Artorias The Abysswalker

( A/N: Due to this being too long within the Author section I'm going to write this here, if this annoyed you then I'm sorry. I want to give you all a heads up, I plan on finishing the DARK SOULS arc soon and bringing Armin and his family to another world.

I've already planned on the next world which will be Unordinary from Webtoon and this will be mostly a chill and short Arc. I want to let his family experience a modern life so I decided to pick here because I honestly really enjoy it, plus who wants to see Armin return to high school haha.

The next world after Unordinary will be up to you all, I have picked out three worlds for you all to choose from.

Gears Of War: Within this world, Armin will explore and meet both sides and it is currently unknown if he will join a side or simply fuck around and annoy both of them. If you want to read this then pick this one.

NieR: Automata: Within this world, Armin will pick up a new Harem member (2B) and screw around. He is technically the last human (ish) so if you wonder about what will happen then pick this one.

Sword Art Online: Within this world, Armin will automatically be placed within SAO and people will see him as an NPC and not a player. Armin could fuck around a decide to be the true final boss and kill everyone (save a few probably) or maybe help everyone. If you like this then pick it.

Whatever has the most votes will be the world they go too, once again I'm sorry for putting my thoughts here, enjoy the chapter! )

Armin was currently standing in front of a fog gate which led into the arena where he would fight Artorias. He was slightly excited as he really enjoyed this boss fight when he played the game.

Armin walked through the fog wall and the system started playing the music, Armin could help but reenact a meme when he saw an Oolacile Resident (Bloatheads) standing in the middle of the arena.

Armin: "Why do I hear boss music?"

Moments later he watched as Artorias jumped down and impaled his sword into the monster. He couldn't help but give a laugh, he watched as Artorias looked at him, and soon he was covered in a black aura and moments later screamed out. Armin quickly checked its stats.

Steadfast Leap: Artorias crouches, then leaps high into the air towards the enemy, causing damage in a small area of effect around him dealing 8,000 damage to everyone around him.

Somersault Slam: Artorias somersaults into the air after which he slams his sword down vertically. He can repeat this up to three times with each dealing 10,000 damage for a total of 30,000 damage.

Overhand Smash: Artorias slams his sword overhead and towards the ground; high staggering power that leaves his guard open for a short time after it lands. This attack does 8,000 damage.

Charging Slash: Artorias moves toward the enemy while swinging his sword 360 degrees. This attack deals 9,000 damage to all enemies it makes contact with.

Heavy Thrust: Pauses before performing a heavy, medium-range thrust towards the enemy. If it connects, it can hit twice, dealing heavy damage and knocking the enemy to the ground dealing 10,000 damage + Strength.

Spinning Slash: Artorias quickly spins, completing a full revolution. It has the potential to connect twice dealing 8,000 damage each.

Abyss Sludge: Artorias throws a staggering sludge in a wide arc, a few feet in front of him. Usually performed if positioned behind him. This attack deals 5,000 damage and can corrupt the enemy if it makes contact. (Due to void core the Host is unable to be corrupted.)

Wrath of the Abyss: Activates in intervals after approximately 20% of his total health is reduced. After rolling away, he will slowly build up dark magic energy, presenting ample time for retaliation, potentially staggering him, or to apply augmentations to one's weapon or self. A single Sunlight Spear can stagger him and prevent this build-up from finalizing. If the enemy does not stagger him, he will release an explosion that does magic damage in a mid-ranged area of effect all around him. Artorias' attack speed, area of effect, and damage are enhanced for a limited time afterward. These effects can stack. This ability deals 5,000 damage and boosts the corresponding aspects by 80%. ]

Armin immediately became serious as this would be a difficult fight. He had a slight thought if he should bring out Ethereal and Priscilla for assistance but changed his mind due to Abyss Sludge. He would be safe but what about them? They didn't have a void core so he was forced to fight this boss alone.

