1 Chapter 1

On a land filled with countless corpses from both humans and beasts, two men seemingly in their twenties were staring at one another, one having a disbelieving and enraged expression, while the other had a calm expression on his face.

"Shen Tian, your evil reign has come to an end. With this, all of those families that you had slaughtered can finally rest in peace." (???)

"Chu Feng! You bastard! People like you, with their justice bullshit are the reason this happened! You know of my past!" (Shen Tian)

"Shen Tian, your past does not excuse your boundless slaughtering of the innocents and their families all of these years. For the past 3000 and over years, you have slaughtered millions of people and their families." (Chu Feng)

"Bah! Most of, if not all, of those times I murdered them all were due to their own greed! They lusted after my wife, and they fell to their greed after my treasures! In the end, not only was my wife raped by those bastards, they even had the balls to try and rob me after she committed suicide! They deserved everything!" (Shen Tian)

"Still, that does not warrant the slaughter of those peoples family. In the end, how many innocent kids and their families did you kill due to their parents mistakes?" (Chu Feng)

"Hah! Why would I leave those bastards to grow up to be like their parents, and then come after me for revenge after they got stronger! No! You know what this world is like! One must remove the threat at the root!" (Shen Tian)

Chu Feng finally had a change in his expression, his calm turning into one of anger. Seeing this, Shen Tian just sneered. Chu Feng and Shen Tian had been enemies for nearly 2000 years now, and in the end he actually lost to Chu Feng in the end!

Shen Tian is already at the Wandering Immortal Realm, which is the highest known cultivation Realm. As for Chu Feng, he is merely at the Chained Immortal Realm! With his cultivation at Chained Immortal Realm, he managed to defeat the Wandering Immortal Shen Tian!

"I still don't know how you managed to beat me with your cultivation at Chained Immortal, but it matters not! You might of killed me here, but there will be countless people like me in the future! I would love to see how you manage to defeat them all then! Hahaha, not to mention I will be reborn sometime eventually! Even a million years aren't too late for me to live once again!" (Shen Tian)

Chu Feng just frowns and doesn't say anything, because it is true. The reason so many people chased after Shen Tian was due to a extremely rare treasure he obtained that allows one to be reborn with 100% certainty.

Although the time it takes isn't known, who would't want to be reborn again after they die! Like Shen Tian said, a million years isn't too late for him to live once again! Sadly for everyone else, Shen Tian knows that the treasure had bound to his soul, making it impossible for others use.

Finally, Shen Tian couldn't withstand it any further and eventually slumped onto the ground, leaving behind Chu Feng to be the winner in their long, long battle over the countless years, as he turned to leave with a sigh.

"Urgh..." (???)

A bloodied young man within a forest groaned as his eyelids twitched, signifying he was awakening. This would of been normal if not for the massive hole in the left chest of his body, with his heart no longer within his body.

"Where am I? Didn't I die against Chu Feng..." (???)

The young man, who is Shen Tian, mumbled as he looked around with a confused look on his face. He tried to move his body, but groaned in pain when he did so, making him look down and get a closer look at his body.

"What! How in the world am I alive without my heart! Also, my dantian has been crippled?! This... This isn't my body!" (Shen Tian)

Shen Tian screamed at the situation he found himself in, and he was even more shocked at how he is even alive at the moment, with his heart missing from his chest like it currently is. He was panicked until a voice was heard within his mind.

[Please do not panic, Shen Tian.]

"Who! Come out!" (Shen Tian)

[Shen Tian, stop looking. I am within your head.]

"What! What do you mean you are inside my head?!" (Shen Tian)

He kept looking around him, and he realized that there really is nobody around him in this forest, and he can also realize that the voice is actually within his head, making him confused. As a Wandering Immortal in his past, he was naturally capable of telling the voice wasn't lying.

[Shen Tian, I am known as the Overseer God, the God who reigns over all of the other Gods out there. I am also the reason why you are still alive right now.]

Shen Tian breathed out to calm himself down, which worked. He began thinking about what the voice said to him, about it being the Overseer God, one who reigns over all other Gods. Normally, he wouldn't believe this, but with him coming to life again like this made him.

"Why did you bring me back to life then? I know for sure I am not a good person." (Shen Tian)

[I brought you back to life due to chance. Out of trillions of people, you were the one who was chosen. You could say it was all due to your luck that you came back to life.]

"Is that so... Why bring me to this body then? Not only does it have it's heart remove, even it's dantian has been crippled. I am a waste now and I shouldn't even be alive right now." (Shen Tian)

[Shen Tian, you are wrong. The body you are in now isn't a human one, but rather it is a homunculus, a being neither human nor demon. It is a body without a heart, a body without organs. It is basically an puppet, if you may. The only reason you have a hole in your chest is due to me bringing this body over from a different universe for you to inhabit.]

"What do you mean a different universe?" (Shen Tian)

[There exists hundreds if not thousands of different universes out there. Some are like your world, with cultivators everywhere. Some are worlds where people can use magic, a strength different from cultivators. Then there are worlds out there where people can use neither, just being normal mortal humans.]

Shen Tian was shocked by everything he heard. Not only is he this so-called homunculus now, there are also thousands of different universes out there, making him shocked by the idea. He then realized that his so-called peak of the world was merely false.

[I will be acting as a System for you. A System is basically a screen that will appear in front of you, allowing you to see multiple things about yourself, including your progress in cultivation and so on. You may also obtain something called Points each time you kill a human, demon or beast, which you can exchange for goods from the Shop, something combined with the System.]

"I see. So I basically have a second chance at life, and now that I know there are many other universes out there, I might go further than I did in my past. You said I can see this screen that displays multiple things about me, right? How do I use it." (Shen Tian)

"What a weird thing. I have a few questions. Why is my gender set as male/female, my age set as both 1 and 3781, and what is this Spirit Root and Powers thing?" (Shen Tian)

[Due to your race being Homunculus, you can freely switch between being a male or a female whenever you wish. As for age, the current body you are within is merely 1 years old, and 3781 is your old age, adding one from your current body. Spirit Root is basically how fast you will be able to cultivate, with God Growth Root being the highest grade. The Powers are your usable powers, and for you yours are Time and Space, allowing you to manipulate Time and Space as you wish. Naturally you need to practice both of them.]

"I can freely switch my gender? How odd. Also, I can manipulate Time and Space, you say? When I was a Wandering Immortal, I couldn't even sense Space, yet now I can manipulate it..." (Shen Tian)

Shen Tian can only sigh at the wonders this so-called System has granted him. Not only has he been given a new life, he also got many new powers that would allow him to be stronger than when he was in his peak in the past.

"Right, am I still in my original world?" (Shen Tian)

[Unfortunately, you are not. Even I am not capable of bringing you back to life on your original world, as that goes directly against Fate, which would kill me. Fret not though, this world is similar to your original world, as it is also full of cultivators, much stronger than your old world at that.]

Shen Tian could only sigh as he heard he wasn't in his original world, but he was quite shocked when he heard that this worlds cultivators are much stronger than those of his original world, making him wonder just how strong they are compared to the old ones.

[As a perk, I will be raising your cultivation to the very beginning, allowing you to not need to waste time to absorb your first stand of energy, which will take a long time.]

Before Shen Tian could even react, he felt a force bind his body and then shortly after that some energy similar to the Essence back in his old world began entering his body at a rapid pace, causing him unbearable pain. Not being able to resist the pain, Shen Tian quickly fainted away while the energy continued to go into his body.
