I was stunned. "I got all this information just for 100 fp? That is much more than what the previous upgrade did."

I was so happy that I stopped walking and did a small victory dance. Yuzzem pretended that they didn't see it and I was grateful later on but at that moment I didn't care what others thought about me.

Once I celebrated enough I started to think deeper about what the system was displaying.

I started with my affinity. I could tell the reason for two of my affinities. First one was nature. This one was easy. I surely got it because this body was created by the god of nature and a piece of his power affected gave the power to control nature.

The second one I could tell the reason behind was darkness. I was actually simple. I wanted yuzzem to be stealth masters, move in the darkness unnoticed. I wanted them to be black so they could easier blend with it. Not talking about the color of their claws which is also black. It makes little sense that their god has the ability to control it.

The last affinity was a pickle to me. Fire? I had no relation to it. In the end, I guessed that it was the affinity of my body.

It was fine that I had these affinities but I told myself that they are useless if I don't know any spell or incantations.

From all new things, the system displayed were advanced possibilities of upgrading the most useful.

Now I knew my possibilities.

I could follow the path of showing more stats or I could finally get some active ability such as inspection or I could start upgrading my own body with the manipulation with affinity upgrade. Sadly the last upgrade had astronomically high price. It would take me months to be able to afford it. I had to choose another way.

The inspection seemed fine but couldn't get rid of the feeling that it will be a scam and I would be forced to upgrade it few more times after I unlock in order to get some useful version of inspection.

I guess I will go for the physical stats then. If this upgrade show at least more options of the upgrade of the system, it was worth the cost.

I finished deciding my path of upgrading and went to look at the wounded yuzzem. It would give me some respect from yuzzem if they discover that I care about them. I was also curious about how the mages would handle this situation.

I was deep in my thoughts so I wasn't paying much attention to the road I was taking and almost ended up caught in the mud. Thank god (by whom I meant me) I realized my mistake the moment one of my legs started to sink so I quickly freed it and backed away.

I arrived at the place where was reported the attack. Mages were both already here as well as three guards. They were in a circle around the wounded yuzzem.

His brown fur on the chest was stained red from blood flowing from his wound on his neck and shoulders. He was sitting on the ground partially supported by root and heavily breathing.

It didn't seem good. From the red pool on the ground, I could say that he had lost a big amount of blood.

The moment I saw this I was shocked how serious the situation was.

I ran to the wounded and quickly looked at the mages if they knew what to do. But they were only helplessly looking at him and didn't know what to do.

This was a critical situation. I couldn't afford to loose a single follower. My instincts gained from all those safety courses and sitcoms involving doctors. "Get me clean water and bandages from my bag," I shouted and started to try to stop the bleeding by wrapping it in my shirt. I didn't help much with the state of the yuzzem but at least it stopped the main stream of blood. Yuzzem quickly started to carry out my orders.

I was pressing the wound to stop the bleeding as much as possible and I was whispering to myself again and again "C'mon. Hold on. Just a little longer." Small drops of blood were oozing from the cloth in my hands. His breathing got heavier. I thought he would never make it but finally, somebody brought back the bandages and water.

I immediately washed the wound and grabbed bandages and applied them on the wound. I didn't know what I was aiming for because it was obvious that it was already too late for a simple bandage to help.

The moment I realized it is too late to save him a miracle happened. The bandage started to glow with a green light. After a moment leaves and vines erupted from the cloth. They wrapped his body into a green cocoon which slightly glowed.

I was very confused. "What just happened? Does it heals him?"

I stood up and looked at the cocoon. "Have I just accidentally cast my first spell? Let me check it." I opened system "Nope, it wasn't me." The confusion was growing. "Maybe it is some parasitic plant which grew from his body..... No, It wouldn't wrap him like a kebab but rather grow upwards so it could get more sunlight."

There weren't any movements. It was dormant.

I could smell a thick blood odor in the air. That wasn't good neither for the present yuzzem and me nor for the whole group. Blood attracts predators. We can't risk another wounded.

I picked up the cocoon and walked forward to our camp. "Cover the stench of the blood," I said and without looking back went to find a place where I would leave the wounded(hopefully).

*After few minutes*

As I started to go up on the first root which served as an only entrance I felt slight movement from who I was carrying. My heart was full of joy. I looked up to the sky "Mafl if it was you who enchanted these bandages to do what just happened then I sincerely thank you."

As I'm looking up I'm once again astonished by the speed of yuzzem. The second hut was already finished and now there were even a few small bridges between branches, few small platforms and there was slowly taking shape large oval platform.

I guessed it was the square which Bob designed. It was higher than the second hut but not much. It had approximately 10 meters in radius. The main material used for it were leaves, ivy, reed, and pieces of wood. Just as for all other buildings in our camp.

I took the wounded yuzzem to the second hut and laid him on the ground. Then I caught one yuzzem and ordered him to make a pile of leaves and let it be used as a bed for recovery.

At this time one mage came in and was almost terrified that I will punish him for his failure. I just waved him off because I knew that it wasn't his fault that he has never dealt with a serious injury or any injury at all. In the end, he was just 5 days old.

....

Eren woke up and discovered that he had the worst hangover in his entire life. Extra to that he was flying in the back seat on griffin in very high altitude and he had no idea how he got there. He groaned and vomited over the side of the griffin.

"You're finally awake. Good." sounded from the front seat. "I really feel sorry for you. The first day in the army and you are already sent to fight."

Eren was shocked. "What? I was in my town celebrating acceptance as a novice by a local mage. How can I be in the army?" He was clueless about what was going on.

"Don't tell me you are one of those guys who got drunk in an inn and were tricked into the army by a recruiter." the griffin rider asked.

"I don't remember." Eren wanted to answer but instead of that threw once again content of his stomach over the side of the griffin.

"I will take it as yes," said the rider laughing and added "By the way, my name is Larry. What's yours?"

"Eren Faust," Eren answered.

"Oh, a young man is noble." Said Larry with a surprised tone.

"Yes, but from declining and poor noble family. Aside from the surname I'm no different than you," said Eren and held his head to overcome the growing pain in his head. Then continued" Can you tell me please where are we going?"

"Oh, I forgot to tell it to you. We have to carry out an assault," said Larry leisurely like it was nothing.

"What?!! I'm no warrior. I don't even know how to use a sword!!!" Eren started to panic.

He was rapidly moving in his seat. This made the griffin nervous and it had resentfully growled on Eren. This forced him to calm down.

Larry sympathetically looked at Eren and started to comfort him. "Don't worry newbie. We are only going to harras those undead armies from above and once they sent something against us we retreat. Nothing dangerous."

Eren started to take deep breaths to calm himself. It took him some time during which the duo didn't speak. The only advantage of this situation was that the adrenaline caused by the news eased the hangover.

After some time Eren got brave enough to ask "How are we going to attack from the air? I don't see you carrying any boulders to drop on them."

Larry sincerely laughed." No, we won't do that. The one who is gonna do all the killing is you. I'm taking care of griffin and spotting the enemies in the air."

Eren didn't seem to be satisfied with the answer. " How am I going to be killing them?"

"God damn you, newbie, don't you have a brain? You are mage!!! You are going to throw spells at them!!!"
