43 43. Wrong Things At The Wrong Time

Hunter put down the phone and tiredly rubbed his face, the worry for his family's safety haunting him. He didn't know how relative the time on Earth was to his time spent on Revroth. But from the previous accidents, he remembered spending a month in Revroth, and against that, only twelve hours had passed on Earth.

'If it's just one day, I reckon I can handle it. But if I gotta spend months there…' Hunter worried about the worst-case scenario and felt the urgency to do something about it.

Racking his mind, he postponed researching landfill sites and walked to his brother's room. Unapologetically, he opened the door and saw Marcus doing his morning indoor workout—pushups, pullups, and a few dumbbell sets.

"Follow me to the basement," Hunter ordered just once and walked away, heading downstairs.
