1 Elon Musk-san has betrayed us

"Here, look at me in this picture real quick. No, to the left. One more person over. Behind him. Yep, that's me. Even if you can only see one ear and the top of my head, that is undeniably me. Hmm? What are you laughing about?"

Situated in a cozy little living room was a young man and a young woman, rifling through a college photo album. The room was small, but it was comfortably furnished with a warm fire crackling to the side.

"Hahaha," the woman tittered, hearing the man's words. "I'm laughing 'cus you're so silly! How could anyone recognize you from such a picture?"

She cast her warm glance onto the man she had declared her love for and married several years prior. The woman herself was a class-A type beauty; with bright golden eyes, long bubble gum pink hair, red lips, and runway model legs. While her body wasn't insane, it was none-the-less curvy and attractive.

Most people were shocked when they found out this man was able to catch a wonderful woman like this. Unlike her, he was the very definition of 'ordinary.' While he was half a head taller than her, he was quite skinny, and had very bland features. Short black hair, black pupils, and an extremely bored looking face. One could almost even see the word 'ordinary' engraved on his forehead. Well, actually if the word 'ordinary' was engraved on his head, he might actually be worth something.

For whatever reason, this woman had fallen for this man at first sight. It was so bad, that she had several falling outs with her friends and even her father. Her friends disdained him, and her father felt he was akin to a beaten dog picked off the side of the road.

At that time, her husband was attending Penn State University without a scholarship, in chase of his dreams. He was working full time while attending the Genetic Engineering department while she was a small undergrad trying to get a degree in English. After meeting him, she had chosen to drop out and use all the money her father had left her to help support him. She had paid off his debts, helped pay his tuitions, and even let him move in with her.

Her father got so angry, she was afraid he would kill her- but in the end, he left defeated and hadn't talked to her since.

"What are you thinking about?" the man asked concernedly as he noticed her spacing out.

Blinking, she shook her head. "Ah, nothing. Just the past I guess."

Looking at her, smiled oddly. "Your father right?" Closing the book with a snap, he stood up. "Don't worry about him, my dear Alice. Heheh, just wait. Once I've become successful and have made a big name for myself, he'll come running to you!"

Exhaling heavily, she snorted and cracked a smile. Slapping his shoulder she said, "well then you big oaf, hurry up and make something of yourself then. I've supported you for as long as I can, but my money won't last forever y'know."

"Hmph," he puffed up his chest proudly. "Just wait. You're supporting me? Hah! When I'm through with you, you'll have your own castle and twenty one Teslas. They might even name a spaceship after you and shoot it into space!"

She smiled brightly as she hugged his arm. "I don't need all that really. More money would always be nice, but I'd rather see you not being so mopey." Kissing his cheek, she pushed him away. "No coming out of that office until you've made something of yourself, you hear?"

Snapping to attention, he saluted her, before marching towards the basement. With a slam, the door closed behind him. Alice smiled absentmindedly for several seconds before she sat back down and continued going through his old photos.

----------------------------------------------------

Several hours had passed since her husband locked himself away. Getting up, she stretched and set the album down. Thinking about it, she decided to brew him a pot of coffee. As she made her way towards the kitchen, she suddenly heard muffled shouting.

Turning around, she walked towards his 'lair.'

One step at a time…

"…"

"….."

"mumble mumble mumble"

"F$#((@&^(%&"

"I am ENRAGED!"

"I am SHOCKED!"

"I am DISMAYED!"

At this moment, she was right outside his door, with her ear to it; listening.

"Elon Musk-san… I am so, so very disappointed in you… How could you… "

"You were the chosen one!" *sobs*

"You were supposed to be the messiah!" *Breaks down crying*

Pushing open the door, Alice rushed in and exclaimed "Keith, what are you losing your mind over this time?!"

Keith was currently wearing a lab coat, whilst kneeling on the floor looking defeated. "You don't understand! I've been betrayed!"

Wiping his eyes, he stood up. "Elon Musk was supposed to be the forerunner to all my hopes and dreams! WW-Without him, how the hell… *sobs*"

Running over to grab his shoulders, Alice asked, "Ah, what did he do honey?"

Looking at her, Keith said, "no, it's what he didn't do. You know I've always dreamt about the day real cat-girls would come into existence! But noooo, turns out Elon's plan to genetically engineer catgirls was all a hoax!"

Alice looked at him in surprise. "You… didn't know that? I knew you had a catgirl fetish, but I didn't know you had bet your dreams on real ones…"

Keith shook his head and sighed. "I've been submitting applications and trying to contact Elon, but his secretary just called to tell me that there is no "cat-girl" department and that I need to "stop using different numbers to call" otherwise they will "have their lawyers contact me personally."

Alice rolled her eyes as she smiled. "Why don't you start your own project then? Regardless of what you might think, you do have a degree in genetic engineering. Your skills should be there."

Keith's eyes shone as he slammed his fist onto his desk. "That's it! Fine then. If he won't do it, then I will!"

He suddenly did a spin and collapsed into his chair. He sighed dramatically as he spoke, "Ahhh, but I'm in a bit of a funk. What I need is inspiration..."

It was Alice's time for her eyes to shine. "Well, if it's just inspiration you need..."

"Yes???" Keith said as she paused.

"Hmm, you remember our wedding night? We did 'THAT'?" She said suggestively.

Keith nodded quickly. "Yes, I like where this is going. Continue."

Putting her lips beside his ear she said, "well, I haven't done it since then... but since you need inspiration..." Pulling back quickly, she giggled before running out of the room. She shouted from the hall, "Get what you need! I'll be wait in the bedroom!"

Keith jumped up excitedly. "Yes! This is just what I need! Revitalization!"

He began rummaging through his desk drawers until he found what he was looking for. With a smile, he grabbed the objects and ran after his wife.
