10 Chapter 10: Creation of A New Suit

For those who are wondering why I have not update regularly because I just finish my assignment and tomorrow I have a presentation.

So, don't expect the chapter to be update. Okay, but have fun

A beep emanates from the computer, drawing Cisco's attention. He glances at the screen, his expression turning serious as he opens up the details of a toxic gas attack at the city mall. Barry, seated nearby, springs into action upon hearing Cisco's announcement.

"Barry, there's been a toxic gas attack at the city mall," Cisco informs him.

Without hesitation, Barry dons his suit and grabs the power dampening cuff, prepared to intervene. With Central City's layout ingrained in his memory, he wastes no time navigating the streets.

En route, Cisco relays more information: "The attack occurred in the north wing."

"Got it," Barry acknowledges, his focus unwavering.

Upon arriving at the mall, Barry discovers a deceased woman in the elevator. He feels no remorse for her, knowing her involvement with the perpetrators.

His priority is to prevent further chaos, aware of the potential devastation if the attackers harness their abilities.

"The assailant must be nearby," Barry deduces, scanning his surroundings.

Spotting a trail of green gas, he follows it, leading him to a corner where the gas coalesces into human form.

Seizing the opportunity, Barry swiftly delivers a powerful right hook, incapacitating the individual. With precision, he restrains the assailant with the dampening cuff before swiftly retreating to Star Labs.

"This is the guy, he can turn into poisonous gas," Barry explains, pointing to the subdued assailant.

"But how were you able to defeat him so easily?" Cisco wonders.

"I caught him off guard and knocked him out. It was simple," Barry replies with a grin. "The CCTV footage should confirm his involvement. I'll make sure he ends up in Iron Heights."

Dr. Wells watches Barry with admiration, eager to witness his continued growth and speed.

Barry heads straight to Iron Heights, where guards react with caution upon his arrival.

"It's the vigilante, The Flash," one guard murmurs.

Barry addresses them calmly, handing over the captured criminal. "Here's another one for you. He's a meta-human who just killed a woman. He can transform into poison gas, so be cautious."

With the man delivered, Barry returns to Star Labs and changes back into his regular clothes.

"All done, piece of cake," Barry says with satisfaction.

Dr. Wells contemplates motivating Barry further but realizes Barry is already driven. He's impressed by Barry's dedication to self-improvement.

"Also, Cisco, I think it's time for a new suit. This one's a bit too snug. Let's brainstorm some ideas tonight," Barry suggests.

"Deal. Meet here at 10, and we'll brainstorm together," Cisco agrees.

"Sounds good, my man," Barry replies, exchanging a brotherly handshake with Cisco. "But first, I've got a Taekwondo class to attend. Catch you later."

In a flash, Barry disappears from Star Labs, ready for his next endeavor.

"Taekwondo? This guy really is trying to maximize every advantage," Cisco remarks with a smile. "I guess the lightning did choose him."

In today's Taekwondo class, Barry focuses on mastering high kicks and roundhouse kicks. He specifically requested to concentrate on kicks when registering for the class, and the instructor obliges.

After the class, Barry still has a few hours before the planned meeting at 10. He decides to make the most of his time by heading to the library. There, out of CCTV sight, he immerses himself in language books, determined to learn as many languages as possible.

He also dives into technology books, absorbing every bit of knowledge to ensure it sticks in his mind permanently.

As the clock strikes 8 PM, signaling the library's closing time, Barry finds himself pondering his next move.

"What should I do now?" he mutters to himself, contemplating his options.

"I should be able to use my new building once everything's finalized, but that's at least a week away. I guess I'll continue training," he decides.

Barry swiftly returns home and dedicates 30 minutes to calisthenics and another 30 minutes to shadow fighting, determined to hone his skills further.

As the clock approaches 10, Barry quickly takes a bath and heads back to Star Labs. In the gadget room, Cisco is already waiting, engrossed in designing a 3D model of a suit.

