66 Elder Feng

As he was having these thoughts within his mind, a person slowly approached him while calling out his name in greeting.

"Mu Rang?" Long Chen lightly scrunched up his eyebrows. He was the person he had met in the Glory Maple Restaurant during the conflict with Hun Yan.

"Long Chen! It's been quite a while. I have heard so much about you within the Inner Courtyard lately. It looks like you are quite the famed character here!" Mu Rang amiably smiled as he strode over.

"And from the looks of it, it seemed like you have completed the 3 Star mission that you have been rumoured to take up?" Mu Rang continued speaking as he asked.

"Oh? You must have quite the confidence to guess that I had completed it rather than giving it up. Yeah, I had just handed in the mission on the way back already." Long Chen slightly narrowed his pupils while he was saying this.

A glint flashed past Mu Rang's eyes before he lightly chuckled in response, "Haha, Long Chen. Although the other disciples may not know of your true cultivation, I was able to see it in one glance. It is truly surprising! Looks like you hid rather much of your abilities."

Long Chen studied Mu Rang's aura when he said that, and his eyes shimmered with a hint of shock when he realized that he was unable to see through it.

Mu Rang apparently had caught the look in Long Chen's eyes, as he explained, "I'm actually one of the Elite Disciples here, only just newly promoted, and I don't find it a habit to wear the robes yet."

"I see. Congratulations then, Mu Rang." Long Chen gazed at Mu Rang while casually saying.

"I believe it won't be long before I see you soon. After all, with you cultivation, you indeed quality to be an Elite Disciple already." Mu Rang commented.

"What does it take to become an Elite Disciple?" Long Chen questioned.

Mu Rang eloquently answered, "To be an Elite Disciple, one must reach at least the High-Tier of the Elementary Realm. And as for the Chosens…the minimum requirement is to be in the Sky Realm."

"I'm sure that you are already in the Sky Realm, so why are you not a Chosen yet?" Long Chen thought for a while before he asked again.

"That's right, I am already within the Sky Realm. But although I may be higher in cultivation than the Chosens, my talent and potential cannot compare to them. My age is too high for me to quality amongst their ranks." Mu Rang turned his head as he wistfully said with a wry smile.

"But as for you," Mu Rang then shifted his gaze back on Long Chen, "You belong there. It is just a matter of time."

Long Chen was about to reply, when Mu Rang interrupted him.

"Long Chen, I won't disturb you any further. I'll see you next time." Mu Rang then bid him goodbye before he left.

Staring at his back, Long Chen shook his head and turned back to his courtyard.

The act of him handing in the 3 Star mission was inevitably an act of showing of his capabilities, and he couldn't help but wonder if he had let his emotions control him, and was being too impulsive by being that.

Long Chen began his usual process of cultivation, and was planning to increase his cultivation and sharpen his combat skills before he started to challenge the Heaven's Pride Ranking disciples.

And he also had the 30 sets of pill refining ingredients for him to use.

The auction for his pills he had placed on auction a week ago should have ended by now, and he could go and collect it whenever he was free.

Sitting within the middle of the courtyard, the Qi energy circulated around his body, and small cyclone barely visible to the eye was formed.

He shut off the notifications that rang about within his mind, and concentrated on the steady increase of the energy within him.

Quite a while passed, and Long Chen heard somebody knocking on the door.

He halted his cultivation and stood up to open the door, and an Elder was revealed before his eyes.

"Haha! Long Chen, how are you doing since that fight with Chen Yu Liang? Have your cultivation progressed by much?" The Elder heartily laughed as he greeted Long Chen.

This Elder was the Supervising Elder who was in charge of his fights with the Heaven Pride's rankers in the Outer Court, and Long Chen was rather startled to see in front of his courtyard.

"Elder? Is there a reason why you are here for?" Long Chen glanced at the Elder and slowly asked.

"Don't call me Elder. Call me Elder Feng. Or if you like, you can also call me Grandfather Feng." Elder Feng loudly chuckled while patting Long Chen on the shoulder, and without waiting for his invitation, he went past Long Chen into his courtyard.

"This courtyard is quite big. I'm sure that it would be able to accommodate 2 people." Elder Feng mumbled to himself while looking around.

"Elder Feng?"

"Oh? It is nothing. By the way, Long Chen, I forgot to introduce you to my granddaughter." Elder Feng lifted his head up and said.

"My granddaughter is not only kind and generous, but also beautiful and pleasing. She rarely argues with others, and always has a warm smile on her face. Sometimes I even wonder what good deeds I have done in my past life to have such an amazing granddaughter. I'm sure that both of you will definitely make good pair!" Elder Feng smilingly said.

"Elder Feng, did you come all the way to my courtyard to tell me this?" Long Chen awkwardly smiled as his face went stiff.

Since you have managed to successfully complete a 3 Star mission, the Sect has decided that you now qualify to be an Elite Disciple, Of course, there is also an additional term, which requires you to be of a High-Tier Elementary Realm cultivator, but because we take your talent in regard, we will ignore that."

As Elder Feng was talking, he took a casual glance at Long Chen's aura, and his eyes went as wide as saucers, while his mouth was faintly twitching.

He dryly coughed, and continued to say, "As an Elite Disciple, you will receive 500 Low-Tier Crystals every week for your cultivation use, as well as a choice of a High-Tier Grade 1 Weapon from our Sect Treasury. We will also provide you with a Grade 2 Qi Refining Pill every week, to assist your cultivation."

Long Chen mind went blank after he heard all the privileges he was entitled to. In front of the resources that Elite Disciples receive, what he was getting the last time was nothing but pure shit.

He was also astonished by the Sect's generosity and wealth.

"Do I have to switch courtyards again?" Long Che asked after a while.

Elder Feng took out something from within his storage bag, and he saw that it was similar to the 4 stones that had been placed in the center of his courtyard, which was meant to increase the density of the Qi energy in that location.

He had no idea how it worked, so he had just left it alone and enjoyed the benefits it gave him.
