5 Chapter 4: "Library"

The light of the morning sun began to rise slowly, slowly, but surely.

Basking in the dim sunlight by his bedroom window. Linc decided not to leave the room right away.

The entire mansion was still pitch black.

If Linc accidentally walked around and ran into other "dwellers" in the mansion, then Linc would scream in annoyance.

At least wait until the sun actually emits a rather bright sparkle.

"It's a very quiet time..."

Linc squinted peacefully.

He kept thinking, how to make Raina call him a father.

But in whatever way Linc tried to simulate it, it would be a very troublesome task.

Raina is a Transfusion.

Transfusions were people who had already been assimilated into the Hore energy, and had very unique bodily features.

Like Raina, even though she had golden hair that could be disguised as blonde, red eyes like the color of a ruby Gem, could instantly reveal her true identity as a transfusion.

More and more "Hore" in their bodies. Then their steam ability will also get stronger.

Not all transfusions have Steam in their bodies. This is like two different human evolutions, that of warriors and magicians.

Transfusion without steam usually has a power far from the average human being in general, and differs greatly from a transfusion that has steam.

For someone who has steam, even if the direction of strengthening does not strengthen the body, they can use steam like a magician.

Raina was clearly a transfusion that had steam in her body.

"Pupils red eyes... zombie? Is she a control type? Then how does her control them?"

Even though a Transfusion was like a fantasy creature in a story, this was still a scientific world. Science underlies everything.

Raina can control zombies. There must be a catalyst that could link him to what he controls.

"wait a minute, I seem to remember something...."

Linc suddenly realized something.

Even though Raina has golden hair. At the ends of her hair, it has a light green color, which is disguised in the pile of golden hair.

At the funeral, Linc only glimpsed Raina's figure because he felt guilty. He didn't expect to suddenly find a flash of inspiration on the spot.

Green, plant.

The transformation of a Transfusion is closely related to the changing parts of his body. Like a transfused who has cat ears, they gain the ability to be sensitive to the sounds of their surroundings.

"Control type, parasitic plant."

This probability was almost 90%, linc was very confident in his deductions.

Linc felt very uncomfortable.

If his guess was right, then he would really be in big trouble.

This mansion was right on top of a hill, and the first rays of the sun would fall on this place from the start. Coupled with the peak sun on a very hot day, this place is very suitable for plant photosynthesis.

Any transfusion that has steam always creates a comfortable environment for their steam.

If Raina really had the power of plant steam, in the form of a parasite, then Linc's history would be over immediately.

Because....

Perhaps, this house was infested with parasites from the start.

Linc: "...."

He really felt like a rabbit that had entered the lion's mouth willingly.

No need to last 30 days. Raina can take he life whenever she wants!

"No, something's wrong. If Raina really wants my life, then she doesn't need to play like last night."

Linc remembered that when he was caught off guard, the person on the other side of the door didn't open the door wide enough to enter, but instead she preferred to close the door again.

If Raina really intended to kill him, then Linc would have died instantly last night.

"I... I don't seem to understand my own daughter."

Linc scratched his head troubledly.

Anyway, now Linc decided to act normal.

Knowing that Raina herself had no intention of killing him. Linc left the room even though it was still dark inside the mansion.

"CLEK!"

Opening his bedroom door and looking down, Linc saw six pairs of bloody footprints stuck to the floor near he bedroom door.

A pair of very wide human feet. It must have belonged to the fat man in the kitchen.

A pair of skinny feet. He seems to be wearing shoes. But the traces of blood that stick there, are very thick. It's also a bit dry.

A pair of soles... Wait... Why are these blood marks like palms? Does this person walk on hands?

Seeing footprints, and palms imprinting on the front door of his room. Linc wiped the sweat dripping off his demon mask.

"Looks like last night was very crowded."

Linc really didn't know whether to laugh or cry.

If Raina really wanted to kill him, let alone the door, knife, hammer and a gun hidden inside his clothes probably wouldn't be able to stop them at all!

Linc sighed once again.

Ignore that for the time being. Linc walked into the kitchen according to his memories, and started cooking again.

"Ah, hello Miss Kitty."

"Meow~"

The old black cat reappeared.

Rubbing her hair which is already a bit dull color. The black cat in Linc's arms purred very comfortably.

"Sorry for today Miss Kitty. You'll have to keep eating porridge for a while. Wait a minute, I'll make some money."

"Nyaa~!"

The black cat meowed a little loudly.

Seeing that Miss Kitty only ate some of the porridge he cooked, and then licked her fur lazily. Linc was completely helpless.

"Miss Kitty, don't be a picky eater."

Ignoring him, and continuing to lick the hair on her body until it's clean. Linc ignored him either, and placed a bowl of warm dandelion porridge on the table.

Waited a few minutes but haven't seen the fat man reappear. Lin shrugged.

"Maybe I was too early."

He left the hot dandelion porridge there alone.

Washing the cooking utensils he uses. Linc walked out of the kitchen with Miss Kitty, and walked around the contents of the mansion.

He's looking for something.

The middle room, the right cubicle, the left cubicle, the living room, the recreation room, the small bedrooms...

Library.

Linc entered this place without any hesitation.

"Meow~!"

Entered the library but was immediately greeted by the stench of blood. Miss Kitty in he arms Linc struggled to leave.

Linc let go.

The library room is a bit chaotic.

The black blood on the floor had dried, and there were some bloodstains scattered on the bookshelves.

He narrowed his eyes sharply. Linc noticed an oddity.

"Too much blood..."

"There are no bodies here at all."

Saw the familiar footprints on the bloody floor. Linc guessed that the blood in the man's shoes came from here.

Linc walked in.

Ignoring the stench in the air and entering the darkness of the library. Linc started looking for the books on the shelves.

"found!"

Linc took the book excitedly.

"[How to be a reliable father.]"

He didn't know why this book was in the library. But it really helps!

Today, Linc would really learn to be a real father!

"CLEK!"

The door slowly opened.
