27 Cursed Sun (4)

Taking my first step through the spatial portal, I felt something sucking me inside.

When my head went through, I saw the city Cursed Sun.

Just like this place name, the city is also called Cursed Sun.

When I went completely through the portal, I noticed identity registering house and guards.

There weren't many guards yet, and the moment guards spotted me, a group moved to meet me.

When they reached close enough, we greeted each other.

After that, they explained to me what happened here, and now this planet is ruled by a Hundred and one Gods who were all powerful enough to restore strength in a few days.

I don't remember this part, because I arrived here a lot later and many people were already exploring the city.

After they finished explaining what happened here, one of the guards guided me to register myself.

When we got into the identity registration house, the guard said something to receptions and told me that he had to go back.

Then I went to finish registering myself.

Me: Hello, I would like to make an identity card.

Reception: First give us your name, we have to confirm that you were before sealed here.

Me: Oliver Slaughter.

When I said my name, reception put his hand on the cube which was on her desk and looked through it.

I have used the cube as well, its useful and every guild in the past went through the trouble of getting the blueprint.

On the info cube, you can record images and words. Though there are a lot better items, at the beginning this is the best people could fork out. And crafting it doesn't require much.

It demands a unique metal named recording metal. For my luck, my planet has a lot of it, but only above ground.

To find it, I need to use tier one fire crystal in maximum capabilities and heat the ground, parts that shine will be recording metals.

Reception: I found you, welcome officially back. How was it back in the world?

Me: I wasn't that lucky, I got thrown on a dead planet. Because of that, I was quick to get back.

It's important to lie. Even if rulers here don't care, the rest may still care. It's not uncommon for guards to beat the crap out for something, or shop keepers secretly blot something behind your back.

Reception: Seems you were quite unlucky?

Me: Very unlucky, I probably have to find a job as well.

Reception: There are many new jobs available and since you are the first to arrive back, lot of options, but don't waste much time. You never know when the rest will start coming back.

Me: You stayed here?

Reception: Yes, I am already working under someone, here only to give people ropes.

I nodded.

Reception: Well, as the first person to arrive, we were told to gift the first ten people a house.

Me: Oh? Where?

Reception: Did the guard tell you anything about the city?

Me: He asked what I had experienced, and told me that gods guess that this will happen. And new gods don't want us to come back. That's why the old gods built a city here.
