2 A Long Forgotten

the sky was clear and the ocean was silent, the birds were screeching on the sky, there was a boat in the middle of an ocean a man leaning on his chair with a hat on top of his face. his fishing rod and the bucket beside him,

*Sigh*

after that a line started to move on the rod a fish was caught, the man was happy, his head started to spin and hurt.

*Flashback*

It's been years since my father thought me how to survive on my own... my grandfather served the army about 34 years since I was born but he came to visit when I was 10 years old he gave me a gift. His 'knife' this knife wasn't ordinary knife this knife was special to him because the original owner of this knife was his former comrade and companion who served in the Army and betrayed his Squadrons...

*End of the Flashback*

I remember the knife he gave me. I got up and search the 'gift' he gave me as I look at the deck and I remembered that I left it hanging at the left side of the wall. I remembered how my grandfather died that day when he was serving for his country.

few years passed

When I reach the age of 16 my father began to train me to become a 'soldier' however my mother was against the 'training' still I've decided that I wanted to 'train' in order to protect my family when she heard it she cried and her mind became shallow. For months my parents scold and fight day and night until one faithful night. I still remember it like it was yesterday right in front of my eyes I saw my father beat and tortured my mother over and over and over until her final breathe. I remember the look on my father's face the face of a murderer the face that enjoyed to kill. while my mother was bleeding to death I remembered her voice like it was speaking to me a faint voice and I began to cry that faint voice wrapped around me and her final words was "I love you son".

*end of flashback*

As time passes by after searching the entire deck I found a letter from my Grandfather a birthday message for me " ahhh"

*Flashback*

"Happy birthday James" my mother said to me while I was going downstairs. Are your party guest coming yes mom I already told them about my birthday. we should be ready for you party we don't want your guest getting hungry my mother said. Then my father came home and he brought a large box. I said to my father can I open the box dad. not until your grandfather is home said my dad. As time passed by I began to suspect that no one is coming I felt lonely in my heart then a faint knock on the door was heard from our living room I jumped for joy. As soon as my father opened the door a man was standing in our front door wearing a gray military clothes and he was holding a letter. While I was peeking in the distant I saw a familiar patch an eagle symbol with as sword and I remembered my grandfather used to wear those. I raced in front of the door and asked the man is my grandfather here while my father is holding me in the shoulders. The man asked my father " Are you Sgt. Johnson Turner codename Black Reaper?".

My father started to laugh " so you still remembered my moniker? " Sir may I classify that you are the son of General 'Albert Turner'? when my father heard it he smiled and said yes, The man became depressed because of the news he carried. He said " Your father died in a sudden ambush when he and his 18th Infantry soldiers were going to depart. Your father sacrificed his life just to saved his friends and his whole platoon. Your father died in a crossfire. He gave me this. As he took a picture of his family and a pocket watch in his pocket. he said I love you my family and it's an honor serving our beloved land until his final breathe. Turner wanted to give this to his grandson a letter attached to that letter is his army badge, a handgun and his journal specifically given to his grandson if he died in battle. Your grandfather's final wish is that your grandson should join the army and bring peace to this God awful land full of war, betrayal and hatred. My father looked down on me and said son this war is not your battle. I said to my father I'm determined to stop this war and to fulfill my grandfather's dying wish.
