6 Father Resurrection

"You, my son, a god?"

Hearing his mother's comment, Long He woke up from his trance. He has forgotten that she was beside him, waiting for him to explain everything.

Yi'er has never had any doubt in Long He, and she would be his first one to believe in him. But this was all illogical and irrational. Having a son as god is too unbelievable.

"Yes mom," Long He said,"I am a god, previously a lesser one, or if you want to call it demigod, and now a full god. Before, I was under the rule of Ilah, the father god. Now, however, I am independent, no one rules me. I carve my own fate and the one of my people."

"Are you playing a prank on me, kid? I, your mother, gave birth to you, and you are obviously human. How can you be a god?"

"Calm down mother. Relax, I am not making a prank."

"And Ilah is the father god?"

"Yes, Ilah is the father of all gods, the first god, and the ruler of the universe."

"And you have made an enemy out of the ruler of the universe? You tell me, isn't this a joke now?"

Yi'er still found it hard to believe. Waves of shock and confusion overwhelmed her, and she was trying to break out of this seal.

Long He just sighed and shook his head. How could his mother understand that he had other plans for the future? These plans would boost up his power. But he couldn't tell his mother everything, otherwise, all his plans would crumble to dust, thus becoming useless.

She took a deep breath and said, "Just tell me how it happened."

"Everything began when I drowned last year for weeks…." Long He recounted everything that happened with him: the accident, the bead, the planet, the system, the creation of life and land, the message of Ilah, and his decision.

Long He paused every once in a while to let his mother consume the information. After he has finished, his mother looked like she was at the verge of fainting. It was too much for her mind to bear. After all, she was just a mortal human.

"If you claim that you are a god, can you revive your father?" she asked hopefully. This stuck Long He like thunder. How come he hadn't thought of that before? It was because of his father's death that he had came to this point. Is this how he intended to repay him, by forgetting about the one that brought him to life?

"System, can I revive someone of the dead?" he asked hopefully.

Ding.

[The host could revive someone that had already died. However, if you were a lesser god just like before, you wouldn't be able to do resurrection. But now that you are a full god, you are able to do this mission.]

"I-I can?" I asked suspiciously.

[Yes. But you would only be creating a replica of him, not the same person. He would have the same memories, personality and everything, but his soul would be different from the previous one.]

"Do it, He'er! Do it!" pleaded his mother. Long He nodded and said, "Then take me to the underworld, I need to talk with the judges of death."

[Acknowledged.]

Immediately, Long he disappeared from the hall, leaving a hoping and longing mother behind.

Below every planet, even planet Earth, hovered the realm of the dead. When someone dies, his soul would be taken by an angel and would be transferred here in order to be judged by the judges of the dead. If it isn't the time for the person to die, then they would send him to reincarnate into a new body.

If perhaps someone had accomplished some great merits, then he will be reincarnated into the realm of heaven. However, if he was dishonorable, his fate resides in the land of hell. Long He opened his eyes and discovered that he was in the underworld. Beside him, a servant stood, with his legs trembling, and his eyes were filled of fear.

Long He looked at him and said, "Take me to the first judge of the dead."

"Y-y-yes sir!" said the poor being, leading the way. Long He followed a servant to arrive outside a series of palaces which were stationed around the biggest castle on the top of the hill.

"You will find Lord First Judge there, in the castle." Long He nodded and marched towards it.

He entered a study, quite a simple one, where a middle-aged black robbed man was sitting. Two black feathered wings sprouted from his back. He had dark black hair as well as eyes.

The man was reading a long scroll, where the names of the dead resided. Long He waited for the man to notice him, but it was of no use.

Finally, he said, "Looks like the dead are rising in numbers, aren't they, Thalous?"

The black robed man was Thalous, the god of the underworld, and the first judge of the dead!

Thalous looked at Long He then said, "Forgive me, god He. I was immersed in this list so much that I didn't see you entering."

Long He nodded while Thalous continued, "What brings you here?"

"I wish to resurrect my father!"

The god's eyes narrowed a bit, but he said after thinking, "Alright, I will allow it, but only this time. Your father is in heaven, you'll find him there."

"Thank you." Then, Long He turned and appeared in the realm of Heaven. The honorable souls would come to live here in the afterlife. Long He's father, Shen Hu, was such a soul.

Long He walked through this realm. The souls greeted him with bows and cheers. Some even had a glint of jealousy in their eyes.

He stopped in front of a big palace, his father's. Whispers burst out behind of him: "What has this Shen Hu done to let a god visit him? I hope he has done something bad."

Long He just ignored them and entered the palace. He continued walking until he saw the soul he was searching for.

Once his father saw him, he dropped to one knee and said respectfully,"Greetings, God He. May I know what I have done to bring you personally to my home in heaven?"

Long He hurried to get his father on his feet. Teers of joy dropped out of his eyes. His own father was right in front of him.

"Get up, father," said Long He, "I should be the one to bow to you."

"Fa..father?" said the man in disbelief. "Are... Are you my son?"

"Yes, yes, father!"

"My dear boy!"

The two hugged for a long time then released each other while laughing delightfully.

"I couldn't have imagined even in the sweetest of my dreams that my son would be a god! I am very proud of you, my son!"

"Come father, there is someone who awaits you."

Back on Aquahelios, a body started forming, it was Long He's father's body. When the body was completed, Long He appeared, as did his father.

The two laughed and hugged again, this time in the flesh. The man then noticed the women at the back.

The two marched towards each other with slow steps. When they were so close to each other, Shen Hu said, "I would have done anything just to see that beautiful face in front of me again."

"Hu!" cried the woman.

"Yi'er!" replied the latter while also crying, "I have missed you so much! I visited you in your dreams just to check on you. But now, now you are right here, I cannot describe the joy inside of my heart!"

The husband and wife hugged passionately, refusing to let go of each other. As Long He watched his parents, a gentle smile appeared on his face. Now he was sure that going against Ilah was worth it.

Just being again with his family brought him endless joy.
