7 7:Powers

"This way", Amy said as she and Aiden led Alex to the train tracks. On the other side of the tracks was a small patch of trees. Aiden went first and Amy followed Alex looked around wondering if this was a good idea.

"Come on you aren't a chicken are you."Amy yelled from the other side Alex sighed as he finally decided. He walked through the trees on the other side he saw another abandoned building. Shipping crates pilled up stood next to the building inside the building it was clean a couple couches were set up.

"welcome to our secret spot." Aiden said as he sat down on the couch he opened the mini to his left pulling out a juice he passed Amy and Alex as they all smiled.

Even though that day was years ago Alex remembered it like it was yesterday. It was only a couple of days after he had met both Aiden and Amy. it still surprised him how easily they both accepted him into the group.

Now the inside was completely different they kept the couches and mini frig but they added a tables and brought posters to hang on the walls. Alex brought a ton of his old comics in case he got bored.

Alex sat there alone waiting for both Amy and Aiden to show up. He waited and waited until finally Amy showed up wearing a hoodie and sweat pants. "Sorry guys after Yesterday my parents would not let me out of their sights I finally got away and got here as soon as I could, where's Aiden." Amy looked around only to see Alex.

"I'm here" Aiden said as he walked in behind her with a book bag on his back " My mom is really worried, she doesn't think the city is safe anymore. I couldn't really say anything to change her mind after yesterday. She wants me to go with her or move in with my dad."

Alex looked at Aiden who had his head down before walking over to his side patting him on the shoulder. "No offense but your dad's a prick, you can crash at my place my mom won't mind."

Now that they were all here Alex knew it was time. "Take a seat" He smiled as both Aiden and Amy sat down. He stood up and raised both his hand bringing the together in a buddha like pose.

"Dude don't tell me you wanna become a Buddhist." Aiden joked and Alex only smiled and lowered his left hand. Alex raised his right hand above his head and slowly positioned his fingers. " Now you're going for the Thanos snap or is it Tony starks." Aiden asked as Amy giggled off to the side.

Alex ignored him this time 'Snap' Electricity spiraled from his index finger die to his elbow. He lowered his palm leaving both friends shocked (pun intended) as white lightning hovered above his palm.

"What ever that explosion was it affected us did you guys see anything when you fell unconscious?"

Aiden looked at Amy before giving her a nod. " I didn't see anything but I could feel it when i woke up." She raised her hand as it started to turn diamond like. "I could feel it like a sweater or a coat only under my skin."

"Cool so your power's like Emma frost." Alex said amazed. "yeah only I don't have the power to invade people's mind." She smiled as she went back to her seat.

"my turn I guess" Aiden stood up with a frown on his face. "You guys might wanna get behind me" He warned as both Alex and Amy moved to stand behind the couch.

Aiden raised his hands and as he did the center of his palms started to glow and as they glowed they shot out two laser like beams of green energy shot straight through the walls leaving two huge burning holes.

"It's just like I thought" Both Aiden and Amy looked at Alex. "This means other people were affected and could have powers. Aiden do you have your laptop inside your bag?" Aiden nodded pulling his book bag off his back pulling out his google pixelbook.

"Find out who owns Rob labs." He and Amy watched as Aiden googled 'parent company of Rob labs' they weren't surprised that they got no answer.

"Hack it." Aiden smiled as he cracked his knuckles, he made quick work of the security and firewalls easily getting the answer. " Downey Industries i'll take it one step further" Aiden continued to type.

"That's not surprising now that i think about it." Alex laughed Robert Downey Jr was the greatest iron man ever of course someone named a company after him. It's just either this company was prone to accidents or they were up to some pretty shady business. Alex looked at the laptop screen once again seeing a name. " No picture but from what i can tell this name seems to be at the center of it all."

'Veronica Silver'

"Aiden you should head home good luck convincing your mother to let you stay. Amy you should probably get home your dad's in law enforcement you should ask him if Downey industries has been up to no good." Both Amy and Aiden nodded.

"I'm gonna go talk to my mom and let her know Aiden's going to be staying with us for a while, But the first thing i'm gonna do is find out if Veronica Silver is actually the boss behind Downey industries." The Trio split going different ways Alex quickly made his way home reaching the front door he reached for his keys. He made to unlock the door but he noticed it was slightly ajar. He slowly pushed the door open looking around.

"Mom" He called out.

"I'm in the kitchen." His mom yelled back as he closed the door and slowly made his way to the kitchen. He stopped as he made it to the doorway, he could hear his mom laughing. He walked through the door seeing his mom sitting at the table with a light brown skinned woman with silver hair that matched his own.

His mom was showing her the pictures of him when he was younger. His mom stood up from her seat as she saw him she reached for his hand pulling him to the table as the other woman only stared. " Alex say hello to your Aunt Veronica Silver" Theresa said with a smile on her face.