Armin then activated Power Within alongside Dawn Of Light due to Artorias being corrupted by the Abyss. Dawn Of Light currently did 50,000 damage but he didn't know how much more it does to creatures of the dark, all he knew was that with Power Within and his Void core boosting its power he would deal 500,000 damage. (50,000 + 500% = 250,000 + 100% = 500,000)

Suddenly both of Armin's hands started to shine pure white and it only shined brighter every millisecond that passed. Armin was combining Dawn Of Light with Dual Casting and the moment Artorias through the corpse on his sword Armin was ready and clapped his hands powerful together.

The moment his hands collided a light brighter than a star exploded outworks blinding Armin along with everything within 10,000 feet. Armin could hear countless roars of agony as he realized the spell would not only be contained with the arena.

What Armin didn't know was that this spell caused a lot of commotion. The blinding light-activated as a dome that could be seen miles upon miles away and could even be seen from Anor Londo. Gwyn at the time was still within Anor Londo.

Gwyn: "Isn't that coming from Oolacile? Send someone to investigate."

The people surrounding Gwyn immediately started making orders while Armin was panting. With his current total mana being boosted by Power Within, Dawn Of Light used up 50% and now that he used two at once he currently didn't have any mana.

After the blinding light disappeared Armin saw Artorias was slammed deep within a wall without any sort of corruption showing on his Armor. He quickly checked how much damage he caused and was shocked that he dealt 99.9% of his HP.

Armin charged forwards and slashed down his sword but right before it landed he heard Artorias speak.

Artorias: "Thank you..."

Even when he clearly heard him speak Armin didn't stop and soon killed the boss and received multiple notifications.

[ Corrupted Soul of Artorias is attempting to fuse with the Hosts Soul... Purging possible side effects... New skill gained.

[ Host has absorbed a soul infected by the Abyss... Void Core is absorbing the Abyss within... The host is suggested to absorb the Abyss and Soul Of Manus for more bonuses such as stat improvements... ]

[ Abyssal Control (MAX) -Passive-: The host is able to control the Abyss within yourself using it as a tool instead of becoming its puppet. The Abyss increases the Infected's stat and you currently have a 1.2x increase in all stats, the infected gains better use of dark magic increasing the damage by 1.2x. This skill is able to evolve but requires more corruption but due to your void core you are able to absorb an unlimited amount without being mutated and losing your mind. ]

[ Wrath Of The Abyss (1/100) -Active-: Used by the corrupted Knight Artorias, the skill has been improved thanks to the system. All stats along with attack/cast speed are boosted by 1% for one hour, unlike Artorias the Host is unable to stack this skill if used again.

Once this skill reaches a max level the Hosts stats and attack/cast speed will increase by 100% ]

Armin's eyes lit up as he was reading over the notifications, his version of Wrath Of The Abyss basically sacrificed its stacking ability in favor of longer use. Armin couldn't wait to absorb the Abyss and Soul Of Manus as he wanted to see how much stat boosts he would receive. Armin then opened his stats to use the stat points he just earned a saved up.

Armin instantly felt the incredible feeling of growing stronger, he could also feel the darkness that was inside of him. Honestly? He enjoyed it... It felt really good... He also noticed a golden orb where Artorias body was and when he collected it he couldn't help but smile.

Seeing the defense the Armor gave made Armin happy as he was better than his Black Knight Set but once he reached the last set bonus he became disappointed. Nevertheless, he put the armor within his inventory as it was almost broken and he didn't know if it could be repaired after it is completely broken.

Armin walked out of the arena and noticed an incredible change, the township that should have been corrupted by the Abyss was gone completely!

Sadly he also noticed it was slowly but surely growing back. Dawn Of Light could temporarily nullify the Abyss but after a few moments, it would return. He walked over to the bonfire and lit it up but instead of continuing on he turned around and noticed a person was looking directly at him.

Armin knew who this person was, she was called the Lord's Blade Ciaran. Armin never knew where she came from to reach the doorway so quick but he guessed it was from the giant.

Ciaran: "What was that? Who are you and how can you not be affected by the Abyss inside of you? I feel it inside yet it doesn't try to consume you Besides this who did you murder to have that suit of armor, no Knights were brought here! Answer me!"

Armin: "Why does it matter? Why am I required to answer you?"

Ciaran: "First of all you are infected with the Abyss yet you haven't mutated and gone insane and seconded you have the ability to temporarily stop it! Who taught you that magic! The only reason I've yet to attack you is that we need to learn this magic to hold off the Abyss!"

