Raydon had already guessed that his family would call him back, and he didn't really have a problem with that. In the end, Raydon's family would prove to be a challenge for him, but at the same time, he would have to rely on his family in order to accomplish some of the things he desired in this world. 

He just didn't need them at the moment and didn't want to waste time with his family.
