1 Men amongst gods

"Humans must believe in the gods for life,protection, miracles and the like.... What must the gods believe in humans for...." This statement rang in Zeke's head as his back hit the pavement. "Get up bitch!" screamed Sarah . She was standing over Zeke with her sword and shield in hand. The owl carved into the black metal of her shield glared at him and the gold trim reminded him that his rent was due tomorrow. He needed to win this duel or else he'd be evicted but looking up at his opponent didn't give him much hope. He had challenged Sarah Warsin, the heiress to the house of Warson and the great-granddaughter of Athena the goddess of war and battle strategy. And in this moment Sarah looked exactly like her great-grandma. "Usually the females of Athenas family are stronger than the men right?" Asked Zeke as he struggled to get up. "Yes indeed our women are mighty." She responded, following that she slammed her shield into his head and he for a few seconds all he saw was black and bright flashing colors . He coughed up some blood and struggled to his knees falling a few times on the way. Looking down at her feet he spat out blood and smiled. Thinking how he may actually die fighting to pay rent. " What could you possibly have to smile about from the ground , please enlighten me." She said as she held her hand open and summoned a spear from her mystic armory . He looked up at her as she walked towards him,thinking in his head that she is indeed mighty. She was well muscular and toned and yet still incredibly graceful ,warm undertones from her brown skin seemed to shine as if she had golden bones inside her body . Her grey eyes flared at him and the platinum hair sticking out from under her helmet made her look like one of the warlords of old. He knew he wasn't going to win, so he figured he'd at least lose in style. " I'm smiling because I'm lucky enough to not die challenging a Warson female, because I'm fighting the only Warson female who hits like a man. Hahaha" He looked up at her and instead saw only a flash of light. A loud sound like the cracking of a whip made of lighting followed, and then his eyes closed. "Wake up sleepy head!" Zeke's eyes opened to a hospital interior.
