5 A World of Possibilities

Before Nexus stretched a planet. It was vast, almost double the size of his home planet Terra.

His eyes widened in shock at the sight of this colossal world.

What was more astonishing was that this planet had vast expanses of water covering approximately 69% of its surface.

As Nexus gazed upon the watery expanse, he saw life itself.

Bacteria, microscopic but undeniably, were thriving in these waters.

The existence of life in any form after the desolation he had witnessed on Terra was nothing short of a miracle.

He marveled at the possibilities this discovery presented.

With newfound excitement and hope, Nexus contemplated his next steps.

He had already honed his powers over the course of a billion years, developing six golden cores that held unimaginable energy helping him interact with the world once again.

As he pondered, a thought crossed his mind. Perhaps, with the energy he now possessed, he could influence and guide the evolution of life on this new planet.

Although previous results showed that he couldn't use his powers to influence the physical world.

But was only one experiment he did, and nexus already had a plan in mind to counter it.

"What is this plan you ask?" He questioned.

"Well it's actually simple, since i am a soul right now shouldn't i just possessed a living organism!" He mused, excitement precent in his voice.

"This is what a billion years of research gets you!, HAHAHA" he shouted laughing maniacally.

"*Cough*"

"Of course this isn't a guarantee and for all i know it's just my hypothesis."

After calming down nexus began his plan directly heading to the spot where he last found an abundance of bacterias.

Looking at the microscopic bacterias before him, nexus couldn't help but be amazed by his own ability to see them or more specifically see their souls.

"A bit weird but it does makes sense considering im a soul now, but why do i also see the waters soul?" He muttered.

The water or more specifically the Ocean having a Soul have been bothering nexus as for while but he chooses to ignore them for now.

His hands quickly went for the clusters of bacterias, opening his palms nexus released his soul energy and injecting it to them.

This might not align with the possession that most people think but nexus was sure this was how he possessed someone.

Even if it doesn't work he can just try another method.

As his energy seeped in, nexus felt a connection with the bacterias Before him.

But as he was about to celebrate when suddenly a *Pop* can heard and their already tiny Souls turned to nothing.

His connection immediately disappearing afterwards.

"What!?" He shouted.

In a blink of an eye all that progress vanished.

The sudden death of the microbes was a bit surprised and unexpected for nexus.

Thankfully there was trillions more of them around so he wasn't worried that much.

"But what went wrong though, it clearly worked why did they died"

"I didn't injected to much energy so for sure it wasn't it, maybe i should change my way of possession" he questioned.

Although a failed experiment nexus was still happy that it worked, proving his hypothesis right.

Nexus quickly tried again this time planing to possess them using his body this time.

Moving on to another spot where there's an abundance of bacteria, nexus dive in directly.

As he got closer Nexus noticed that as he got closer every Life around him exploded.

He immediately stopped and looked at the exploding microbes before him.

Nexus hadn't noticed it before due to his excitement but his presence seem to have a bad effects on the Life around him.

"Why?" Nexus couldn't help question abit frustrated by the situation.

He quickly flew up into the sky to avoid killing more of them, nexus wasn't interested in another extinction.

Sitting on one of the clouds he wondered what could be the cause of all this.

His energy possession hypothesis was correct by all means and it worked after all but still it ended with the bacterias death.

The same goes for his body possession plan, killing the bacterias without even getting in contact to them.

Looking back at what happened nexus began to noticed a pattern, all of it directly involved his energy, ie his soul power.

Clearly his energy is stable considering nexus took a billion years to honing them.

"Could it be that my energy is just too strong for the bacterias" He muttered.

Closing his eyes he once again pondered about it.

After a good while he concluded that it was most likely the reason for the microbes death.

"I guess im just too handsome for these lowly microbes" he joked.

Since possession of the bacterias wasn't an option anymore nexus moved on to another plan.

This time nexus planned to possess the ocean itself knowing that it actually has a soul.

Now How and when did the ocean get a soul, he doesn't know but considering it's large size nexus felt that he can safely possessed it without it's soul exploding.

But if it did fail the sight of the Ocean exploding would be a spectacle to see.

Floating down from the cloud he previously sat at nexus dive directly to the Ocean below.

His intentions clear, that is to possess the Ocean.

*splash*

Nexus directly fell into the oceans soul, inside it's soul nexus was floating mindlessly.

Nexus felt like he was actually floating in a real Ocean which he didn't felt before when he was swimming on it's physical form.

Looking around all he could see was white, unlike him now the oceans soul was completely barren just like him 1 billion years ago.

Not wanting idle anymore nexus quickly started possessing it, injecting large amount of energy all around him and the soul quickly faltered before his might and converted into his Soul energy.

"Oh so you can also take away others soul, Great! "

In just 10 seconds nexus already possessed the Ocean.

He felt his body swaying about and hitting the landmasses, even the microbes that swim about the Ocean, Nexus can't help but tear up,

"After a billion years of loneliness a man can finally be happy with hope in eyes" he muttered

Wiping his tears away, nexus immediately had a serious look on his face as he begun his new plan.

Using his extensive knowledge of genetics, ecology, and the sciences of life.

The prospect of seeding this world with life like microbes, and fostering its development, and potentially creating the emergence of intelligent beings akin to humanity excited him..

But Nexus was not without caution, His past failures had taught him to be patient.

He needed to study this planet, understand it, and carefully plan his interventions to avoid repeating the mistakes of the past.

Nexus quickly extended his senses, reaching out to explore this new world. searching for the underlying patterns of its ecosystems, the flow of energy, and the potential for life to flourish.

Despite the harsh conditions and the planet's colossal size it was already a fully insatiable, and stable enough to evolve life.

The barren lands, though vast, possessed a stark beauty of their own. The oceans teemed with the promise of biodiversity. There was potential here, a canvas upon which he could paint the story of life's resurgence.

"To be or not to be i am destined to bring forth life here!"

"No i am the Destiny that brings forth. Everything!"
