The Unexpected Turn and Fall of the Hive

James was making his way around the horde with his new weapon of choice. Due to the ability that he had gained by becoming a hybrid, he was absurdly strong. Due to that, his new weapon of choice was a broad sword that was two feet wide and eight feet long. Its size and thickness made it so that the sword by itself weighed two hundred pounds, yet James was able to swing it like it weighed nothing.

Morgan was wearing a set of gauntlets and boots that accented her scales. This made it so that she could easily defend while also being able to use the trident that had been made for her. Matt thought it was only appropriate since she had an affinity to the water so he gave her something fitting of a hybrid with her abilities.

Kate wore a simple armor that gave her better defense in her physical form. Being able to turn into smoke made it easy for her to avoid injury so she was given a thin short sword. She was able to make her way around to the thinnest portions of the horde and easily cut them down.

Chris was given a pair of daggers that made use of his incredible speed. They were slightly on the long side so that they would give him better reach. He was using his speed to kill off the stronger level two infected that were in the rear closest to the hive.

They were the only ones that Matt had brought with him since they had the highest combat ability compared to the rest. The longer that he stalled for time, the more of the horde that would be done in until it was time to deal with the building itself. James was already close to his position so he gave the signal for James to make his sneak attack on the level three.

James made a quick dash and swung his broad sword at that moment to deal as much damage as possible. The sword made contact with a loud noise similar to a large bell being rung. This strike managed to cleave one of the infected arms and lodge itself into the side of the rib cage. In an attempt to counter, the infected swung its remaining arm and managed to clip Matt since he didn't expect to be attacked instead of James.

The blow launched him into one of the windows that remained on the hive. The moment he made contact with the window, it shattered and blood colored tentacles reached out and pulled him in. The rest of the group was worried, but could do nothing at the moment due to the remaining infected. James was left to contend with the level three that had been dealt a fair amount of damage at this point.

Matt, now inside the hive, was being pulled towards the center of the second floor. He was continuously wrapped by the tentacles to prevent him from escaping. When he reached the center, what he could see was a woman that was glued to a pillar that was made of hardened blood. He was pulled to a stop in front of the woman so he had a chance to see her clearly.

He hair was dark red and both eyes were the same color while the rest of her was pale like she had been drained of blood. From the waist up she was nude, while from the waist down she was a mass of tentacles that seemed to have replaced her legs. Matt, could not help but notice her very full breasts that probably bordered on being too large for her thin frame.

The woman stared straight at him when he arrived. She didn't seem to have a shred of humanity left to be able to speak to him. As she pulled him closer, her mouth opened to reveal rows of sharp fangs that were obviously designed to drain a person of their blood. Before she could bite him though, he released a flash of energy that broke the tentacles and allowed him to gain some distance from her.

She screeched in pain as some of her tentacles were deconstructed by his ability. His only concern now was that the amount of power he gained from doing this was actually quite large. His vessel that already had a small pool that filled it a third of the way trembled as it began to grow. It grew past the one third mark and was almost to half way full when it stopped.

Matt immediately knew that the amount of energy that the hive produced was something that he had not encountered yet. He felt that all he had to do to expand his vessel and reach the point of converting that energy into a solid was to take out this hive. With that in mind, he decided to focus on the woman first. Taking her out would stop the production of new infected and would allow his team to clean up the ones that remained.

The woman kept using her tentacles to try and snare him, but every time they came close he would just deconstruct them. This enraged the woman and she was struggling and pulling trying to lunge at him. This made her slowly tear away from the pillar, causing the whole building to tremble as it seemed to be part of her. With a final pull, she broke free and pounced towards him by propelling herself with her tentacles.

She managed to jump right on him, which made them both fall to the ground. Her tentacles wrapped tightly around him, binding him to the floor. Her massive breasts were on his chest as she leaned forward to bite him.

Matt, used his ability to deconstruct the tentacles holding one of his arms at that moment and grabbed the woman by the neck. In the next instant, her head was rolling away on the floor as it was severed from her neck. Her body twitched a few times before falling forward, causing her breasts to land on his face.

He appreciated the softness then pushed her body away and began to deconstruct it since it seemed that removing her head would not fully kill her. Her body wiggled a few more times before disintegrating into nothing. He did the same to her head since it continued to blink even after the body was gone. It seemed that the whole building had become her body so she wouldn't truly be dead until the whole building was brought down.

With the main problem out of the way, he then made his way over to the blood pillar that still remained. Placing his hand on the pillar, his energy began to spread out into the building turning the red building blue as designs began to take shape on its exterior. When the whole building was finally covered, it began to collapse in on itself from the roof down. It turned into particles that were being swiftly sucked away to a single spot of light.

His team was watching this happen since they had already mopped up the remaining infected to include the level three. When the light finally died down, they saw Matt's glowing figure standing where the building once was. He glanced around at the number of dead infected and nodded with satisfaction.

"Lets clean this area up and head back to the settlement." Matt said.

The rest noticed that he looked tired and his face was a little flushed like he had been drinking. They simply nodded and gathered up the copses into a pile on top of each other so that he could deconstruct them all in one go. The amount of infected wiped out in this four hour mission would total to almost two thousand infected since they continued to pour out of the hive while they fought. With all the corpses gathered, Matt deconstructed them and they began on their way back to the settlement.

Matt went to rest while being guided by Morgan since he was swaying unsteadily at this point. He seemed to have become drunk on his own power since he had absorbed so much energy. James, Chris, and Kate went to report about the hive and the horde surrounding it while the day was drawing to a close.
