Death can't be considered because, if you're afraid to die, there's no room in your life to make discoveries.

One year had been pass since my arrival in this unknown land. Truthfully, I was still as confused as back then. Who did not? You slept to reduce your fear only to find yourself awoke in the body of some unknown newborn. That's only made people more afraid for sleeping, right? Also, how many times I tried to deny the fact my soul transmigrated into this body, reality always knocked me out hard. At least, I transmigrated into a female newborn and not the other way around.

I thought if I could make this body passed that night alive, it would be enough for me to make myself awoke from this state. How wrong I was, I still could not wake up. Then, I decided to let myself went with the flow until I realized one year had been pass and still trapped in this body. I was panic back then when I could not wake up with how many times I forced myself to be truly awake. Finally, I decided to find every information about this place - this land - from eavesdropped someone to asked the orphanage's nanny directly.

Coincidentally, this world had the same language as my mother language. So, the language barrier was not a problem for me. I gathered I was in the small city called Anala in the region of Aksata of Nusantara Kingdom. What the hell? Not only trapped in the pre-technological era, but also stranded in some alternate dimension. Goddammit, where was all this year-worth good luck?

I also suspected the origin of this body was not that simple. The night she was born was the night her mother killed. The strange thing was the killer did not kill her only to dump her in some unknown orphanage to fend herself. If it was not because of my spirit to stay alive, the newborn might not pass that night alive. What a tragedy for the original owner, not welcomed into the world. The conclusion was either the original's parents were famous for doing good deeds, or they were some fugitives. Hopefully, I wished for the former.

After examining this body, it did not have her mother features, raven-haired, black-eyed, and tan-skinned. However, she had ivory skin with cute button nose in the middle of her blue doe eyes, sides of her face wrapped with metallic silver locks. Silver locks!!! Damn, I stranded in the alternate dimension where silver-colored was normal for hair coloring. Even so, I looked exotic compared to my usual self.

"Timun Mas [1], snap out of it," a voice broke up my self-reflect. I found myself staring at worried green eyes that I was familiar. The kind old lady who took me in.

"I was sorry, Ma'am. I got lost on the road of life," answered me charmingly. 'And it is the truth,'

"Child, you only one-year-old and already daydream so much," said the old lady. "Go, play with the other child or else,"

A threat was hanging in the place.

"Okay, Ma'am. I will go now," my feet shoot toward the door, leaving an amused old lady alone.

"For god's sake, that child will be a hermit if I don't force her to play outside," the old lady shook her head affectionately.

Since the day she took in the child, she always felt she got thousand-years-worth good luck. She got an obedient so as a prodigy child. She was only one year old, but already grasped the language and spoke in a great articulation. A prodigy indeed, right? A child sent by Heaven.

The old lady did not know how wrong was the way of her thinking. The truth was the child was a teenager from a different dimension that coincidentally had the same language as her mother language.
