2 GONE AND RETURN Part 2

Morrisey walks home with 2 big plastic bag hanging on her bycicle. It's to heavy for her riding the bycicle with those grocery bags, so she walks it instead. There's no way she can asks Elsa to give her a lift again, Dylan would kill her.

As Morrisey approachs her home, she can see there's a police car parked outside her home. Oh no, she fasten her walk so she can see what is going on.

"There! There she is!" she can hear her mom screams and points as her in front of two officer.

She stops and frightenedly looks at the officer. One of th, e older officer comes and approach her.

"Are you Cynthia Lane's daughter?" asked the officer.

"Yyess." Morrisey answered nervously.

"Your mom called 911 and claimed you stole credit card and money from her wallet." the officer explained.

"What??" Morrisey can't believe what she heard. "She gave me her credit card this morning and told me to buy groceries, because she's to wasted to buy it herself!" Morrisey shouted in agony.

Her mom charges almost instantly. "You little piece of shit! You damn thief! You stole my money."

Thank God the officers hold her mom, or else she would be black and blue by now. Both the officer now look at each other.

"I swear I didn't took anything from her purse!" Morrisey almost cry.

"Is there a problem officer?" A man with checker box shirts and a dark blue jeans approach them. It's Mr. Sanderson who lives next door. Off course a sight of police car must have intriqued him and her mom.

"Do you live here, sir?" asked the younger officer.

"Yes, I live next door." he said. "What's wrong?"

"This woman claimed her daughter stole her money and credit card."

"Is that so. Actually, officer can I talk to you alone for a second over there. There's something I need to talk to you about." Mr. Sanderson said. Both him and the officer walk away from the scene.

"Well, aren't you going to take her to jail? That piece of shit, stole my money. I know for sure!" Morrisey's mom still at it. Deep down Morrisey know she's not wholely innocent. Her mom did gave her the credit card, but she did stole 50 dollars from her wallet.

The young officer and Mr. Sanderson comes back.

"Ahh., it seems we can not find any evidence that your daughter stole from you.." the young officer said. "But, we're going to process it downtown. Right, Burt. With Imelda and everything.."

Imelda seems a code for something, because now the officer called Burt looks at Morrisey differently.

"I guess.. Well, we're going to leave this as it is." He said.

"What?!! You're not going to arrest her?" her mom yelled in dissapointment.

"Is that your groceries?" the younger officer asked Morrisey.

"Yes."

"Do you have the receipt?"

Morrisey hands the officer the receipt to him. The younger officer shows it to Burt.

"Usually when teenager stole credit cards, they use it for buy clothes, shoes, beer, expensive stuff, you know.. your daughter here bought essential daily needs. I think we weigh in on the facts that you probably forget you told your daughter to buy groceries today. Is that right, Mam?"

"No! I swear she stole my money! That damn kid!" Morrisey mother yelled.

"Mam, did you take anything today? Something that might intoxicated you?" Burt asked Morrisey's mom.

"What.. I'm not.."

"Mam, we need you to step aside and do a sobrierty test."

But suddenly the radio on the police's car sounded. The younger officer answers it, and after he said to Burt, "Come on, Burt. We need to go."

"But..but.." Morrisey mom unsatisfied.

"We'll make a report about your living situation, okay." said Burt to Morrisey, as he left her alone with her mom.

Morrisey sighed, the good thing she's off the hook with those cops, the bad thing is.. she looks at her mom who stares at her angryly. She better prepared for tonight.

"Evening, Mrs. Lane." John Sanderson greeted.

"Yeah, evening." Morrisey's mom just walks back in to her house.

"Hey, Morrisey. How are you?" John now talks to her.

"Fine.."

"Hey, listen Morrisey, if things get really bad, you can come to our house okay, we call the cops for you. I'll tell the cops what's going on at your house."
