21 A Hilt with no Blade VI

"Haa-"

Bei Ling recovered her red eyes and let her soul strength went through all the formation. It was a really complicated formation; if it wasn't weakened, it would have taken her a whole day in her good state and about three months in her current one to solve it. As it was weakened and moreover had a covered hole with a formation with a breaking mechanism; it seemed that the formation covering the hole was set up to be used as a door to enter.

After the eight or so hours she took inspecting thoroughly the third formation, it only took her about fifteen minutes to open the formation covering the hole.

"Suuu~"

"You are already awake, little Feng Zi," she asked.

"Fuuu~ Unfortunately," Xia Feng Zi said while blowing smoke out as she saw into the opened hole which within its darkness had glints of light.

She floated up before walking towards the hole.

Xia Feng Zi went in first and Bei Ling followed her from behind.

"Ahh… ammh… those crystals are… Aurora Borealis Godly Crystals, aren't they?" Xia Feng Zi asked with a tired look after she saw the originators of the light inside; a bunch of floating and seven-coloured pupil-sized crystals.

"Yeah, but they are lacking plenty of energy. Part of the weakening of the third formation must be because of this…" Bei Ling answered her back before staring fixedly at the middle.

"Haa-"

'It seems that this day is the day when I'm paying the price for cutting my life in the past. More than any other day, I felt like I can die at any time… tiring days are surely coming up.'

"Suuu~"

'And that thing radiating a reddish light in the middle of this place isn't making things better…'

"Fuuu~"

'… What's that, a hilt with no blade???' Xia Feng Zi added to her line of thinking as she stared at the floating hilt.
