Chapter Five: Mysterious cave!

As I walk out the city gates, I start to think.

'Where do I go now? I guess, back to the forest?'

As I appear at the entrance of the forest, I hear a scream. Running towards it's direction, I see a group of about 20 people, most likely all of them cultivators, all standing outside of a cave, frowning.

"Ah, there goes another one! This time it's Senior sister Li Xiu Ying! Well, I guess she lived up to her name! She was really elegant and brave!"

"Hmm, I guess you are right!"

Walking up to one of the cultivators, I ask.

" Hey, senior brother! Can you tell me whats going on? I just got here!"

"Hmm? Okay, junior brother! You see that cave! Well, there is an Arachnid Queen in there that we are trying to kill, but everyone is afraid to go in!"

" Hmm, hmm! Thank you for the information senior brother!"

"Your welcome! Junior brother!"

Thinking about all of the people that died in the cave by the Arachnid Queen, I start to get excited! Why am I excited? Well, it's obvious! All of the cultivators that died in their definitely had treasure on them! Thinking this, I walk up to the cave and am about to go in, when the senior brother that I talked to earlier walks up to me, and says.

"Junior Brother! Your going In?"

"Yes, Senior Brother! Think about all of the treasure in their from the people that died!"

Hearing this, he nods, and says.

"Hmmm, that is true,Junior brother! How about we go in together! My name is Li Wei!"

"My name is Shang Fu! Come! Let's enter!"

As we walk into the, the farther we go, the more bones and skeletons we see, and the smells get worse.

Hearing a noise from above me, I look up, only to see a group of 3 body tempering stage 2 spiders.

Seeing that their position has been given away, they jump at us, and as they fall, they spit out a weird green liquid.

"Sssssss."

Looking towards where the green liquid hit, I see a skeleton that was there start to dissolve.

"Senior brother Li Wei! The green liquid they spit out is acid! Be careful!"

"Got it!"

He says, as he also jumps out of the way, and slashes with his sword, successfully cutting the spider that attacked him cleanly in half, but quickly lets go of his sword, seeing it get covered by acid.

Seeing what happened to his sword, I take my war hammer and infuse it with Nature Energy and smash one of the unlucky spiders head in. Luckily, the acid only caused the Nature Energy surrounding the war hammer to dim a bit, but didn't go through.

"Senior brother! Above you!"

I say as the last spider jumps at Li Wei from above, with it's mouth wide open, teeth dripping with acid, and right when it was about to bite him, he took a yellow talisman out of his pocket, chanted a few words, threw it at the spider, and after making sure to get as far away as he possibly could, he said.

"Explode!"

The talisman suddenly lit up in a bright white light, and exploded, killing the spider and causing the cave to shake.

As I look at the explosion in awe, Li Wei comes up to me.

"Are you okay?"

"Hmm, yes, im fine! But, I have a question. What was that?! Can I have some?"

"That was an Explosion Talisman. There not that expensive. Here, have some, I have plenty."

"Thanks!"

I say, as he hands me three explosion talismans, which I carefully put away in my pocket.

As I walk further into the cave, I stop, as I see, in the corner, a small, blue, bag.

Walking over to the bag, I pick it up, and when Li Wei sees it, his eyes immediately light up, as he says.

"Nice find, Junior brother!"

"Uhhm? What do you mean? This is just a bag?"

Hearing me, Li Wei staggers, and says.

"What do I mean? Do you not know what a Bag of holding is? Well, bags of holding are basically just a worse version of a spatial ring. The space they can hold varries, but usually it's only a 5 by 5 space. They are pretty expensive though! Even some clans might not be able to afford one!"

Hearing that, I quickly inspect the insides of the bag of holding. Inside, I see two swords, a small stack of 50 gold coins, a map, and a 26 year old Blood Ginsing!

Taking out 25 of the coins, I hand them to Li Wei, who only shakes his head, and says.

"Junior brother, I don't need money. Look, do you see what this is?"

He says, as he lifts up his hand. On his finger lies a blue ring, and remembering what he said earlier, I gasp.

"Spatial Ring!"

"Correct! See? Now do you think I need money?"

Putting the money and my bag into the Bag of Holding, I start to go deeper into the cave, with Li Wei following behind me.

As we go deeper, the cave starts to widen, and not long after, we come across a large, wide open room, with multiple skeletons and newly dead bodies scattered around, some holding weapons, some holding talismans.

"Senior brother, said that there was something called an Arachnid Queen in this cave, right? What does it look like?"

"Hmmm, well, it's basically just a giant version of the spiders we saw before, but im guessing that this one is a mutant, seeing as its children can shoot out acid even though they aren't supposed to."

Right when he finished speaking, a giant green spider falls down from the roof and lands right in front of us. Taking out my war hammer, im about to charge at it, when Li Wei stops me.

"Junior brother, wait, that Arachnid Queen is at body tempering fourth stage, one stage above us, so we have to come up with a plan to defeat it."

"Right! How about this, I'll distract it and make it follow me until it's underneath one of those stalactites, then you'll throw one of your explosion talismans at it. Got it?"

"Got it!"

I nod towards him, than run at the Arachnid queen, who chases after while screeching and spitting it's acid at me, and when I think that eveything is going fine, the spiders speed doubles and starts to gain on me. Taking a risk, I stop and turn around and run at its legs. Taking an explosion talisman out of my bag of holding, I slap it on it's leg, but before I could dodge, it's leg strikes out at me and sends me flying. Mid flight, I cough up blood.

"Explode!"

I yell as my back slams against the cave wall, as I watch the talisman explode, taking three of the spiders legs with it. Seeing the spider get up, I start to run again, and after making sure that the Arachnid Queen is still chasing me, I smile, after noticing that it's speed has slowed down drastically. After a few minutes of chasing, I bring it under the stalactites, and after making sure that the timing is exactly right, I yell.

"Do it now!"

Hearing me, Li Wei takes out an explosion talisman and throws it at the stalactites, which causes about three of them to fall, impaling the Arcachnid Queen to the floor.

A few minutes later, after healing my wounds with Nature Energy, walk up to the Arachnid Queen to make sure that it's dead, when my Nature Energy sense goes off. After inspecting the spiders body, I find a small pouch that got impaled by one of its legs, and after looking through it, I smile.

Inside it are at least 50 different herbs that are at least 5 years old.

'I hit the jackpot!'