Hearing this made Armin smile as he took off his helmet.

Armin: "Mortal I'd advise you to hold your tongue, your kind has already disgraced my title. You are all greedy and I should have never given you all my gifts. The humans were the only ones who could barely harness my gift but your false god imprisoned them at the edge of my world."

As Armin spoke, Ciaran was filling with rage and confusion but resisted the urge to strike at him.

Armin: "I've given you kind the Lord Souls and the Humans their own along with the Abyss but since you've have gotten them you claimed yourself as God's and ruled with an iron fist. Your kind even betrayed the humans who forged weapon made within the Abyss and forced most of them away. Look at what you caused, If I didn't want to watch the world collapse on its own I would have come down in my real body and started anew."

Armin felt like playing the actual God card and started bad-mouthing her and her kind. Ciaran couldn't believe what she was hearing.

Armin: "I created the dragon as let them live but I've grown bored so I made a new race and given them gifts to match up with the dragons but it was a mistake. You declared a pointless war on them and brought them to near extinction. Your kind is my greatest mistake. The mortal called Gwyn? Him a God? Don't make me laugh, he is nothing but a stronger mortal."

Armin said this with absolute calmness and even looked bored but on the inside, he was laughing as he watched Ciaran violently shaking in rage. He already checked her stats but she was only ranked Normal, Armin couldn't understand how she even became one of Gwyn's Knights.

Ciaran could resist it anymore and decided to forcefully subdue the man who claimed himself their creator. She 'quickly' rushed towards Armin and wanted to disable him so she could interrogate him about the magic he used but Armin literally bitch slaps her away.

Armin: "Not very impressive, but also very stupid. Did you really believe I would just allow you to attack me?"

Armin didn't use much strength but that slap sent her to the ground. She wanted to attack again but she knew that next time she might not survive if he decided to outright kill her.

Ciaran: "What is your purpose for being here..."

Armin: "I'm taking away my gifts stupid. Why would I be controlled by something I created? Would you rather I give you all the rest of the Abyss? I've only given you a drop in the Abyss and you think this is bad?"

Ciaran was horrified but what she heard, even if there was an unbelievable low chance that this person really was the creator and he decided to give the entire Abyss then what would happen? Should she even stop him? He said he wanted to take the Abyss so why not let him?

Ciaran was honestly doing something stupid, Armin could simply be there to cause the Abyss to spread more but she wasn't thinking clearly so she spoke.

Ciaran: "Then do it! Take it away!"

Armin: "Then stop bothering me, do you realize how annoying it is to have to restart? 97,000 times. That's how many times your kind has done something stupid that forced me to restart this world. If I didn't give you gifts you would kill yourselves later on and if I do give you gifts then you destroy my world! It's funny really, Humans are the closest thing to perfection but they always turn to the wrong path by outside influence. How long have you been using primitive weapons? I'll show you what happened when humans killed off your kind and ruled themselves."

Armin suddenly showed her memories of a modern world. She watched how peaceful it was and only humans remained, no magic, no Abyss, no dragons, just humans, and their technology.

Armin: "They are infinitely better than your sorry excuse of a species. It took them less than 300 years to create this, it all started when one human was outraged by your betrayal. He convinced others to join him and they eventually declared war on you all, 10 years later you kind was completely dead. But they still failed because they became greedy, they killed the dragon, absorbed the souls and died with them, used up the Abyss and caused it to fade away, forgot how to use magic because they refused to teach others it, In the end, they replaced everything with technology... Greed ruins everything..."

After showing her the memories he simply left her there as she was talking to herself.

Ciaran: "Are we truly a mistake? How long have we been stagnant? Humans did so much even without magic, the Abyss, and the Lord Souls. What have we accomplished? Nothing..."

Armin was already walking through the Township and realized that all the enemies were killed when he used Dawn Of Light. He didn't understand as he never received any Stat Points from them so he asked why.

[ Host was too far away to absorb their corrupted souls. They dissipated into nothingness. ]

Armin: "But my Stat Points..."

