2 Shi Xing

Bright rays of light shined down onto a small city. As the light attacked the silvery skyscrapers that pierced the clouds, a small house that was a couple miles away from the city of giants, was greatly active.

"Shi Feng! The baby… it's coming! We have… to go, now!" A woman with an overly sized stomach was leaning against a beige sofa. Small amounts of sweat were pouring from her forehead as she painfully stared at a thin man.

"What!? Sh*t! Alright, alright, calm down. Calm down!" The man began to panic at the sight of his beloved wife leaning with pain.

"Shi Feng, you need to calm down!" the woman couldn't help but say with some helplessness. Although she was in pain, her husband seemed to be more panicky then herself.

The man nodded his head before quickly running towards the front door. He swung it open with all of his might before…

*BANG*

"Sh*t! The wall…" The man looked at the wall that now had a small hole. He felt like crying, but tears wouldn't come out.

"What are you doing?! Forget about the wall, go and get the car!" The woman was feeling extremely helpless at her husband's clumsiness, however seeing him in such a state helped to alleviate some of her pain. She felt like laughing, but only a painful smile could be formed on her face.

Shi Feng ignored the wall and pushed the net that was in front of the door. He quickly rushed out, towards the garage, but the sight caused him to panic even more. "I forgot to open the garage! Sh*t! Where the hell are my keys!?" The man patted his pockets and put his hands on them, but couldn't find his keys either.

*ZZZZ*

Suddenly, the garage began to slowly open, and a white car appeared. It was a small van that about five seats in total. It was an old car that had some rust on the sides. Shi Feng looked at the front door and saw his wife leaning on the side with keys in her hand. She was pressing on the hand held garage opener.

Quickly, he rushed towards his wife and helped her down the stairs. "Shi Feng, you need to calm down, hehe. Ah! Alright, help me to the car now!" Shi Feng had a red face as he heard his wife's words. He was too panicked to think straight, however hearing his wife's small laugh helped to calm him down.

Soon they arrived beside the white van. Shi Feng slid open the side door and helped his wife in. All the seats were moved back to allow his wife to have enough leg room.

After settling his wife down, Shi Feng got into the front seat inserted his keys into the keyhole.

*RRRROOMMMM*

The van started up and he reversed the car. He was driving with one hand as he held onto his wife's hand. "It will be alright, we are almost there." Shi Feng used his voice to calm his wife, which seemingly helped to reduce some of the pain she was in.

His driving speed was extremely quick, not caring about the speed limit that was set up.

*WEE OH WEE OH*

Suddenly, the sound of police sirens came from the back. "Dammit! Those stupid cops need to come at the worst timings. Forget it, we are almost there, I will take a ticket or whatever!"

Seeing that the hospital was extremely close, Shi Feng didn't stop his car and kept going. The sirens were loud, which made his wife also somewhat more panicky.

"Jiang Wen, ignore those damned cops. I will handle them later, just concentrate on yourself!" Shi Feng said to his wife gently. Jiang Wen nodded her head, but there was still a bit of worry on her brows.

Soon they arrived at the hospital, with the police right behind them. Shi Feng got out of the car immediately and ran to the side. His slid open the door and helped his wife out.

The police car also stopped right behind them, with the cops rushing out as well. "Put your hands up!" This was the first thing they said when coming out of the car. They didn't see Jiang Wen come out yet, so they assumed that Shi Feng was a speeder.

"Sir's, please! My wife is pregnant and I need to get her inside right away!" Shi Feng said with annoyance and panic. Jiang Wen finally walked out of the car with her stomach showing first. She also had sweat pouring down her beautiful face as she looked worriedly at Shi Feng. The latter noticed this and gently stroked his wife's head.

"Ignore them, I will handle them. Let me help you inside." Shi Feng grabbed his wife's arms as he slowly walked towards the entrance.

The cops noticed the scene and decided to follow Shi Feng in. Although Shi Feng did speed and didn't stop for them, they knew that a pregnancy took priority over anything right now.

One of the female cops walked up to Jiang Wen's side and smiled towards her gently. "Here, let me help you." Jiang Wen nodded her head with a painful smile. Shi Feng also nodded his head, as they made their way towards the hospitals front desk. One of the police officers walked over and began to speak to the nurse. After a few seconds, the nurse came around with a wheelchair.

