Athena The Goddess of War and Wisdom

I was crying and hiding in my bedroom closet when my mom opened the closet and took me. "Shhh! Don't cry please." She begged me and I tried but failed.

After running and running, mom tripped and I fell. "Go, Athena! Go! Run! Save yourself!" My mom said while trying to stand up. When I was about to help her, she stopped me. "Go! Now!" She said in a tone filled with worries and regrets.

I started running away from everyone and just ran around until 3 hours later, my uncle and aunt found me. "Athena, it's gonna be alright. Shhh, honey, don't cry!" Said my aunt.

I ran to her and hugged her. "Where's m-m-mom?" I managed to stutter while crying.

She looked at me in the eyes and just by looking at those brown hazel eyes, I knew the answer, she's dead. Her eyes was filled with pain and sorrow that it was obvious that my parents died. "She... died." My uncle said with a sound of guilt in his tone.

I just cried that day. "Don't worry! We're your legal guardians now. We'll raise you like how we raise our son." She said with a joyful tone but her eyes says otherwise.

"It's okay. At least I'm with you." I said while hugging my aunt again.

The car ride was silent but not the comfortable kind of silent. When we reached they're house. I just looked around at my new house. I stayed with them for 10 years and I appreciated them like how I appreciate my real parents. They treated me as a goddess (because I really am) and like their daughter.

Until one day, they found their long lost son knocking on their door. When he entered, he smiled at me. "You must be my little sister! I'm Kyle!" He introduced and ran to me.

I waved at him. "How old are you?" He asked me.

"I'm 10 years old!" I say cheerfully and looked at my aunt and uncle. "I'm your cousin!" I stated.

He looked shocked. "So am I! From now on, we're gonna be siblings!" He exclaimed.

We spent the days together and doing normal sibling stuff until one day, when we both turned 16. They told us how, I was a goddess and Kyle was a demigod. Kyle was furious! It was my first time seeing him that furious. "Kyle, stop! They only told us now because of the rules!" I said trying to explain to him.

"We are stronger! We can run the world! And yet here you are defending mortals!" He said the word mortals as if it was a virus.

"They're my guardians! They're your parents! They raised you! And yet here you are trying to kill them for not telling you any sooner!" I said trying to put some sense into him.

He didn't listen and he focused on summoning the dead. "Kyle! No! Stop!" I said while focusing on having a sword.

We fought for our sides and it was unfair for him to bring the undead in here and hurt our parents. When we finished fighting, he was beat. He's body was full of stab wounds and bruises and he's nose was bleeding. Oh, how I hate to see him like that! Especially since I'm the one who caused it. "See you again, sister. Goodbye for now." He said and suddenly disappeared.

When he was gone, I immediately ran up to my guardians and used their car to drive to my real parents' owned hospital. They were confined for 3 months and 8 days.

A year has passed and I'm already 17 and second year in high school yet that memory was so fresh in my mind.

While in a vacation with Yanna and Audrey, I suddenly heard a guy said something about Kyle. "Yo, Kyle! My man! How've you been?" He asked.

The moment I heard the name Kyle I fell down. They both ran towards me and started asking me questions like : 'Hey, what's wrong?' or like 'What happened?'

"K-K-Kyle m-my cousin." I stuttered.

After a while they suddenly dragged the guy named Kyle towards me. "Why is he here?" I asked with a confused look.

"You said it was about Kyle!" Whined Yanna.

I sighed. "No, not that Kyle. My cousin, Kyle. Just the mention of the name makes me sad." I explained so they let Kyle go.

When they let him go they asked me a bunch of questions again. "Who's Kyle? What's your relationship with him?" They asked with an excited look.

"Kyle was... my cousin." I said and started explaining and telling everything to them.

The next morning, I woke up early so I cook us some breakfast and watched TV. Not long after, they finally woke up. "Morning." I said and continued watching my favorite show. After eating, I entered the kitchen once again and started doing the dishes.

It was already sunny outside but I forced Yanna and Audrey to come with me and walk at the beach since we won't always be on vacation. While walking, we saw the 'Kyle' guy again. I told them to apologize to 'Kyle' while I sit here and watch. The funny thing was, they actually did say sorry. I walked towards them and said my own apology. "We're sorry for bothering you yesterday." I said and walked towards the sea again.

Night time, I wanted to go night swimming so I put on my swim suit and towel. While walking, I saw Kyle again. This is getting pretty creepy if you ask me. "Hey! Where are you going?" I asked. Oh god. Nope. I did not just greet him. But I did! "Sorry. I won't talk to you if you don't want to." I said and walked towards the water.

"I'm actually going to swim. Wanna join me?" He asked and I laughed. "That came out wrong. I mean, would you like to swim with me." He asked

I nodded and followed him. After talking for a while, I found out he was actually funny and fun to be with. He can be a good friend except for the fact that well... he's not like me.

Weeks after weeks, school finally started. I entered the school and what's shocking is there will be a ball on August 18! The elections for the school royals are at the same day! Oh, how I wish, I don't get nominated.

When I entered the school, I saw Kyle talking with the guy he was with during our vacation. "On the elections who will you nominate?" Asked a girl while whispering.

The girl next to her replied. "Athena, duh. She's one of the ELITE 5, she's the first elite."

I actually laughed, I am so not responsible. I'm lazy. I mean, I may be one of the ELITE 5 but I'm not a hard worker. I am the goddess of wisdom so you should listen to me when I say you shouldn't nominate me. As I was walking with Yanna, Audrey and Jewels, I heard Kyle ask Ryan. "Ryan, why are Athena, Yanna and Audrey famous in this school?"

I laughed, again. "Are you serious, bro? Seriously? Oh my god! I mean your a new transfer student so I should just tell you. Don't annoy the ELITE 5 or they will crush you." What the hell? No, I won't! I mean, I could but I don't want to.

I walked over to Ryan. "Hello! I heard you say that I will crush someone so do you want to find out if it's true?" I said with enthusiasm and ended with a cold stare. He froze and looked down.
