Prediction and flaw

Rin woke to find herself in motion, her vision cleared up and she discovered that she was being carried on a female's back through a forest of tall trees.

"Nanny?" Rin recognized the silver-colored hair and called out.

Nanny Folander heard her but didn't reply and kept running, continuously dodging the tall trees densely rooted in the forest.

Rin looked left and right as she kept bumping up and down due to the movement. She could see that although it was late at night, two moons still illuminated the forest a bit.

'Where are we? What about the guards?' Rin questioned in her mind.

Nanny Folander kept running for more than three kilometers with the baggage behind her, nonstop. Rin kept wondering where nanny Folander's strength came from.

Clachh!

Nanny Folander's foot slammed into a log that happened to be on the ground which sent her and Rin tumbling.

"Ekk!" Rin exclaimed in pain as her body rolled across the rough ground, making splinters penetrate her skin as she was still in her night garment.

Nanny Folander quickly picked herself up and ran towards Rin.

"Sorry, are you hurt?" She asked with a worried tone while helping Rin up.

"I'm ok," Rin replied while standing with the help of the nanny.

Nanny Folander saw the bruises on her skin with the splinters lodged in arm area and immediately started pulling them out.

Rin screeched anytime a Splinter was pulled out, and after pulling out everything, there were small blood stains on Rin's nighty.

Nanny Folander held Rin's arms and closed her eyes.

"Restoration," Nanny Folander said with a solemn voice.

After she said that a small glow appeared on Rin's body, closing up her injuries. Rin only felt a soothing rush inside her and before she knew it all the pains were gone, she stared at her body in shock.

Noticing that she had no more injuries on her, it dawned on Rin that nanny Folander had a source.

This was the reason why nanny Folander was able to lift her and run for more than three kilometers without the need to catch her breath. People who awakened a source were always stronger and always lived longer than those without.

Nanny Folander had awakened her source when she was still very young but it turned out that she didn't cultivate her source to make herself stronger.

After healing Rin, Nanny Folander opened her eyes and started walking forward again while holding on to Rin's hand.

Rin pulled her hand from Nanny Folander's grip which startled her.

"Why? Why did you do it, nanny? Why did you betray mama and papa?" Rin said with a dark face.

"This is not the time for this young miss, we have to go," Nanny Folander said while trying to grab onto Rin's hand again. Rin responded by dodging and asking the same question again.

Nanny Folander had no choice but to explain herself to the twelve-year-old but amid the explanation Nanny Folander kept feeling having a bad feeling.

Rin finally understood that it was, the people who the guards referred to as the management that was responsible for the death of her parents and that they also forced Nanny Folander to serve her the Jabali herb which causes a person to sleep for several days. This made Rin wonder why she was able to wake up.

"Oh no!" Nanny Folander exclaimed after noticing something.

Rin stared at her in confusion as she rubbed her forehead continuously.

"We have to go!" Nanny Folander said while pulling Rin's arm and running with speed.

Rin kept wondering what was going on that was making Folander react like this. What Rin didn't know was that, when they stumbled earlier, the button for controlling the carriage fell from her forehead.

The two buttons were to control the carriage with the right and left senses. One of the buttons would be able to control a particular area and the other will not. When one was on a person's head and the other wasn't, the control of the whole carriage will be transferred to the active button.

Nanny Folander and Rin hadn't covered much distance and had only run for about ten minutes when a huge pressure descended upon them from above.

"They've caught up with us!" Nanny Folander exclaimed with fear.

Nanny Folander and Rin felt like they were walking through mud as their movement slowed down.

This was the aura of two sky transformation cultivators, so there was no way that Rin and nanny Folander would be able to withstand it.

"How dare you Folander? I knew you were a traitor," A loud voice resounded from above.

This happened to be the guard with the dark red goatee. The other guard with dragon earrings happened to be beside him flying in the air.

They both were still about thirty meters away from Rin and Folander, yet their voices could be heard clearly. This was one of the perks of being a planetary level being.

Although Nanny Folander had been transversing through the forest for close to two hours, it took the guards, a bit over ten minutes to reach them. This was another perk of being a planetary level being, the ability of flight.

"I'm gonna cut you up limb by limb... and for that little brat that you happen to be protecting, hehehe, I'm gonna feed her remains to the dog," The guard with the dark red goatee spoke once again while landing just a few feet from Rin and Nanny Folander.

"Tarok, y-you e-vil mon-ster, wh-at did th-is li-ttle girl ev-er do to you?" Nanny Folander asked while still struggling to move, albeit at a snail's pace. She couldn't understand where this strong hate was coming from.

"Shut up bitch, you're both dead," The one with earrings spoke. It was obvious that they were both pissed off.

Nanny Folander knowing that she was powerless to go against them, turned to look at Rin, "Restoration!" She shouted while touching Rin.

Immediately Rin felt the pressure disappear, "Run!" Nanny Folander shouted out, feeling that it would be better if she died here instead of the little girl.

Nanny Folander didn't even need to tell her twice, Rin ran with all her might. Shockingly she was able to cover a hundred feet in a few seconds which made the guards squint their eyes in surprise.

While Rin was running they had already arrived in front of nanny Folander, using both their auras to put pressure on her so she couldn't move.

"It's futile, Kiba, go after her," Tarok commanded.

"You insult my abilities, you know I don't need to move a muscle to get that brat," The guard with dragon earrings answered while making some weird hand signs.

"Shadow hands, expansion!" Immediately after he said that a large dark and eerie looking hand manifested from the middle of his chest area, extending towards Rin who was running in front.

Rin felt the hair on her skin stand and turned her neck around only to see a large dark shadowy hand approaching her from the air but what puzzled Rin was, she saw glowing lines extending from the incoming hand to the front of the forest where she hadn't even gotten to. She turned to look forward and saw glowing footsteps, extending from her current position to deep inside the forest area, she noticed that at a particular point in front, the footsteps diverted to the left side, and just like before she felt a glowing connection to these footsteps.

She decided to follow these footsteps exactly and diverted to the left where the diversion was, and just as she did that...

Zwooon!

The shadowy hand passed by her right side.

"Huh? She dodged it," Kiba said with shock.

"So what if she dodges it, she can't keep dodging it right," Tarok said in irritation but to their shock and dismay, Rin kept dodging the shadowy hand.

Whenever Kiba controlled the hand to turn left or right or up or down, she would always dodge it even if it was by a hair length.

By now Rin had run out of sight and even the guards couldn't see her silhouette again due to the dense forest of trees but they could still sense her in the distance.

"How was she able to do that?" Kiba said with a look of suspicion.

Tarok had his eyes knitted in a slit. Suddenly he opened his eyes wide in understanding," That's why she woke up before time, so it turns out Folander didn't betray us at first and truly gave her the sleeping herb but the brat happened to awaken her source in her sleep making all the effects of the herb disappear,"

When a person awakened their source, the constitution of their body changes. There will be an increase in strength and heightened senses.

Nanny Folander eyes opened wide like saucers, 'That means she now has a source,'

"Awakening doesn't mean a thing when she hasn't started cultivating yet. At most, she gets a boost in strength and vitality but it doesn't mean she can escape us," Kiba said drowning Nanny Folander and her thoughts in a bucket of cold water.
