2 Godhood

When Long He opened his eyes, he was in a different world, not Long Yu Feng city, nor it was any place he had visited.

The planet's flat land stretches for mile on end of miles. No trees, plants, or anything could be seen popping up from the ground. He tried to see the limits of this world, but could only make a 10 feet radius with him as the center.

"Did I die?" wondered Long He. "Is this the afterlife?"

Ding.

A ring resonated from the empty place, taking a confused Long He off guard. As soon as the ringing faded, it was followed by a strange voice.

[Planet System Activated.]

Long He discovered that the voice was a bit feminine. He looked around to find the owner of the voice, but still, he didn't see anyone around him.

He immediately panicked, but soon, he took a deep breath then calmed down. Long He decided to risk it and ask, "Who said that?"

Ding.

The ringing could be heard again.

[Welcome, host, to your new own planet.]

"My planet?" Long He was still confused, the whole thing was unusual for him. He had a simple life since he was a little child, so it made sense that this is strange.

[Yes, host, your planet. This is another realm where your mind was transported from planet Earth to here through the Heavenly Bead.]

"The Heavenly Bead?" he asked then answered himself quickly, "You mean the one that entered my body when I was drowning?"

[This is the one the system was talking about.]

"Are you sure that this is not a dream?" he asked the system while pinching his hand. Surprisingly, he felt the slight pain, which means that this is no dream.

[Of course not. But since you were on the verge of dying, it felt like you were seeing a dream.]

"Then this means that I am not dead!"

[The host is alive. But him staying underwater for many weeks had weakened his body condition.]

"Can you tell me what's happening on Earth?"

[For now, the system is unable to do so. When the host make himself the god of this new world!]

"Me? A god? Are you joking?" Long He felt waves of shock overwhelming his mind. He, Long He, become a god? This was only a dream for him, which couldn't even come true.

[The system meant no joke by saying those words.]

"Oh...." he stayed silent for some time, still recovering from the confusion. "Tell me, then. What does a god do?"

[Each planet requires life in it, and those can only be created by a god. The god needs to watch over his people, but he is forbidden from interfering with their lives.]

"And you want me, Long He, to be the one who does this?"

[Affirmative, host.]

"Cool!" he exclaimed. He pinched himself again, just to make sure that this was real another time.

"What would happen if someone found out that I possess the bead?" Long He asked.

[The humans could no longer affect the host, since he has become a god, which is a higher level of existence than them.]

He nodded then said after some time of thinking, "System, how could I return to Earth?"

[Right now, the host has to accept the position of a god to strengthen your body.]

"How do I do so?"

[Simple. You only have to say these words:

"I, Long He, accept to be the god of this planet. I swear that I will create life, where good and evil shall live. And I swear that I won't interfere with their business."]

"Can I refuse?"

[You can. If the host wishes to refuse, or is incapable of doing the requirements, the system will return him to planet Earth, where the Heavenly Bead will exit your body and all memories of this will be erased. However once you became a god, there is no going back to the normal human life.]

Long He now was lost between two choice. He truly desired to be a god, and to be more powerful than the humans of planet Earth. Yet he hesitated. What if he wasn't good enough for this? What if he failed the requirements? What if the immortal life didn't suit him?

After a long moment of silence, and after making his decision, he said, "I, Long He, accept to be the god of this planet. I swear that I will create life, where good and evil shall live. And I swear that I won't interfere with their business."

Suddenly, he felt himself born again. His body was the same, but it was light, more easier to control than before. He felt holy.

Immediately, the land around him expanded to 20 feet radius, twice bigger than before.

Ding.

[Congratulations, host. You have now become the god of the planet. Do you wish to return to your home planet now or to remain here and create life?]

"For now, I prefer to return. My mother should be worried," I answered.

[As you wish.]

"How can I get back here?"

[The system is always in the host's head. Just send a mental message to the system and you will be on your planet again. Does the host want to know other things before returning back?]

"Actually, there is a matter that bothers me. When I am back on Earth, will I be still a god?"

[When the number of faith points of the host increases, he will be a god in whatever place he is. However, now, the host will be back as a human.]

"I see. Now please, I want to see my mother."

[As you wish.]

With this, the system sent Long He to Earth, Long Yu Feng city. He opened his eyes, this time in the hospital that he was born in.

His mother was sitting beside him, talking to the nearby doctor. Long He coughed in order to get their attention, and they turned their heads towards him.

The doctor smiled gently, but chose not to say anything. Yi'er took her son in her embrace, tears filling her eyes. But they weren't sad tears, they were of happiness and delight to see her son still alive.