He honestly felt like crying, how many stat points could he have gotten if he was able to absorb all those souls? Armin held in his tears and made his way throughout. He picked up quite a few items but nothing was really noteworthy. Eventually, Armin made it to his goal, all around him he could only see darkness.

Armin used Dawn Of Light at low power so he would be able to see. After giving himself some light he made his way throughout the chasm and noticed a bunch of red eyes glowing, as anyone would do he sent multiple Arrows of Light and Light Spears towards them.

Armin already knew what they were so he wasn't really worried about it. After killing the creatures he received 12.4 Stat Points and also a notification telling him the Abyss within him grew due to absorbing the corrupted souls. Sadly he didn't evolve Abyssal Control yet.

After a while of walking around and killing things, he picked up a few items but decided to check them later and he wanted to find the Wolf doggo! Eventually, he found a field full of Giant Humanity which made him ask a question.

Armin: "Those also increase the Abyss inside of me right? Do I kill them all the same?"

[ Giant Humanity does increase the Abyss inside of you and you could literally eat them but I suggest you wait until you defeat Manus. I'll be able to guide you on how to Absorb the Abyss itself when you defeat him. ]

Armin nodded his head and soon reached a bridge but towards the side, he noticed a large amount of fog. He remembered that this was the way the cat would get his attention to lead him to Sif. Armin walked on the floor made out of illusions and fell into the fog. Off to the side, he watched the cat as it disappeared.

Armin continued to follow it and reached the shortcut next to the fake wall where his goal is. After activating the shortcut he tapped the fake wall making it disappear and within he saw Sif surrounded by Giant and small Humanity. The doggo also noticed him but the strange man did something he never expected.

Armin literally started eating humanity as if it was a snack, every time Armin finished eating one he only felt more hungry. One by one Armin ate humanity and was looking at a tiny one trying to float away. He just picked it up and looked directly into it ghostly eyes and spoke.

Armin: "I know I just ate your friends or family or whatever but I'll keep you as a pet, you small and adorable. If you be good and don't try to corrupt anything I'll let you freely float around and do whatever you want."

Armin: 'System could you perhaps make it so he can't hurt things in any way? Also is this thing technically alive, can I put it within my inventory?'

[ Umm, I don't even know. Both? It is clearly alive but it is able to go inside your inventory so it is also dead. I'll be able to stop it from corrupting things once you absorb the Abyss. ]

The little floating humanity stopped try to escape and started behaving. Armin smiled and put it inside his inventory then looked to Sif who was also looking him only with a surprised and confused look on its face. Armin walked over and sat down in front and spoke.

Armin: "Hey there, you probably scared but I won't hurt you or anything. I let Artorias sleep in peace and he will no longer be a puppet to the Abyss. I'll see you again Sif in the future when you are grown up okay? Keep that sword and I hope we can be friends, my name is Armin."

Sif stood up and pushed his head against Armin's palm and a few moments later the doggo gave out a howl and disappeared leaving a glowing orb. When he touched it he received the Cleansing Greatshield.

[ Cleansing Greatshield

Description: The steel greatshield used by Knight Artorias, who succumbed to the Abyss. Artorias, deeply scarred by the Abyss, used this to form a barrier to protect his compatriot Sif. Although this drained the shield, its magic defense remains high.

Defense: 500.0

Durability: 72/1,500

Special Bonus: Blocks 60% of incoming magic based damage. ]

Armin happily stored the shield within his inventory and started making his way through the seemingly never-ending darkness. While going deeper into the chasm Armin would often run into more Giant Humanity causing him to eat more. Doing this made his feel hungrier but as he finished another giant humanity he suddenly felt full along with receiving a notification.

[ Congratulations on evolving *Abyssal Control*!

Abyssal Control -> Abyssal Manifestation!

Abyssal Manifestation: The evolved version of Abyssal Control, the user is able to slowly generate your own Abyssal Energy along with giving you the ability to manifest it into a physical matter. All stats are now permanently boosted by 1.5x, this skill is still able to be evolved. ]

Armin suddenly felt stronger once again but he also felt hungry once more, luckily it felt like he was very slowly eating the Energy Of The Abyss causing him to guess that it was his soul creating more of it now. He restarted making his way down while picking up items, eventually Armin made his way in front of a large fog gate.

