19 Chapter 19 TEJADA'S
Black's POV
"Black, please, come with me! This will be fun For sure"
"Mich! We just got home from work! Give me a break first!" I said irritably. I was barely sitting on my sofa when she suddenly appeared in my unit wearing a nightgown. It looks like she has plans to party again. I don't know if it's because she's still having a silent fight with her boyfriend or she's just bored with her life.
"Ugh! Mich, why would you want to go to a party?" I asked him annoyingly. Seriously, I haven't been in a club or bar this past few weeks, been focusing on work and other kinds of stuff.
"Black, Please, I needed this to breathe, I feel like my mind will explode because of overthinking. Please, I needed you, be there when I'm feeling down," she said. does she want me to pity her? I sighed and rolled my eyes. Okay, I'm taking part in her drama.
"Alright!" I answered in defeat. She looks at me with a face I really hate every time she does it.
"Geez! Stop acting cute, Will you!? I'm gonna go upstairs and prepare." I hissed before I walked out and ignored the fact that she seems happy now as if she accomplished a huge mission.
Aish! I was deceived by this woman! I knew she's lying but I still play along with her. I glared at her as soon as we arrived at the venue.
The event is at the prestigious hotel in the Metro, pretty sure whoever party is this, the yare big shots.
We haven't gone down yet, and if it's possible to turn around, I already did. Reporters and photographers occupied the entrance, I've seen a lot of notable figures around as well, What the heck is this?
"Tell me, Whose party is this?" I asked her with my gritted teeth, I'm pissed, I don't like going to this kind of event. She just answered me with a smile and went out of the car, I have no choice but to follow her.
"Smile Black! You don't want your ugly picture to spread!" She even smirked at me upon saying that. I really want to pull her hair right now until she is bald.
"The heiress of Black Pearl company and Santos Group is also here!" I heard someone announce and all the camera's flashes are directed towards us. I immediately anchored to Mich.
"I will kill you after this, Santos!" I whispered while smiling.
"My pleasure Black!" she replied with a smile as well.
She knows I hate this kind of publicity but she didn't tell me that this is the kind of party we will be attending. I went to a few parties like this because Dad forces me to attend business parties which suck, I didn't enjoy it at all.
When we entered the hall someone brought us to the table. A man is sitting there, he smiled when he noticed us.
"He's familiar!" I said to Mich. I just don't remember where I see him.
"You met him before! Hi Daryl" Mich greeted him as we sat down.
"I thought you'll not come!" I frowned when he said, He's expecting us? Who the hell is he? Suddenly the light went out and there was a spotlight, there were five men in the middle of the stage but one man caught my attention. Especially when his name is mentioned.
"Dash Tejada." The old man. I assume it's his grandfather. Dash smiled slightly. He's handsome, but that's not the point here. He is freaking Tejada! I'm positive that this event is somehow connected to that Damn Daze! as if on cue, a man walked up to the stage.
"Good evening ladies and gentlemen. Sorry for not coming up to the stage on time, but I'm here now so don't worry about the reason. I don't know if it's okay for me to be a CEO. After all, I look more like an actor than a businessman! "The people laughed because of his statement, what is he? A stand-up comedian? He's so full of himself. I turned to Mich who was smiling and looking at Daze.
"I hate you!" I said. She knows I hate that man. Just looking at Daze from afar made my blood boil.
"I'm only 23, I should still enjoy my life and continue to explore but since Daddy is getting older, I don't have a choice but to take over" I saw his father frowned with his remarks. The guests laughed again.
"Anyway, I, Daze Tejada, The new CEO of Tejada's Corporation will do my best to handle the company, I will try not to sink the company said with a smile and the people laughed again. Wow! what an informal speech on a formal occasion.
'He really hasn't done anything sensible in my mind's eye.
Dash approached him. They somehow look alike. are they brothers? If yes, what a waste.
"I propose a toast for my cousin. He finally entered the business world!" He said and raised the glass. The way he speaks, he's obviously a professional person. No, even his posture and aura give a very professional vibe. Unlike Daze, it's a good thing he's not his brother!

The event went well but I'm bored as fuck and I want to leave but Dad stopped me, I didn't know he's here as well. The business world is so small, Everyone knows everyone. After dad dragged me and introduced me to his business partners, I finally got back to our table.
I just sat there while Mich danced with Daryl. There are also many pairs in the middle. Because it's a pure love song. I was surprised when someone sat next to me.
"You look more stunning tonight!" He said with a smile but I didn't pay attention to him. The mere fact that he's sitting beside me, Irritates the hell out of me. This is the last thing I wish to happen tonight, to encounter him.
A few minutes later I felt him still staring at me. So I confronted him.
"What the hell is your problem Tejada?" I raised an eyebrow as I question him.
"Let's talk." He said in a low tone. I rolled my eyes at him.
"There's nothing to talk about!" I replied. After everything, he said back then? Does he think I'm still willing to be friends with him? What a jerk!
"Let's talk about us!" He said that seriously but I couldn't help but laugh.
"What are you saying? There's no us Tejada! So better choose the right word!" After I said that, he didn't speak anymore but the next thing he did is unexpected. He pulled me up, I tried to struggle but he tightened his grip on me
"Don't argue or else I will kiss you. I'm sure it would be a headline after this night." I glared at him when he said that. He's blackmailing me, isn't he? What a fucking jerk he is! I breathed heavily a few times and let him drag me wherever the hell he wants because arguing now will have bad consequences, very bad. When he said he'll kiss me, I'm pretty sure he will despite all the people around us. that's how crazy he is.
We went to the pool area on the rooftop of the Hotel. There are few people but I think this place will do. I can finally punch this guy in the face. Before I even forced him to let go of my hand, he let go of it on his own and went to the glass wall where we can see the city. He faced me and flashed a smile
"Can you forgive me? I'm really sorry! I was wrong! I was douche for saying those things about you and Michelle without really knowing you." He said.
"Do you think an apology will erase the fact that you're playing nice to get in my pants?" I asked him. I couldn't believe this guy!
"I know we have a bad start--" he said but I cut him off
"We already passed that! I gave you another chance but you fucked it up again! I don't understand you Daze! What do you really want from me? I told you! I'm not playing with you!" He looks disappointed but he manages to smile. Is his ego are really taking a punch because of my constant rejection? I know he keeps on pursuing me because I was the first one who rejected him, the fact that he can't accept that not all girls will be head over heels just staring at him is pitiful. Geez!! He's so exhausting to talk to!!
"I know. Iknow. I messed it up again. But this time, it's different, this is the most sincere thing that I've done. Please forgive me and give me another chance to be your genuine friend!" Fuck it! He's so persistent. I turned around and started to walk. I really hate him! I hate his face and all about him! but why do I have to feel bad about him?
I stopped and sighed.
"Work for it. Work hard to gain my trust, maybe I can reconsider being friends with you again." I said and walked again.
"Thank you, Black. And promise, This time, the goal is not to get under your pants!" My face suddenly heat up! That idiot! everyone in the pool surely hears it, What an embarrassment!! I raised my middle finger before completely leaving him there.
