3 Chapter 3

Chapter 3

"Sweetie, how about we prepare breakfast?" Jason asked. The time was actually still early as he had managed to get out of the dimension late dawn.

"Okay. Make food for mama." Noelle nodded her head. Jason smiled at her as he came out of the room leaving Thea to sleep. He can sense that she was really exhausted and needs a rest, he had no idea what her work is but she was not leaving time for herself.

As he made his way down, he heads to the kitchen with great familiarity. How can he not be when this house was their former house before his parents move out and settled on a house at the edge of the city.

Arriving at the kitchen, Jason put Noelle down on a chair as he looks inside the fridge and sees what ingredients are available.

Looking at the leftover English muffin in the fridge, Jason suddenly had an idea of making pizza. He turns to look at the sitting Noelle, she was really silent and did not really talk much.

'I have to fix that later.' Jason thought. He doesn't want her to grow up timid and shy, he wants her to grow up full of courage and not be afraid of anyone.

"Do you like to eat pizza?" Jason asked her.

Noelle's eyes shine as she happily nodded, "Yes. Yes."

"Okay, then." He did a quick searched in his soul storage and saw some ingredients that will be beneficial to both Thea and Noelle.

Jason stood in front of Noelle as he wants to cook in a different way, while also entertaining her at the same time. He waved his hands in front of Noelle while she looked at him with her head to the side.

"Papa?" Noelle asked.

Jason smiled, "Papa's not holding anything, right?"

"En." Noelle nodded.

Jason made a towel appear out of nothing causing Noelle to squeal in excitement. He waved it in front of her as he let her see that it was real.

"Wow, Papa, magic?" Noelle clapped her hand as she excitedly asked.

"Now look." Noelle nodded, as Jason covered his right hand with the towel. It then started floating and after reaching about a half meter, the towel exploded into confetti. The strange thing is that that confetti did not land on the ground as they slowly descend, they disappeared.

Noelle's attention was attracted by the small explosion that she failed to notice the floating eggs that are currently rotating around Jason. By the time she saw them, they were already broken and were now whisk together with cream in a transparent bowl.

She covered her little mouth in amazement as she looks at the floating egg mixture. Noelle saw her papa getting a medium-sized nonstick skillet as he made it float in front of her. A fire then suddenly emerged beneath the skillet.

The transparent bowl then poured the egg mixture inside into the skillet as a wooden spoon started stirring it. Jason was using his hands to move these things, even though he won't have to, he just wants to give his daughter a show.

To make it more fun, he made Noelle's bunny move as it started bouncing in the air. Noelle was surprised seeing this as she tried catching it.

"Noo!" Noelle cried. The bunny which was bouncing away from her, turn back as it snuggled into her arms. Noelle giggled happily, switching between crying and smiling at the blink of an eye.

Jason on the other side sweated as he didn't think that it would cause such a big reaction from her. Luckily, he was quick to think of a solution as he manages to stop her.

He continued cooking while giving Noelle a magic show and soon enough, freshly baked pizza was served on the table. Noelle's eyes were shining looking at the mini pizza in front of her, it smelled really good that she was practically drooling now.

"Wait for me, I'll go wake up mama, okay?" Jason said as he was about to go upstairs and wake up Thea.

Noelle suddenly stopped him as she said, "Noelle wake up mama. Papa wait." saying seriously, which was not successful as she looked really adorable instead.

Jason smiled as he ruffled her hair, before sitting on the chair.

Noelle smiled as she then went upstairs, climbing the staircase step by step, Jason was on the edge of his chair as he looks at her worriedly. With every step she took, she looks like she would fall. Luckily, she managed to climb safely.

*Ding Dong!

The doorbell rang, Jason got curious who would it be this early in the morning. He walked towards the door and opened it, he looks at the one who rang the doorbell and smile seeing who it was.

"Who are you?! What are you doing here in my sister in law's house?!" The young lady in front of him immediately gets into a fighting stance, as the force started to come out of her body. She was emitting a strong killing intent, if it was pointed at others then they would have been intimidated, but it was nothing in front of Jason.

"Seems like you forgot your big brother after not seeing me for five years eh, I wasted my time spoiling you for nothing." Jason faked a sad expression as he looked at the young lady in front of him. She was none other than his younger sister, Julian.

"Brother?!" Julian stared dumbfounded at her big brother who they all thought to have died five years ago. He even looks the same as he was five years ago, it was like he never aged.

"Who else would it be?" Jason asked with a smirked.

"BROTHER!!!!!" Julian, like a bullet charge towards Jason. He was not caught off guard by her sudden charge as he remained standing while Julian wrapped herself around his body like a koala and began crying like a kid, unbefitting to her earlier, 'refined young lady look'.

"There, there...." Jason patted her back. He knows how much suffering he had caused to his family, but he had no control over what had happened to him. All he could do was to make it up to them, now and forever.

After coaxing Julian to stop crying, Jason finally had a chance to take a good look at her and was surprised to see that the little girl who was always covered in dirt has now become a beautiful young lady.

It had just caused him to even wonder if he was adopted and his parents had just kept the truth a secret to him. Julian was a head shorter than him, her long legs were shiny as if they were sprayed with glitters, a porcelain-like skin and her black hair that were bluntly cut only reaching till her shoulder. She looks like a giant bumblebee in her black-and-yellow-striped spandex tank top.