"You've already started?" Barry exclaims as he settles into a seat beside Cisco.

"Sorry, I couldn't resist," Cisco admits, turning to face Barry before returning his focus to the monitor. "So, where should we begin?"

"I want the suit to incorporate something like nitrous, to give me an extra speed boost," Barry suggests.

"How fast are we talking here, Barry?" Cisco asks with a grin.

"Faster," Barry responds.

"Well, I'll brainstorm some ideas to create something similar," Cisco says thoughtfully. "What about the design?"

"Wait, let me sketch something out," Barry suggests, grabbing an empty book and a pen.

"Since when can you draw?" Cisco asks, surprised.

"I've always been interested, but never really pursued it," Barry admits.

After a few moments, Barry presents his rough sketch of the suit design.

"Wow, impressive!" Cisco remarks, examining the drawing.

"Now we just need to source the materials and start building," Barry suggests.

"We can use my speed to expedite the process. We could finish it in minutes," Barry proposes.

"Great idea. Let's get started," Cisco agrees, getting up from his seat.

"What materials do you think would be best?" Cisco asks, grabbing a marker and whiteboard.

"A combination of carbon fiber and Kevlar would offer durability and protection," Barry suggests. "Even though I'm fast, having some defense in case of emergencies is essential."

"What about friction?" Cisco raises a valid concern.

"We can combine it with ceramic or a specific polymer to address that. But don't worry too much about friction. My speed generates a protective aura around me, preventing my clothes from burning apart," Barry explains.

"Good point. Let's start with those materials," Cisco says, jotting down the list: carbon fiber + Kevlar + ceramic/polymer. Below it, he underlines the combination for emphasis.

"Now, what about the tech? Ear comms and a health monitor are a must," Cisco suggests, jotting down the essentials. "Do you have any ideas?"

"How about a defibrillator?" Barry proposes.

"Great idea! But what about fuel for the boost?" Cisco inquires.

"Hydrogen fuel," Barry suggests, though his mind briefly wanders. 'Hmm, there might be a system capable of propelling objects at Mach 570 or faster. I'm not entirely sure, but let's keep it quiet for now.'

"You're insane, Barry! Isn't using that dangerous for you?" Cisco expresses concern.

"Nah, I'm resilient. I'm sure I can handle it. Don't worry," Barry reassures him.

"Even if we manage to create a system to use hydrogen fuel, where can we get it?" Cisco questions.

"I know someone who can help with that. So, don't worry about it," Barry assures him.

"Okay, I think we're good to start creating the suit then. I can't wait. But first, let's focus on developing the new system for the boost," Cisco decides.

"The Pegasus system?" Barry suggests.

"Excellent choice! Drawing inspiration from Greek mythology and rocketry. Let's get started," Cisco agrees.

With their plan in motion, they begin crafting the suit. While they have the materials on hand, creating the Pegasus system from scratch proves to be more challenging.

"Is this even feasible?" Barry wonders aloud.

"It's possible. This might take some time, but let's prioritize finishing the suit first, then we can tackle the rest," Cisco suggests.

"Yeah, let's do that," Barry agrees.

Working diligently, they spend four hours constructing the suit, with Barry utilizing his speed to expedite the process.

Both exhausted, they take a seat, reflecting on their progress.

"We should call it a night and test this out tomorrow," Cisco suggests.

"Yeah," Barry agrees. "Need a ride home?"

"Sure," Cisco accepts.

Barry transports Cisco to his home before heading back to his own, eager to finally rest after a long day of innovation and creation.

Two hours have passed, and Barry's alarm clock rings, jolting him awake.

'Motherfucker'

Barry opens his eyes and groans, "Can I at least have another hour? Guess I can blame this on boxing training."

After quickly freshening up, Barry heads to the gym for his training session. Standing outside the gym, he ponders, "Sometimes I wonder why I'm pursuing boxing. But I've already made up my mind. Let's just get on with it," Barry mutters to himself, steeling his resolve before entering the gym.
