39 Subordinate System
Long Chen left feet was already positioned to quickly leave, when a notification abruptly sounded within his head.
He paused in his footsteps, his expression filled with bewilderment. This was the System's notification, and he didn't do anything out of the norm right now. So what activated it?
As this question drifted within his mind, he stumbled back in shock in the next second.
He was, at this point, absolutely flabbergasted.

Feature 3: Loyalty Meter – Higher the loyalty, the greater the benefits.
Note: Subordinate cannot betray Host.
Si Chen stood at his original spot, his eyes seemingly staring into blank space for a while, looking every bit like an idiot who lost his mind.
Hun Yan who was kneeling down, glanced at the blanked out Si Chen, and worrying about his mental state, he immediately went up and shook his hand in front of him.
It was only after a long time that Si Chen managed to pull himself out of his stupor.
He couldn't be blamed for such an exaggerated reaction, since the new feature by itself was defying the heavens itself, never to be seen in the world.
It meant that in the future, he could always have a useful group of people following him whenever he goes, carrying out tasks and collecting resources for him.

Clenching his fists to suppress the boiling thrill and excitement within him, Si Chen put on an expression of seriousness, and spoke in a crisp voice, "Are you sure you all want to follow me? With no regrets, and no second thoughts?"
"Yes!" The bunch of them raised their voice and answered back without a hint of hesitation, even Hun Yan who was standing right in front of him, whose voice nearly burst his eardrums.
"Since you are all so resolute and determined, I feel that it is not right no reject your heartfelt actions. But before head off, could you all gather towards me." Si Chen gestured for everyone to come towards him, as he needed to carry out the acceptance of his subordinates.
They all rose up from their knees and move towards him. Although they were puzzled as to why Si Chen asked him to, but they still followed.

After he heard this, Long Chen smiled as he allocated Hun Yan to his Lower Subordinate, while the other 9 became his Lesser Subordinate.
When he was done with this, 10 marks suddenly appeared from Long Chen's body.
They flew towards the 10 people in front of him, who were looking on which bewilderment. Then the marks pierce through their clothes, and started to imprint themselves onto their shoulders.
Only after the marks were fully imprinted, did the next process start.
The marks itself carried with it a mysterious power within that coursed through the bodies of each and every of them.
Suddenly, Long Chen could see that these marks were absorbing something from their bodies. It was the glowing energy that had coagulated itself to become a mass of energy.
The ten people, having this energy leave their body, abruptly felt a wave of fatigue and powerlessness, and raised their heads to look up at Long Chen with complicated expressions, within their minds, wondering whether if he was trying to harm them.
Long Chen himself did not know what these marks were currently doing, until he saw the masses of energy floating towards him from every one of their bodies.
This was their talent!
The Cultivation Talent that most people possessed!
This was what allowed them to cultivate and become a true cultivator.
Under his unblinking eyes, they entered his body, and gave him a refreshed feeling.

Although they did not know of how Long Chen managed to do this, however they did not ask any questions, because they were the ones who received this heavenly benefits. What was there to question about this? Thus, they all silently accepted this.

"Master?" Long Chen stared down at the members of the Fierce Tiger Gang, now his subordinates, as he wrinkled his nose.
He didn't like this term.
"Call me Young Master instead." Long Chen ordered. He was only 13, so he deserved to be called young anyways.
"Young Master" They bowed and followed his words. However, they found it quite weird that this middle aged man was telling them to call him as young.
Regardless, they were his subordinates, so they kept this within their hearts.
"Quickly rise." Long Chen lightly chuckled, as he slightly waved his hands.
And after they stood back up, he went towards Hun Yan and did a check on his current information.

It seems like only Lower Subordinate rank had that change to them, while the Lesser Subordinates were not entitled to his benefit.
