Of course, it was not a matter of nobility, although it was a part but mainly the man did not want to break off their "bond" based on friendship with his son, just because of some galleons. 

In general, in a word - a pure blood. But this month has not gone as smoothly as the last two. After all, one day, on the way to the great hall, he ran into two students from Slytherin. 

Nothing out of the ordinary, but Snape felt death marks on them and they were much more intricate than the last ones, since neither Dumbledore nor the school's protective charms could detect them. 

At first, the wizard did not attach much importance to them, although he was surprised that two Death Eaters calmly walked around the castle and did not blow their cover. 

Only after a couple of days the number of such students tripled and Severus sensed that problems were approaching, because for him the school was a place, where he could spend his time calmly without worrying about nothing and with a sense of security, and now the damn noseless lich was about to destroy his peaceful island with treasures, which of course Snape could not allow. 

Therefore, the very next day, Albus Percival Wulfric Brian Dumbledore received an anonymous letter from a student, to look at his right paws for the presence of one black muck, and in the corner he drew a snake, as a hint where to go with the check in the first place.

And the very next day the director himself decided to look at the Slytherins, of course not forgetting to visit the rest of the faculties. And, just at the moment when he passed two certain students, the Death Eaters' mark appeared on the hand of one of them and the swing began ... 

On the same day, each student was checked and nine more were identified, to the surprise of everyone, the last one turned out to be from the house of Ravenclaw. 

Of course, after that, the Ministry raided the school with an inspection, but the ministry personnel only stayed there for two days, and after interrogating the students who had close contact with those idiots, they quickly left. 

Dumbledore himself has tightened control measures and now he can often be seen walking around the castle. Of course, if it happened earlier, it would be a problem for Snape, but when he had completely finished all his business in the room of requirement, the young man no longer worried about it, and the "rat locator" almost immediately warned him when Dumbledore left the office and came back or when he was already there. 

In general, this had almost no effect on Severus, and Severus "worked" most often at night.

Also, he began to study cold medicine, which he mostly ignored in his time due to uselessness, thanks to the powerful regeneration from the heart of the phoenix, although he still had to learn how to provide first aid back in his school of magic.(old life)

That's why he began to study healing magic, focusing on disease, effects of magic on the body. 

Hogwarts did not teach this, so Snape had to study it with the help of books, which was quite difficult, but it was good that there were enough of them in the library, therefore he could study this subject calmly. 

Snape decided to do this only for one reason, that he was no longer alone, and if someday something happens to Nagini or someone else from his relatives, Severus wanted to be ready for this and help them at the same time . 

But still, he understood that this would not be enough, only books would not be able to help him in this, because they do not always write only the truth, especially in such a difficult branch of magic as medicine. He needed a person who was versed in this, who could teach him, pass on experience, as well as practice, and only then, he would be able to consider that he was on the right path and he already had a solution for this problem,
