4 A billion Years to enlightenment

For a thousand years, Nexus remained suspended in the vast expanse of space, a silent observer of the void that had once cradled his home, Terra. Diligently meditating

During this thousand years of meditation nexus contemplated his failures and the futility of his mission.

He had attempted to resurrect humanity, to bring back the civilization that had once thrived, but his efforts had been in vain.

All he ever did was watch unable to stop it's end.

The planet, once teeming with life, had become a desolate sphere, Its cities, once bustling with activity, were now reduced to rubble and ruin.

The remnants of humanity had vanished, buried in kilometers of snow.

leaving behind only the ever expanding ice sheets and snow that echoes of what once was.

"How cold" he muttered

For these thousands of years all he ever did was meditate.

Doing such task everyday can tear a man to insanity so nexus did a lot of experiments.

Using his now better control of the energy nexus tried to use the powers externally, planning to use them outside his body.

As Nexus conjured the energy inside his body, he felt a tingling sensation once again, a clear sign that the energy has been controlled.

He attempted to make it passed through his fingers and into his Palm.

After many trial and error he finally succeeded, as Golden gas swirls in his palms.

He played around with it for awhile but nothing happened, until It eventually disappeared after 3 seconds.

Although it was to be expected he still tried to create some sort of reaction from it, trying again this time imagine flames coming out of his palms.

Wanting to see if its the same as the the magic energies he seen it movies.

Just imagining the things he could do if his thoughts where proven correctly made him ecstatic.

"I hope this works" he muttered anticipation precent in his voice.

With the fireball in mind he controlled the energy planning to release it out his fingers once again and into his palm.

As it happens Nexus can't help but blurt out the word, "fireball"

"Fireball!"....

"Flame!".....

"Fire!".....

3 seconds later...

It was a failure, the only thing that happened was nexus being embarrassed by the whole ordeal.

Nexus can't help but laugh at himself for what just happened.

"What was i thinking, this is reality not some sort of webnovel"

After some few other experiments that ultimately ended in failure aswell he once again meditated.

During this time aswell he learned that meditation doesn't actually expand his soul energy but only helps him control it better.

He learned this after not meditating for 30 years and to his surprised he actually just passively gains it.

Nexus theorized that it might be related to his existence but with no proof to this he shove it aside for now.

This continued for another thousands of years as Nexus continues to experiment with his powers.

It's been roughly 34 million years and nexus has gained some improvements after years of meditation and experimentation.

He was now able to manipulate his soul energy into any shape he desires.

But he still unable to find use of his powers outside of his body, but he did learned a lot regarding his energy.

After the years of experiments he found out that he can actually condensed his Soul energy into a solid core.

This was a big thing for nexus, he now has two cores and it turned it doubled his soul energy by huge margin.

"If i have enough soul energy from my core would i be finally able to move" he mused.

As he can recall he was able to slightly move before forcefully even with a small amount of soul energy precent in his body.

Since there was no trouble in trying, nexus stretch his hand forward and to his surprise it actually move where he wanted it.

Previously whenever he tried to move before his body will feel heavy making him unable to do so and forcing him to stop.

This was exciting News, Now that nexus was actually able to move when his soul power expanded.

It likely mean that he might be able to come back to Terra and seed it with life.

That might sound impossible but with his extensive knowledge regarding Geneology, ecology, and other forms of science regarding life Plus nexus has a feeling that his powers ie, his soul energy is able to make it happen.

With this goal in mind persistently meditated once again, even if it doesn't improve his soul energy it's still able to better his control of it which is undoubtedly a good thing.

Time flew quickly and 1 billion years have passed.

Nexus has been meditating for a billion years, and his once transparent body that only had nothing but a golden core within has changed drastically.

His body now shining brightly in the void of space emitting a Golden radiance.

Six golden cores shone inside him, 1 in each palms 1 im each foot 1 in his chest and lastly one inside his head.

Each of them are the round in shape, each are the size of an adults fist, each seems to bend light around them like that of a black holes.

One can only imagine the power these cores have.

Nexus might not know this but one of those cores alone is able to release a force able to destroy the Sun.

Opening his eyes nexus saw the planet Terra in ruins.

The atmosphere has cease to exist within the planet, its surface in perpetual hell and in the other perpetual ice age.

Lava splurge out of the land becoming exceedingly hotter by the second as the Sun heat rays penetrates the Earth.

With no atmosphere to stop the radiation from the Sun the surface of the planet who is facing the sun was turn into hell scape.

The planet has stopped rotating leaving the front side of the planet to burn up and it's back side in gulf im ice all year round.

This was a bit of a shock to nexus, as he thought that the planet would've recovered a bit after the ice age cause by the atmosphere changing.

Who would've known it would turned up this way.

"All of that effort turn to nothing" he spoke, dejection precent in voice.

His plans of seeding life to the planet has been foiled.

But he still didn't lost hope this was just a minor setback, the universe is a massive place, he can just find another planet.

Clearly the billion years of mediation has improved not only his powers but also his mentality.

Closing his eyes once again, nexus pondered his next action.

During this time his thoughts often drifted to the past but nexus Continued to hold on, all of it are mere distraction.

Even if he might be alone in this universe he is sure that there is always a Way to bring back humanity and if there's no way to then he will just create life.

It doesn't matter if they are aliens completely different from the humans, what matter is that they have values like those of humanity.

Face with these circumstances one must be more opportunistic and never lose hope.

Being alone for a billion years with nothing but meditation has made him very lonely and desperate for someone to talk to.

He wants to experience Life once again.

As he was lost in thought a thin string suddenly came out of his body heading somewhere unknown.

As it continues to move away nexus intuition was telling that his wishes was about to happen.

After what seems like years the string finally stopped, the moment it stopped moving nexus felt like the world had stopped moving.

Suddenly he arrived at the where the string stopped.

Infront of him was a planet almost twice the size of his home planet Terra, shock filled his face.

Whats more shocking was the planet had water in it's surface, it covered approximately 69% of the planet, the rest was barren land.

And to his surprise there was bacteria living on the Ocean.

"Is this fate!? Or a work of a higher being" he exclaimed.
