55 Younger generation change

* Riser's POV *

Thanks to mother, it's been a few months that Riser now had that new VR Helmet from Red Troll's Dream that everyone is dying to get since the launch of the game last year. It's incredible what that guy created with technology and magic. The fact that it works even when in the underworld is baffling Riser, but apparently Ajuka is responsible for that side of the project.

And wasn't that a big news to learn that Ajuka Beelzebub was working in a game company with the mysterious Red Troll, forgoing all his current projects. The fact that he simply didn't give a damn about the council's research direction anymore and told them he won't work on anything else for a while was even more baffling.

From what father told Riser, Zekram Bael was furious at the announcement but didn't know what to do when he simply told them if they kept pushing he'll simply hide himself like Alexander Gremory. The fact that the Red Troll Cavern would allow him to do just that was an even worse for the council. especially since none of them had a key yet.

And Alex... He as also becoming a pain in the ass for the council, ... And his father, ... And lady Leviathan, ... And most pantheons actually.

The guy found a way to create the equivalent of devil pieces, but for ANY race. Worse, he told everyone the news and said he will make some when he feels like it. Riser know the Norse already have a few sets.

That guy is just too irresponsible sometimes. But what can they do ? For some reason no one remember where he live, and every scrying or divination method fails when focused on him. And if they became insistent, his "human" maid would appear to give warnings, extremely violent and gruesome warnings. Human my Phenex arse.

That monster was becoming more and more like a boogeyman for the supernatural world. Nothing could stop her, no know method could prevent her from knowing when someone was trying to find Alex, and the worst ? She was just too strong. Riser heard three months ago she teleported in Olympus and smashed Aphrodite with a sucker punch when she took a bit too much interest in him. For an entire week after that she was cursed with ugliness, something that was supposedly impossible to do to a goddess of love and beauty.

No one understand where he found that maid, but there are rumours that she's actually a new form of the Ouroboros dragon god, and he found a way of enslaving her. Some say she's the opposite of the great red and his some kind of dragon of nightmare that he found a way of subduing using his new evil pieces.

But even worse, Riser heard from mother that Alex got a KEY last week ! The first one of our generation actually. The fact the Red Troll acknowledge him made the entire Gremory household look like idiot for pushing him to runaway from home.

It is also giving some hope that maybe father will cancel Riser's engagement with the Gremory bint. I still can't understand what's her problem with Riser. I never did anything to her but from the beginning she kept antagonizing Riser. She was becoming worse and worse with time, and her house reputation going down because of her brother's treatment did not help. Riser still hold hope that father will cancel that stupid contract with the prospect of gaining anything becoming more and more unlikely.

At least Riser had some contacts with Alex before he disappeared and as we kept in touch we became friends. Riser was even shocked when he invited Riser into his house the first time, not that I can remember where it is. Some kind of magic inspired by some child book he told me.

If anything, just becoming his friend was worth having to bear with Rias. Alex was more and more becoming the most important devil of our generation. His genius was clear for all to see now, and from the only party where he made a public appearance, he proved to be politically savvy.

The fact he never came to the underworld anymore was starting to worry many devils, and the Asgardians loved to rub it in our faces since he kept visiting them every now and then. It was actually the only place where you could see him aside from Kyoto where he would sometime visit the Yokai leader after giving her a set of Kyubi talismans. That's right, she could now reincarnate humans in satan blessed Kyubi.

He was also starting to have a growing fangirl base in the supernatural world. The Troll maid in the Red Troll Cavern was apparently one of his fan, and had discretely disseminate some picture of showing Alex's tattooed back while he was showering. Even Riser has to admit that Alex body is exceptionally fit and muscular.

When Riser told him about this the last time he invited me he seemed to blank for a moment before making a weird face. When asked why his monst... Maid didn't do anything about it, he made an even weirder face.

He did told me that his maid was of the mind that every woman in the world should worship him, and that he deserved a giant harem.

Riser could acknowledge that. Riser wanted a great peerage harem after all.

But enough of that. Today I was going to play "Hidden World" again with Alex and our new buddy John Smith Jr. He was a human assassin of the nightmare dragon cabal. they were specialised in killing extremists bent on killing any supernaturals.

By choosing to play the tutorial, you had to play various guys from the church during increasingly recent history periods. It allowed to have a rough understanding of the world and getting hints of various factions moral fibre.

It was why the "non human are demons ! PURGE THEM" church faction has rarely been adopted by players. The fact they were also more often than not the antagonists of most quests didn't help. The game designer clearly understood the supernatural world and made a game of it, bad luck for the church, he didn't like them.

But that's in the past. Today we are joining other players to try and get rid of one of the worst bastard of the game, the coward, elusive and psychopath exorcist Freed Zensell !

A/N : As of tonight, I'm starting my holidays. And since I won't have my personal computer with me (going to my step family) I have no idea AT ALL if I will make new chapters. It might be a lot if I'm bored, or none at all if I'm busy.

I'll be back the first Monday of next year at the latest.