"Miss, why don't you sit down here. We will take you into a room." Jiang Wen nodded her head as she sat down in the wheelchair. The nurse then led her away. Shi Feng patted his chest with relief before turning around. He then saw the female cop walk towards him.

"So, I understand that your wife was in pain and that you needed to get to the hospital, but that doesn't mean that you should speed and endanger others, now is it?" The female cop said with a small smile.

Shi Feng scratched his head and laughed bitterly. "I am sorry, I was just a little panicky. This is my first time experiencing this." He looked a little pitiful, which caused the female cop to shake her head.

She took a small notepad and began to write some things. She then handed the ticket to Shi Feng who shook his head and looked at the fine. 'W70,000'. This was cheaper than the normal fine, however, he was grateful it was that cheap.

He slightly bowed before walking over to the front desk. A nurse looked at him with a smile. "Now then, help me fill out the information. Name."

"Shi Feng." He said.

"Of the wife." The nurse said with a smile.

Shi Feng's face burned up slightly as he coughed lightly. "Jiang Wen"

The nurse continued to ask questions and then looked towards Shi Feng. "So, the price for this delivery will be about… W500,000" Shi Feng nodded when he heard this. He had been collecting money for a while now for this very day.

He pulled out his bank card and paid for it on spot. The fee was paid, he felt as if a heavy rock was lifted off his shoulder. "Can you lead me to where my wife is?" He asked the nurse. The latter nodded her head and led him to a room where a few nurses were present.

"Doctor, everything seems fine and I think we can begin the delivery when you are ready. A nurse looked towards the male doctor. The latter nodded his head and when he turned around, he noticed Shi Feng walking in.

"You must be the husband?" The doctor walked forward and lifted his hand.

"Shi Feng." He shook the doctor's hand before walking towards his wife. "How are you doing?" He asked with some worry.

Jiang Wen lifted her pale hand and rubbed Shi Feng's face. "I am fine. What about you?" She asked with a giggle. Shi Feng took her hand and kissed gently before smiling towards her.

"I am doing great." Jiang Wen blushed a little when Shi Feng acted like that in public.

The Doctor smiled before walking forwards with gloves. "Let us begin then." Jiang Wen and Shi Feng nodded their heads as both of them got ready.

Soon, the baby was delivered. Jiang Wen was holding the little girl in her arms as a deep smile was plastered over her face. Shi Feng was also smiling happily. He was on his knees, leaning on the bed as he also stared at the baby girl.

"Have you thought of what to call her?" Shi Feng asked with a smile. Jiang Wen nodded her head as her eyes lovingly looked at the sleeping baby.

"Let's call her Xing. Shi Xing." She spoke gently as her eyes looked at Shi Feng. The latter smiled and nodded his head. He was willing to go with what his wife wanted.

"Alright then, Shi Xing it is. Let me go and get all of the paperwork figured out.

Shi Feng then got up and exited the room. Jiang Wen watched her husband leave and then smiled back to her child. "My little girl. You will grow up to be a great beauty, just like me. Hopefully, you won't have the same panicky personality like your father. You should be strong, just like mother."

Shi Xing continued to sleep, not knowing what was going on. She looked very peaceful on the outside, however inside the babies head was anything but. "Father! Brother! Don't go! Don't leave me alone!" Soon, the baby began to cry as well.

"UWAH! UWAH!" Jiang Wen smiled and brought her child closer to herself.

"It's ok, it's ok. Mommy and daddy are here." Shi Xing stopped crying as everything began to quiet down.

Inside the baby's mind, things also began to slowly settle down. "My little Nixie, live a good life. Don't remember anything that is from the past." A man's voice came about, it was none other than Duxor's. His gentle voice reverberated in the baby's head before a locking sound resounded throughout the room.

Jiang Wen looked up and saw Shi Feng carrying a sheet of paper. "Here it is! The birth certificate." Shi Feng handed the laminated piece of paper to Jiang Wen, who looked at the words printed on them.

When she saw the name and year, she couldn't help but smile brightly. 'Shi Xing, 2018' Shi Feng also smiled and leaned against the bed as he watched the Shi Xing silently lay in her mother's embrace.
