76 Expansion of Hui Yuan Drink Store

After this brief interaction, Si Chen prepared to go back to his room for a change of his clothes, when the door to one of the rooms opened, and Yang Ran came out wearing her uniform, with an earphone within one of her ears.

Yang Ran paused at the door, then lifted her head while asking, "Why did you not go to school these few days?"

"I took a leave of absence because I was sick." Si Chen stopped for a moment to look at her, while involuntarily glancing at the time.

"You might as well take one too, if you go to school during this time every single day." Si Chen languidly commented, then continued walking to his room's door.

"If you always skip school, you will fall behind in your studies and fail the High School National Examination." Yang Ran took a meaningful glance at Si Chen while commenting with a rather strange tone of voice.

If not for Si Chen's almost imperceptible indifferent nod of his head, one would have thought that he didn't hear her words.

Yang Ran's expression turned heavy, and she seemed like she was deliberating something difficult, until she finally spoke up, "I can teach you in school!"

Si Chen's hands paused at the door for a second, before he impassively replied, "No need."

He nonchalantly entered his room, and it was only until the door to his room closed with a slight thump sound, that Yang Ran wrestled her gaze away from it.

Placing both her hands on her cheeks, she wondered why she had just said that, while leaving the apartment with a slightly downcast expression. After a while, she shook the thoughts away from her head and reverted back to her normal expression. The sound of pop music entered her right ear as she walked away, filling up her mind.

A while later, Si Chen walked out of the apartment with both his hands placed within his pockets.

Fall was closely approaching, and the weather was starting to see a few traces of refreshing cold.

As he walked along the streets to hail a cab, a few leaves were softly falling from the trees, silently floating onto the ground.

Looking at the cab that was approaching him, his thoughts wandered towards buying a car, but then quickly thought about the missions at hand.

Riding a cab wouldn't kill him anyways.

He arrived in one of the new branch shops of the Hui Yuan Drink Store in less than 20 minutes.

The location it was situated at was under District C.

As Yang Deng had informed him, the place was indeed crowded with people indeed. It was surprising how this store was just a mere branch shop that had only recently opened, judging by the numbers it was attracting.

He stayed on for a few minute to glance around and examine the new shop, which was designed in almost the same way as the main shop, with a few miniscule changes because of the land size differences.

The people who were queuing up were discussing about the Hui Yuan Drink Store drinks as usual, and even a few strangers were talking to each other for the first time, with their opening topic being how amazing their drinks felt.

The place was lively, and vibrant with life, an usual scene for the area around. A few people who had walked past the area looked at the Hui Yuan Drink Store in bewilderment, a slight curiosity at how good their drinks were to draw so many people into their store.

Clucking his tongue, he turned back to leave in a relaxed, carefree manner, with a slightly prideful smile hanging on his lips.

It was always great to see how his efforts were paying off.

After this trip, he then went to check out how the Crystalline Bubble Tea shop was doing. He had planned for both the Crystalline Bubble Tea shop and the Hui Yuan Drink Store to take the drink market by storm, and dominate the market.

Currently, the Hui Yuan Drink Store had already begun its rapid process of development and expansion, while the Crystalline Bubble Tea shop had not started to spread its wing out wide yet.

It was time to prioritize on the Crystalline Bubble Tea shop so that his plans will not fall through.

As usual, he saw a small queue standing outside the entrance, while the insides were packed with people.

However, he noticed that there was a slight deviation today, where a group of people were huddling together around one person while pointing and talking amongst themselves.

Arching his eyebrows, he casually strode within the shop to take a closer look and find out what was happening, and was slightly surprised to find the live streamer that he had invited to the Seafood Restaurant quite a time ago, was now within the store promoting their drinks.

Then, he laughed at himself inwardly as he remembered asking Yang Deng to inform her on his intentions to hire her to promote the Crystalline Bubble Tea shop.

Since he had last checked, if his memory wasn't failing him, she now had around 120k in fans. She had achieved this sum by working on the foundation she had built up during her live stream at the Seafood Restaurant, along with her impressive talent in effective and engaging communication skills.

There was that other live streamer that had opposed the Seafood Restaurant during the food poisoning incident, but after the Seafood Restaurant had rose up at an unstoppable pace, while gaining itself a considerable portion of loyal fans, she probably had fallen from grace.

"And that is all that we have for today! The drinks here are really fantastic, and I seriously recommend for all of you to come out and try them out! Lastly, I would like to thank all my fans for being out there for me! Thank you very much!" Yu Ran slightly bowed her head while sincerely thanking them, her smile so bright that it was even faintly dazzling.

After she had cut off the live stream, her face still hung that same bright, warm smile that will naturally evoke pleasant and amiable feelings from the people around her.

As she stood up from her seat and prepared to leave, she did not forget to talk with the fans which had surrounded her, talking to each of them in a humble and friendly manner.

Si Chen looked at her from the corner of the shop with an appreciative expression on his face. He liked these sort of people who were always down-to-earth, and did not adopt overly arrogant bearings because of their superiority in fame and status.

It was a breath of fresh air. Refreshing and unique.

He reminded himself to tell Yang Deng to raise up her pay for her appearance here, as part of this came from the respect that she had earned from him.

While Yu Ran was walking out of the shop after she had finished her interaction with her fans, she looked around the store as she wondered to herself, "When can I find that mysterious person and return the extra money that he had gave me?"

Her beautiful brows were slightly creased up as she wore a troubled expression. Who would have knew that the famed live streamer who was now one of the more famous person within the live streaming platform would be fretting about a bit of money which she could easily earn back in just a mere day?
