Prologue

This world is no different than yours or mine. It is a place of understanding and knowledge. Where the population of the world almost universally consists of humans. Where monsters and demons and gods and being of mass destruction live. It's a world of destiny. Of choice. Of monsters and men, where people murder and monsters hide.

And no one lives in this world to hide. No one lives to be trampled on, and killed, and persecuted. So chaos was born. God made the world and he decided to take from it. He made a single child and let him walk the earth, feel the trees, learn the language, murder, survive, fight, become human. But after hundreds and thousands of years, this human forgot their god blood and assimilated to humanity. End then the world evolved, and monsters came out of the shadows. People with powers, beings with abilities. They traveled the earth and all came to one place. A city. The city of Portsluck.

But our story starts off in a small town. Where a dirty-blonde-haired boy, with silvery eyes, named Michael Orange, finally set off into the big unknown old world before him.

You see, Michael had a dream. A dream to become big someday and support his mother and two younger sisters. But like everyone else who lived outside of the city, he was poor, and sad, and lonely, but surprisingly he still had dreams. Dreams to become a photographer and become wealthy.

When Michael turned five years old his father mysteriously disappeared. But with his disappearance, he left a present. A small gift-wrapped box with a note saying: [To my presence son. Open when you become an adult.]

Michael lived by this message until he turned the ripe age of eighteen. And once he felt that his life was about to reach a turning point, he pushed open his closet, ripped apart the present, and opened it up.

But to his surprise, he found nothing inside but a single note.

A note saying: [Portsluck]

---

Portsluck was and still is known as the biggest city in the world, with a monstrous population of over twenty million people. But unlike its more regal name, the city also had another term for its living conditions. The city of hell. This name came about mainly because of the constant daily disasters that would befall the city. Robberies, murders, terrorists, monsters, demons, and everything and anything bad that could happen, happened in this city.

So without much pre-preparation, Michael packed up his things, said goodbye to his family and friends, and took the plunge into the savage and strange world of Portsluck.

But he didn't come fully unprepared. The first thing he did was, he set his sights on a broadcasting company located in the city.

But that still wasn't all. Even with all those factors. With his father's final wish. And with all the opportunities displayed before him. There was something else pulling his strings. Something entirely different. Something internal. A deep blood-filled force. Something within himself, pulling his strings, making him move.
