58 51. Arthur
"You never let me introduce before we were off to a bad start". She gave him the stink eye as she said.
"Well that's your fault as you attacked first". Alex didn't back down as he quipped back immediately.
"But now we can at least introduce ourselves right". He asked with a smile.
"Alright. I am Y'Mera Xebella Challa. Mera for short". She said as they let go of each other's hand.
"So if I am not going to let you go supervision free here considering your threat level. Guess we can work together to make the life easier for both of us". Alex said as he looked at her while keeping his hands in the pockets.
"I guess". Mera nodded as she agreed.
"So what is your mission?" Alex asked.
"I am here to find someone". Mera replied.
"Well that someone should have a name and some characteristics". Alex asked back with a mocking tone.
"I know where he is". Mera replied back as she rolled her eyes.
"Oh that'll be easy then. Come on lead the way". Alex nodded as he acted all cheerful.
"You're not as bad as I thought". Mera smiled as she started walking.
"You're not bad either". Alex said as he winked at her.
It was night time and Mera wanted to take the cover of the night to quickly contact Arthur. This will also make sure that she is not spotted by someone while here.
They quickly made their way over to a house near the beach. You could see a lighthouse just a small distance away from the house.
There were big rocks near the place and a small wooden harbour was also made to hoist boats there.
Mera sped up as she got to the house and tried to knock on the door. Alex quickly got close to her as he motioned her to keep quiet.
He had perceived danger with his Haki and knew that there were more than two people inside the house and they were fighting.
Just as they stopped. A merman looking guy bursted through the wall and rolled all the way to the beach.
Mera and Alex exchanged a look as they barged through the door and quickly made their way to the fight scene.
"Who are you guys?" A buff guy asked as he fought the merman singlehandedly while protecting an old guy behind him.
"Here to help". Alex replied as he quickly got into the fray and started his onslaught.
"Mera, protect the old man. While I take care of these guys with this dude". Alex instructed as they quickly fought the mermen.
Mera nodded as she trusted him enough to not go back on his word from what she observed. Mera stood in front of the old man as she took her combat stance.
Arthur was the one fighting with those mermen. He was wary of these strangers but they were currently the best backup that he had.
They faced off against the mermen as they beat them together. Alex was using his Spirit force to get past their high tech armour and Arthur was using his brute force.
Alex really found out that he wasn't really the best in DC if you just accounted his strength but if you put Gold Experience in the fro then the results will be vastly different.
Strength wise, he cannot compare to the heavy hitters like SuperMan, Mera, Wonder Woman etc but when it comes to intellect, technique and ingenuity. He is on par with OG Batman.
They finished them off as Alex was able to easily handle more guys than Arthur as he was just using Brute force to punch randomly like a thug.
"I will take car of these guys. You finish your business". Alex said as he slowly took all the defeated Atlanteans out of the now destroyed house.
After going out, he quickly dried them of their Life Force as he had an ecstatic expression on his face. The feeling was like having an ejaculation after a whole week of abstinence.
'I feel like I am becoming more and more of a villain'. He rubbed the back of his head and used Gold Experience to dispose these bodies in a far corner.
He was back in under a minute. When he came back, the two sides were looking at each other vigilantly and were about to speak.
"Yo". He made his entry with the classic perverted guy's salute.
They looked at him for a second and then ignored him altogether.
"Well that was rude". Alex muttered under his breath as he sat down on a nearby chair.
"You have to do this". Mera said with a pleading tone.
"I am no king". Arthur replied back with a smile as he prepared to leave this broken house with his father.
"But billions of lives depend on this. If you turn your back. You will be forsaking your heritage and the people of both worlds". Mera said as she tried to convince him.
"Listen, I said the same thing to Vulko but I am not going to become Atlantis' king". Arthur said as he turned back to look at Mera.
"Listen dude, from what I can tell in this speech is that she needs you to go become Atlantis' king to probably stop some kind of invasion and you don't want to go.
Can you tell me why because I would jump at the offer to have a beautiful wife and a whole kingdom". Alex said the part to Arthur in a playful tone while winking at Mera on the last part.
"They persecuted my mother and now expect me to save them. Fat chance". Arthur replied as he scoffed at the both of them.
"So they took your mother as some kind of traitor as she did some kind of taboo and I can probably guess the taboo as well.
But my guy, have you ever considered that if you were to become the King. You can at least help to protect your Mother's honour and clear her name?!" Alex asked rhetorically as he raised one of his eyebrows.