"Brother, is that really you?" Julian asked Jason again. She still couldn't believe it seeing him after five years. She was still 13 at that time and was really close to him and just like what Jason said earlier, she was spoiled rotten by him.

Hearing the news of his death five years ago had truly devastated her, she blamed Thea for what happened to her brother and almost couldn't stop herself from doing something she would have really regretted for the rest of her life. It was fortunate that her mother was able to notice she was acting weird and warned her that Thea was pregnant with his brother's child.

Julian knows that she's being selfish but who can blame her, the person whom she loves the most suddenly died. She was still young so being impulsive was normal, not to mention being selfish.

Even though she still hated Thea up to this day, she can't bring herself to hate the little girl, Noelle. Just like how her brother spoiled her in the past, she promised herself to also spoil his daughter to make up for his absence.

Today was just like any ordinary day for her, just as she was about to play with her beautiful niece, a man who looked like her brother opened the door. Her immediate reaction was to question who the man was and attack him if he has any ill intentions. When she heard what the man said and looking at him closely, she saw the person whom she had always dreamed of seeing once again.

Her feelings controlled her as she tackled him for a hug. She did not even question if he was the real one or not, her heart told her that it is really him. A hug, shared by siblings who had not seen each other for five years was a beautiful sight to see.

"Of course. You have grown up to be such a beautiful lady, I'm really proud of you. If you could just release me and get on your feet, that would be much appreciated." Jason said while his right hand lovingly pinched Julian's right cheek.

"Ow! I don't want to, you have to carry me inside." Julian said like a spoiled little brat. Hearing this, Jason smiled as he grinned wickedly and said.

"Okay then, I guess I'll have to let Noelle see her spoiled aunt." Julian immediately got down of Jason, fixing her clothes as she pushed Jason aside and then went inside.

Jason had let himself be pushed aside because if he didn't, it would have to take a lot more than that just to make him move. After Julian entered, he followed her but not before eyeing at a certain direction with his glowing red eyes.

"Eck!" A strange sound was heard from a distance and was then followed by silence. Jason was satisfied as he then closed the door.

In the bushes, was an unconscious fatty with a foaming mouth.

Inside Thea's room...

Thea woke up while feeling strangely happy.

"I dreamed of him again..." She murmured, thinking that the Jason she had seen earlier was just a dream. The door to her room opened and she saw Noelle entering.

"Good morning baby girl." Thea smiled as she got out of the bed and picked up Noelle into her arms.

"Good morning mama. Papa said we eat now." Noelle also greeted her mother, while telling her what her papa said.

"Okay baby, just let me wash my face, okay?" Thea said with a smile.

"En." Noelle nodded.

Thea was still smiling, but it slowly turned awkward as she realizes something. She looked at Noelle who was also looking at her.

"Baby, did you just said papa?" Thea asked. Wondering if she was just hearing things again.

"En. Papa said we eat breakfast. Mama wash your face fast." Noelle nodded her head, telling Thea to hurry up. She looked really excited and Thea knew that the only time she is excited is if its about food, her papa and mama, or a new toy.

"Wait for me." Thea put Noelle to sit on her bed as she hurriedly went to her bathroom, washing her face and then picking up Noelle on the bed and rushing downstairs. Her eyes were shining with anticipation and hope, expecting that Noelle was not seeing things.

Making her way downstairs, she could hear a male and a female having a conversation. She could recognize the female's voice as her sister in law, but strangely, she could also recognize the male's voice and it was...

"Jason!" The man whom she was thinking every day for five years now was standing in front of her. Wearing a white shirt with YOLO diagonally printed in front, his black hair, and the familiar smile on his face.

"It's really you..." Thea cried. Pinching herself repeatedly, as if to make sure that she was really not dreaming this time. She stared at Jason with her moistened eyes and a tear-stricken face.

"Mama, why are you crying?" Noelle asked her mother who was crying. Her eyes were also threatening to broke into a tearful cry as Jason hurriedly made his way towards her and took her from Thea's arms.

"Sweetie, Mama's just crying because she's happy. Don't worry, okay? Look at you now, you'll look ugly when you cry." Jason coaxes her, smiling gently as he patted her head. Noelle snuggled into his chest as she looked upward staring at him with her large and black watery eyes.

"Really?" Jason nodded, "Of course, look at mama. She's smiling." Pointing at Thea who now have tears flooding out of her eyes while smiling at the two.

"Mama. Happy?" Noelle asked Thea.

"Yes, baby. Mama's just happy that Papa is back home. Really happy." Thea smiled as she nodded. She had got close to the father and daughter duo while tears still keep flooding.

"Noelle's happy too. See Papa, handsome." Noelle said, looked at Jason as if she was appraising him, and then nodded her head in approval.

This earned her a kiss on the forehead from Thea.

"Of course, Papa's handsome. That's why Noelle is pretty." Thea said as she was now in Jason's embrace.

"Mama is also pretty, right, sweetie?" Jason smiled and asked Nolle.

"En," Noelle added.

The three smiled happily as they shared a family hug for the first time in five years.

Julian, looking at them from the side felt happy and annoyed at the same time. Happy because she finally saw Thea smiling genuinely while Noelle smiles her brightest smile. Annoyed because it feels like she had been totally forgotten.

She wanted to say something but decided not to as she didn't want to disturb the happy reunion of the three. She just silently took out her phone, aiming the camera at them and capturing the moment.

Sending it to her parents, telling them the good news. She was sure that they will immediately rush here, knowing that their favorite son was alive and kicking.
