Chapter 199: The Sick Truth Of The World Part 1

It was at exactly that day at around midnight, that the world was shaken by yet another horrid story… this one, of a beloved hero.

Breaking News bulletins ran across the biggest and smallest of news stations, who flooded to the mad story.

The only difference being, their way of presenting it to the globe.

[ Star city billionaire playboy, Oliver Queen, is secretly a vigilante hero. ]

[ Green Arrow now the key suspect, to the death involving a young innocent woman ]

[ Parent's mourn their only child's death at the hands of Oliver Queen. ]

[ Star City left in tragedy after a horrid revelation involving their justice league hero. ]

[ Star city is now without it's hero and local billionaire, just like Metropolis… ]

The news brought calm evenings to a halt, people of varying ages glued to their TV's and devices, trying to learn more of this intriguing story, with many wondering if it was real?

People had an innate act of twisting the truth to sound more interesting or better than a surrounding third party.

Some people now believed one fact whilst another believed their own, sparking a division that only grew to spread the story more… and twist the facts even further.

In such a spiral of chaotic negligence and ignorance, the truth becomes the smallest factor and those logical enough to understand it, are treated as fools.

That exact situation was now a various spreading chaotically to even the most remote of nations and states. Mere minutes after the news broke, various celebrities rushed to their raging media platforms and exhibited their own opinions, spreading their views and blinding those that follow them into brainwashed slaves.

Arias sat comfortably in Markovic tower, that stood heights above many other buildings…completely alone.

His chair was rotated to the large glass walls that often decorated such structures.

He sat in silence, bathed in the many luminous lights from the dark Gotham City. But even he knew that the world was in a chaotic spiral of turmoil.

A social collapse whose impact would not be small in the least. A point even he didn't want to make, unless to prove a point.

Only the biggest of characters could truly understand such a message. Governments, intelligence agencies and mega corporations.

Unlike the people at a lower level in life, they got the full truth and were left to decide what the real truth would be.

In mere minutes, emergency meetings were made among the world's elite, some happy as they benefited from the chaos, others unhappy from the losses they made each second.

Just what was happening?

In simple truth, someone sparked a chain of events leading to a spiral of misinformation, split opinions, divided people.

Why was the world in such a fragile state? Because the world nearly experienced a frightening pandemic, saved only because of that same person.

It wasn't like they didn't know Arias was now guilty of some of the acts against him, it was just that it was impossible to deal with him without backlash.

Foreign countries would not intervene to help even if they suffered some losses, because one of the most powerful countries in the world suffered even more.

As for said country, it couldn't deal with him either without leaving itself in a fragile state… so they task superhero's to help them do it quietly… but he proves to be incredibly powerful and only scars them badly.

Such a person can only be left to do as they please within a segment given to them.

For Arias, it was widely known in circles that he practically run Gotham. But it was also known that he organized some of the most incredible events in recent history.

His rose from tragic story to generous billionaire, his "daughter" is a future Queen of a country, he is considered to hold the most powerful assembly of super-humans and…

By any standard, Arias was a minor world elite. Untouchable… but without much say in the true running of the world… only a city. Which rings to question his final shaking event.

…his subordinate was on set to becoming the president of a world superpower.

It was simply mind-boggling how he executed such deeply hidden goals in seemingly friendly terms.

In time, they would have naturally been delt with, but the time in which the events occurred simply left the world as a whole no time to react.

A brilliant mind in Luthor and cunning mind in Amanda Waller were both executed before either could truly understand the threat… and by the time they did… it was too late.

And now, with this current event, putting together the recent rumors surrounding Arias and the fact that they were leaked by a league member… the world elite could only put two and two together, revealing a frightening conclusion.

This social disaster, was simply the by-product of revenge. He too would obviously suffer monetary losses and such but didn't care.

His name was made to suffer, so he dragged the world elite to suffer alongside him, so they could see why it was wise to disturb his peace.

Kind of a "Don't disturb me, I don't disturb you" message.

Could they reveal the truth and make him the culprit it? Of course not, then they would be making those at lower levels think two much of everything.

They could risk attempting a silent pacification of him… but would it work now that he showed that he could deal with the world's most powerful superhero?

They could do nothing, they could say nothing, they had to quietly struggle and resolve the situation, all while the culprit watched them do so.

But how could they resolve this quietly and quickly? By twisting the facts into a believable enough story, covering all blindsides in the story with their own facts and truths.

But to truly bring this chaos to a stop, they needed to direct the narrative and attention to a new piece of news, one more tragic and one with a bigger villain for the public to hate.

So by morning that day, a new truth awoke.

A completely knew story, one of forged evidence, stories, witnesses, friends and so on, a compelling global lie pushed down the throats of the people.

A collective hate now forming on the one chosen to be the scapegoat. And in a twisted sense of irony… the people to execute him and shun him were those who fought for so diligently and passionately.

Stubborn, boorish and even arrogant sometimes, but overall a good human being.

He was now to face a tragic series of events, his name forever stained, guilt, regret and hate all boiling inside him… but his voice practically mute… drowned out by the loudness of the hate thrown at him.

That… was Arias's Revenge.
