Alot to Explain

Along the outskirts of Guram City

Junya's mind was awoken by loud snoring echoing across the room. He realised he had returned to reality

"W- Where am I… And what the hell is that noise?" Junya wondered, forcing his aching body to get up. Despite his blurred vision, he took the chance to look around. He was in someone's room.

The loud snoring continued he was sure he would rock the buildings off their foundation. What the hell could sound like that?' Junya couldn't seem to locate the source.

Groggily he got up in his half-woken state and slowly walked across the room. His footsteps were a mere patter compared to the constant snore. Junya pushed against a wooden door and was welcomed by the faint sound of the TV. He didn't need to look far until he pinpointed the noise of the sound.

He could see the couch practically vibrating from the sound coming from it. He was cautious. The last thing he remembered was a different reality created in his mind, so he wasn't willing to take any chances.

Junya walked to the couch's armrest and peeked over.

It was a tall woman who was scantily dressed in a Mirena and shorts. She had clean white skin and fiery red hair which she left untamed.

She slept in an awkward position which led to Junya catching a small peak through her clothes.

'Wait… Is that what I think it is...' Junya was shocked to be able to look at an older woman like this.

Wham!

"Ugh!" Junya felt his chest tremble from a lightning speed kick from the woman. He fell to the ground, leaving a gaping hole in the wall. Winded, he tried to gasp for breath but only choked until his chest finally allowed him to breathe.

"You're lucky I'm too tired to finish what I started. Clean the whole house and have dinner ready for me before I wake up," She snapped before falling back into her seemingly restful slumber.

'What the fuck is happening, is this not a hyper-realism exercise?' Junya said surprised, he walked along the walls of the room, trying to get as much distance from the woman as possible.

After he reached the other side of the room, he made a break for the window. He wasn't sure what he expected but he heard noises that registered in his head for the first time.

Honk! Honk!

"Are those all cars?" Junya's pupils practically dilated to take in the view. There were at least dozens of vehicles driving at once, back in Berger town, his school, and the B.M.A department was the only establishment to have one.

He saw people walking down the street as if they were going to work, the roads were paved with no holes and the lingering gangs on the side of the road disappeared.

Billboards that showed advertisements for weapons flipped. People getting in and out of cars and the abundance of different fashion styles they all had. It was also Junya's first time seeing different kinds of people.

Some were dark-skinned while some carried blonde hair. Others had purple and pink locks which simply blew his mind. Though Junya couldn't be one to judge considering his platinum blonde hair drew appalling stares wherever he went.

He continued to gaze admirably onto the street like a dog to a bone. Glass clanging in the kitchen snapped him out of his trance. He hurried back from the window to see the woman finishing a glass of water.

As she finished, she looked directly at him, "I told you to clean up and have dinner ready before I woke up, why is it not done" Her voice was feminine with a slight rasp.

"I got carried away looking at the view" Junya replied, taking the chance to look at her closer. She was tall with a muscular build which never took away from her womanly charm. Over her eye was a small vertical scar that looked inflicted by a sword.

'Does every Mobster have scars?'

She ignored him, sitting at the table. "Sit here, it's good that I explain things to you now."

Junya sat obediently on the couch in front of her, practically flattened presumably because of her prolonged sleeping.

"Just so you know, you barely passed the scenario test, I heard you actually failed but they let you live on a technicality" She explained. "After you were discharged from the Military you were brought here to my apartment"

"Sorry for sounding rude but why? And where is Amus..."

"I'm gonna be your caretaker, it was one of the conditions of you gaining citizenship. My name is Alice and I've been long acquainted with Amus. As for your second question though, he is gone"

"Eh? Gone where" Junya asked.

"Take a guess at how long you've been sleeping," Alice replied abruptly.

"Three hours?"

"Five days"

Junya only widened his eyes in surprise. "Then does that mean Amus is gone?"

"Yep, he probably loaded up on Jobs before leaving. Bastard never even came to see me before he left." Alice clicked her tongue changing the topic.

"Now since we're having this talk, it's time we get into more serious details." Alice cut to the chase, "During the questioning they said you don't remember what happened to you. But I'm asking you, could you take a guess?"

"Well….uh... I can't"

"You got consumed by your blessing and became a puppet. That alone can cause tremendous harm, which is why one of my Jobs is to make you control it better.

Amus said that you were weak and lacked any form of battle sense in his report, yet also said you were uncaring of wounds. Even though I could take a guess at your blessing, I'm not sure If I know any Angel blessings that make you like that" Alice worded her statement as a question.

"Well, I… Don't know either..." Junya blatantly lied.

"Either way, my job is to train you to be in control of your blessing, I will need to know it in the future. However, we can start off small. Does your blessing give you urges?" Alice queried.

Junya's reaction said it all, with a blatantly surprised look plastered over his face.

"Don't look so frightened, I'm basically your only family here and lucky for you I don't have any either so you can think of me as your aunt."

"My mom doesn't like her, it's been a long time but whenever I asked about my other family, she always got serious," Junya explained.

Alice froze when she realized another crucial piece of information. 'This kid's mother was from the Wotanbe noble family, she got disowned for her actions so there's no wonder they grew up like this'

Eventually, she gave a defeated facepalm, the realization of what had to be explained was almost overwhelming.