Armin didn't make his way inside, he wanted to level up Wrath Of The Abyss. When he started fighting Artorias he knew that it was the only reason it was so easy was because of Dawn Of Light. This skill caused massive damage yet he still survived it but was left on deaths door.

Manus should be much, much stronger. If Manus also received massive bonuses from the Abyssal Energy then how strong would he be? Armin refused to enter and started spamming Wrath Of The Abyss, but surprisingly it was leveling up incredibly fast! After five times it already reached level 10, he felt something wasn't right as this is a very powerful skill so it should take longer to level up.

Armin resorted to asking the system if it knew why it was leveling up so quickly. Armin has his own guesses such as Abyssal Manifestation boosting it but when he read why he felt really stupid.

[ You're joking, right? The skill is called Wrath Of The Abyss and guess where you are... Since you are within The Abyss, all skills related to it level up quicker. ]

After he stopped feeling stupid he returned to spamming the skill. This continued on for what felt like 2-3 hours as he finally reached the MAX level.

[ Wrath Of The Abyss (MAX) -Active-

Stat Bonus: 100% for 1 hour.

Attack/Cast Speed: 100% for 1 hour. ]

After reaching max level Armin turned around and looked at two summon signs. One was Marvelous Chester while the other was Sif, He asked a question as he didn't even understand how they appeared here when no one came to write them down.

Armin: 'Hey System how the hell did their summon signs even appear? I think I would notice them walking nearby and writing down a glowing summon sign...'

[ This is one of the Law's within this universe, if someone gave their consent to be summoned for battle then a sign will appear within 30 minutes of entering the fight. If an hour passes the sign will disappear on its own. ]

Armin: 'Neat, guess I'll see the fluffy doggo sooner than I expected.'

Armin then proceeded to summon Marvelous Chester and when he appeared he spoke.

Marvelous Chester: "Oh my, look at what you did to me when you blinded all of Oolacile! I turned white like a ghost! I must say that whatever you did would have definitely help me when I was within 'Bloodborne' how many monsters could I have killed HAHA!"

Armin: "Oh shut it you insane sack of flesh! We both know it's because you are a summon! If you're wondering it's called Dawn Of Light and it deals a large amount of damage to creatures of darkness."

Suddenly Armin went pale and quicker asked the System another question.

Armin: 'Please tell me that I'm not considered a creature of darkness or that this spell doesn't hurt the caster... It would probably kill me 100 times over and still continue killing me...'

[ Host will be fine if you choose to use Dawn Of Light. ]

Armin breathed a sigh of relief and moved over towards the summon sign of Sif. Once the doggo appeared it slightly growled as feeling The Abyss within Armin.

Armin: "Don't worry buddy, I can't be consumed by the Abyss. Look I'm even using light magic haha."

Sif soon stopped and moved closer towards Armin and started rubbing its head on his leg. After a few moments, Marvelous Chester released a fake cough.

Armin: "Right, I have no clue how powerful Manus current is but I'll be able to cast 5 Dawn Of Light's and by then I will be drained of my Mana. I normally cast 2 at once so technically I can only use it 3 times. Actually, hang on."

Armin opened the store to see if there was anything that regenerated his mana and found a couple of items.

[ Mana Herb (1,000 Gold): Regenerate 2% of your Mana per second for 5 seconds.

Armin honestly didn't care about how much it would cost, if he spent 30,000+ Gold and didn't have to in the end then oh well. He wasn't going to risk his life over this and started selling everything within his inventory. He left a few important items such as Artorias armor and shield along with his Obsidian Greatsword and spells he picked up.

After selling everything he has picked up he gained 124,751 Gold, this would allow him to buy 4 Mana Essences.

Armin: "Once we enter I'm going to cast my spells and when I yell 'Now' then close your eyes as you will be blinded by the light."

He then brought out one of the Mana Essence's and he just knew he needed to crush it for it to active. Armin also used Power Within and Wrath Of The Abyss giving himself another increase in stats.

Armin: "Alright then, let's go kill the ugly fucker shall we?"
