93 Chapter 87
"Careful, this is not an easy opponent." Hagoromo conveyed through the mental link as the aura of void erased everything it touched.
The moment they closed the distance, the dragon would notice them. It's aura would try to erase them. He could resist it with his power and help the kids resist it as well but it was unknown how the battle could go.
He wasn't one for battle and had never really participated in many battles as the battle with his mother was the only real battle of his life.
"Father, can you follow my lead?" Kurama asked as he knew that his father wasn't a warrior like Naruto. In this battle he was the most experienced fighter besides Kara.
It was really awkward saying such a thing and he had hesitated but he couldn't act like a child when the situation depended on their utmost efforts.
He wasn't the only was affected by the words as Hagoromo was pretty much surprised. It really showed that his young child had grown into an older man with skills of his own.
It made him happy especially since Kurama wasn't like a lost child anymore and he wasn't suffering the cruelty of humanity. He had real friends besides him.
"Heh, go on. I will follow your command, Kurama." Hagoromo replied with a gentle smile and Kurama nodded.
Kurama focused on the situation and he shared his thoughts. Even without being combined with Naruto, Kurama wasn't the Kurama of old anymore. His energy had changed to the immortal chakra already and he was a master of Sage mode.
Using his powers he could feel the void erasing nature around it, controlling a little bit of gravity he applied it on the target region but saw it get cancelled.
He went for space manipulation and once again it got cancelled. Locking onto the foe, Kurama created the Ultimate technique of his father.
He created the Truth seeking balls. It was a skill that erased on the subatomic level. It erased the soul and cancelled out all other energies if didn't contain the power of nature.
"My attacks can hit the target and as you can see, father you will need to use the best of your capabilities. Pamela, don't hold back on the power from Gaia and Kara, we are going in together as you will need me." Kurama said as he turned to Kara.
Kara understood what he meant, the void was erasing the sunlight around them and even though she had resistance it could drain all her energy.
"I am ready."
With that Kurama combined with Kara once again like their fight with Naruto. She was covered in the golden armor with black outlines and the fox shaped helmet with the animalistic glare that would cause lower beings to vanish in its sight.
Kurama alone was powerful enough to reach quarter of star level but with Kara, they were directly promoted to Star level. They were the strongest fighters in this group as Pamela was Planet level while Hagoromo was Large Planet level as he returned to the peak of his power.
Hagoromo was proud of Kurama and even surprised what he was seeing as he had never imagined such a combination.
His child had already surpassed in pure power but now he could tell how much powerful he had become.
"Follow my lead!" Kurama commanded as he locked onto the target and used the power of nature to use multiple bijuu lasers from different directions.
The laser utilizing the power of space and mixed with destruction property collided with the void aura. The dragon had not noticed Kurama and Kara because they had become part of nature itself or it would have woken up once they combined.
The beams easily passed through the aura but the distance allowed the dragon to wake up as it roared in rage and unleashed a barrier that began from its body and pushed against the attacks.
It took in the assailants.
'Otsutsuki filth, Kryptonian maggot and a primordial beggar, how dare they attack me?' The Void dragon was an elder from one of the oldest species in the universe. Its power allowed it to traverse through the Multiverse and it was a species that directly passed information to the future generation.
It was knowledgeable about all kinds of beings around it. Being the avatar of nothingness, the void dragon had only desire to fill its empty existence.
Every Void dragon had its own personality and preferences. The Void Dragon Elder was called Ophis. It was a very old being that had forgotten its age as it mattered not since it was an immortal being.
It liked to rest and find new ways to make it satisfying. That was the reason why it occupied such an unusual thing.
It had minimized its size to an ant and the real size was big enough to rival earth. It was a powerful being with an arrogant personality. It saw itself as the superior being, no matter whom it was facing as nothingness was greater than everything.
The void will one day envelop everything and the Void dragons would lead that charge. It had the power to make solar systems disappear and just its passive energy erased everything.
The foes were lower beings but the golden one was growing and resisting its power.
'Troublesome.'
"Mortals, what is the meaning of this?" Ophis demanded as it woke up and shook its body, glaring at Kurakara.
The words surprised them as they had expected a violent monster.
Kurakara and Pamela looked at Hagoromo, 'Don't stop. It won't give you anything unless you prove yourself.'
With that they focused on the target once again.
The dragon flapped its wings and launched itself towards Kurakara while Hagoromo used his sword made from the TSB to slash it and Pamela produced vines from her body to capture the target.
Kurakara saw Ophis coming and flew towards it while focusing their powers to enhance their attack and resistance.
At the last moment, they ducked and kicked Ophis in the chin while Hagoromo slashed the tail that came at them.
Pamela caught its wings but the vines were disappearing and Ophis glared in her direction as it released a wave of void energy while focusing on a breath attack.
Kurakara focused energy and produced a giant energy blade, hitting Ophis in the head making it miss the shot while Hagoromo formed spear from the TSB and launched them at Ophis.
The spears hit the wings and left some damage on them but couldn't pierce through as Ophis had resistance to getting erased and its body was strong enough to handle Hagoromo's strongest attacks.
The giant golden blade left a nasty gash on the scales causing Ophis to get angered as it's beautiful scales were damaged.
The damage healed instantly but the fact it happened was unforgivable. The snake like eyes glared at Kurakara and its tail went for Hagoromo but the man teleported away as he felt the danger. The dragon was faster than him but his senses were beyond his actual level.
Ophis attacked the fusion warrior with its claws and they dodged its strikes before hitting it with a hammer strike with giant golden arms that sent it crashing allowing Hagoromo to slash its softer underbelly and Pamela to attack it with thorn drill.
Ophis felt the attacks coming through its natural aura, its aura of nothingness was affecting them and consuming their energy at a higher rate but they had resistance that allowed them to fight it for some time.
It had already realized that the size was giving them a better fighting chance so Ophis shrunk to a smaller size and spun while releasing small compressed balls of void energy.
Hagoromo sensed the danger and he let the attack leave his hand while teleporting away with Pamela but he realized that the small time it took him to help Pamela caused him to get hit by one of the attacks.
His leg had a melon sized hole. His flesh had disappeared and it was infected by the aura of the void. The regeneration was cancelled and the best he could do was stop the bleeding.
Kurakara blocked the attack with the TSB barrier with few layers while releasing a charged heat vision that operated like the omega beam. Naruto had learned about Darkseid and copied it.
It had the powers of intense heat, power of space and the power of sub-atomic disintegration. It would follow the foe and won't stop once released as nature provided the energy for it.
The only difference would be the power of the beam and the fact that it didn't have the affect of the Death that is Life, also known as "The Life Trap". The Omega Sanction, when inflicted on an individual, trapped them in an endless succession of synthetic lives, each one more degrading and hopeless than the last.
This was before Naruto's ascension and now he could easily replicate the full affect of Darkseid Omega beam but it didn't suit him as he disliked torturing his foes.
Ophis saw the beam coming at him and saw the concentrated fire power that was followed countless bijuu beams that also had concentrated fire power. Kurakara had been charging since the start of the battle and all the fire power was unleashed at the moment, covering up the whole area with attacks that were unavoidable.
Ophis was a dragon and in the face of danger it never backed down but roared in defiance. It felt the excitement of the battle awaken. Its natural instinct to fight awakened and Ophis spat out an energy ball that exploded prematurely.
'So troublesome!' Ophis thought as it released a concentrated blast of void energy from its body and using the blast to cover up all the attacks.
Locking onto the golden warrior, Ophis crashed into the main foe as it took the chance given by the small gap.
Kurakara felt the danger but the power of space was cancelled by Ophis and it bit them, trying to cover them up but they blocked its mouth with force.
This locked them in place and Ophis released the flames of nothingness directly at them. Hagoromo worked together with Pamela and pulled them away quickly with a vine as alone their powers would have been erased.
They were successful but a large part of Kurakara's power had been consumed by the void.
'Father, I will need your help. Please help us gather energy.' Kurama asked as he realized the opponent was getting to dangerous for them to handle.
The Sage also realized this fact. His knowledge had been second hand and it was the first time had faced this kind of dragon.
Pamela also realized she could only provide support and her mind went on the high drive.
'Can you also let me feel the process?' Pamela asked and Hagoromo looked at her, he could see the power of nature on her body. It was higher quality than his energy but she lacked in experience and reserves.
'I will guide you.' Hagoromo backed away as he had realized that most of his skills were unusable against this foe.
Kara felt the danger they were in at the moment but she felt no fear or hesitation. It was for Naruto so there was no stepping back.
She won't allow herself to back down or get hurt causing him to intervene. No matter what she wanted, Naruto was very possessive of them. He was very protective of them and their souls were touched by him, and if danger appeared he will know.
'How long do you think it will take?' Kara asked as she was worried about the time. They had been fighting for less than a minute but the battle wasn't showing a sign of ending anytime soon.
'We should win soon enough. The dragon is powerful, stronger than us but our powers keep on increasing. It has been keeping us from growing from the beginning, but with father's help the progress should increase and let us fly on ahead of its grasp.' Kurama replied with a confident tone. He had foreseen their victory. There was no way for the enemy to win unless someone intervened.
Ophis didn't focus on the two bugs and fought against the golden queen while the duo worked their magic at the back.
Hagoromo helped Pamela and she felt the process of absorbing nature into her body. She took it in naturally and had plants bloom on the asteroids nearby as they absorbed the energy from all around them, and fed it into her body.
On the other hand the Sage collected energy from the Universe around them and hid it away from the dragon with expert control.
'It's ready.'
With that signal, the duo flew into the energy orb and absorbed all the energy gathered that caused their power to skyrocket.
Kurakara didn't take it all in and directly focused it on an attack, 'It's the end!'
With that thought, a black beam was released from the eyes and it was too fast to avoid. It was too strong to cancel and it directly hit Ophis in the chest, carrying it faraway while it tried to resist. The dragon expanded in size as it lost control and it was dragged into the nearest star, causing it to explode.
Pamela covered them with her plants as both of them were weakened after releasing that much energy and expanded all the power she had gathered.
The team looked on ahead as they gathered their breaths and as the light died down they saw Ophis with a large hole in its body.
The explosion had also harmed it but most of it had been cancelled by its power of the void.
"Wait, this is getting to damn annoying. What are you here for?" Ophis spoke before any action could be taken and Hagoromo stopped them.
"We need the corpse inside the meteorite." Hagoromo replied.
Ophis's eyes twitched at that answer. They came for something completely worthless and beat her for it.
'Let it go. It will only get worse if we continue and those eyes behind them are too dangerous.'
"Take it and get lost." Ophis growled as it tore the space and flew into it. It needed to return to the void between the dimensions to heal from the damage and get away from that powerful gaze.
