1 Hell.

Darkness. This is all that encircled a young man named Yuri who was currently dead. He was a professional lightweight boxer in life but that was only a public front. His real career was far more...unappealing. Yuri was the head enforcer for a large Yakuza group centered in Tokyo. Anyone that the Yakuza needed to be taken out, he would do it without hesitation. Rich or poor, old or young, he carried his orders out to the best of his ability on the unfortunate souls that wronged his bosses.

Outside of enforcing, Yuri was usually a very calm and collected young man. He was only about 31 years old at the time of his death so he had seen a good portion of the world. As one of the higher-ups in his Yakuza group, he was usually the quiet and stoic one that controlled all of his hot-headed subordinates. While not all of them were like that, a good few were. The reason he even got into this life was because his father was a Yakuza himself so he naturally introduced his son into it at a young age.

Killing people was easy for him as he remembered that one of the first things his father said to him when he was teaching him how to fight was, "When you're about to kill someone, don't look at them as human beings. Look at them as bugs that are about to be squashed." Of course, as a young boy, him hearing about the fact that he had to kill someone in the future shook him up quite a bit. He even hid from his father for a short while because he was afraid the day would come that he had to do so.

Naturally, he couldn't keep hiding for long as his father had thrown him into an underground fighting ring at the age of 16 that was sponsored by the Yakuza. After many years of training in Boxing and Karate, he had developed his own 'formless' style of fighting based on what he learned. That was also the age where his father pushed him to kill his first opponent. It was a hard-fought battle with an opponent that refused to go down and the only way the man was going to stop fighting was if Yuri killed him.

As he punched into the man's skull many times, tears were flowing madly out of his eyes. But he wasn't crying because he killed someone, he was crying because it felt so easy and he didn't even feel as bad as he thought he would. He felt like a monster, someone who didn't deserve to live among the human race. When he went home that night, there wasn't even any trauma or flashbacks to the scene, it was if he was made to kill. His father, of course, was extremely happy about this development.

Knowing that his son wasn't someone who was afraid of a "little murder" as he called it, he recommended that Yuri officially join the Yakuza in his place as he was getting too old to be an enforcer. And that is how Yuri's life as a gangster began. Over time he had gotten over his qualms about murder and he just stopped caring about it. Because of his training, using boxing as a front wasn't anything hard as had he climbed the ranks from amateur to world champion in less than a year. He was a man that just living life going through the motions like any normal human. When he wasn't enforcing or in the ring, he was just being a usual Japanese citizen, spending his free time watching anime and reading manga. It was a good way to disconnect from all the stress of the real world.

Yuri was also a man with many friends and he valued loyalty heavily. He would be particularly brutal with those who betrayed him or undercover cops that managed to sneak in and gain his trust. His father had taught him everything he needed to know, from basic education to street sense to "how to deal with fucking lowlifes". At least that's what his father referred to traitors as. It even turned out that his mother was an undercover cop that got "too deep" into the criminal underworld. When his father found out, he set her up and killed her immediately without even Yuri knowing until he was an adult. By that time, his mind had already matured so there was no reason for him to hate his father. He just found his mother's grave and paid respects as a good son should, going back to life as usual right after.

Even after all his experience with betrayal, it was that same exact monster that ended up killing him. While he was in a gang war with another set of Yakuza who had attacked their headquarters, his boss had gotten slightly injured and couldn't walk properly. Yuri, being the fiercely loyal man that he was shot the men who injured his boss and picked him up, putting his hand over his shoulder. The Boss was grateful and said with a smile on his face, "Yuri, I appreciate it! Now get us outta here and let's go back to headquarters. I can recover properly there."

Yuri nodded and walked carefully with his boss through gunfire and explosions back to the base as it wasn't far at all. But, when they got there, the door was shut tight, something that was very unusual for a Yakuza HQ, especially in a situation like this. That's when Yuri noticed that the gunshots had stopped. When he turned around, he saw the men from the opposing set and his comrades standing together, all of them pointing their guns at the duo.

Yasuo, the son of the boss, stepped to the forefront and said with a wicked smile on his face, "Sorry, Yuri, father. The two of you were just in the way of my success. I hope hell isn't too hard on you in the afterlife. Oh and Yuri, your father is going to be joining you soon enough." The boss was so distraught that he didn't even know what to say. As for Yuri, he drew his pistol and shouted furiously at Yasuo, saying, "YOU FUCKING LOW-" Shots started to be fired at the duo, killing them both immediately. That was how Yuri found himself in his current situation.

'Yasuo, if I ever find a way to reincarnate in this world with my memories intact, I'll slaughter you and your descendants brutally! I'll even teach my children and grandchildren to slaughter your own when I eventually pass away! Damn lowlife! If I had the strength, I would slaughter my way back down to earth and doom myself to hell just to kill you if I go to heaven. I would slaughter my way out of hell just to drag you down back with me! If only I noticed earlier! If only I wasn't so weak! World champion my ass!! Sigh, Yuri, calm down. Unless some miracle happens, I'm sure I'll just forget everything that happened. But taking this lying down, is just...sigh.'

Yuri stopped being furious about what happened and just laid there in the everlasting darkness, thinking about things that would calm him down. It was no use as "slaughtering his way through heaven and hell" was only something he would see in fiction. In reality, such things were nothing more than pipe dreams. Suddenly, he felt his "being" or whatever was left of it being dragged down by a powerful suction force and he felt himself being grabbed by a large hand.

Then the scenery changed as the darkness pulled back itself revealing an unending pit of flames. A normal person would typically start to freak out by now but Yuri wasn't expecting anything less. He knew that he wasn't a good man so he wasn't expecting to be treated like one in the afterlife. Suddenly, a voice penetrated into his being, causing Yuri to look behind him in surprise.

"T-that is where you will stay for eternity if you don't agree to my demands."

When Yuri turned around, he saw a giant dark figure that looked like it was made out of shadows standing there. It had claws, red eyes, and numerous horns protruding out of its head. Even in this bright place lit with powerful flames, the amount of darkness this figure exuded caused the light itself to shy away from him. Yuri was shocked as he had never seen something that looked so evil before in his entire life but as usual, he kept his composure.

He said in a questioning tone, "Now what could I possibly do for you? I'm dead, essentially powerless. I'm surprised I can even talk or hear or even feel at this point." The devil that was staring down at him was seemingly injured and Yuri noticed this as it had one hand clutching its chest. It's voice even sound strained when it spoke the first time. But that didn't stop it from laughing loudly when it heard Yuri's response. It then said in a proud tone, "Call me Sparda and as you can see, I'm a devil. The head one of this realm at that. The only reason you are able to communicate is because I lent you some of my power so you can speak. You are indeed right, you are powerless and dead. But, from your attitude and from the fact that there isn't any fear in your heart from seeing me, you wouldn't be for long."

Yuri was dumbfounded as from what Sparda had just said, death wasn't the end of his destiny. Of course, he wanted to know more but he didn't forget what Sparda had said the first time. Responding calmly once again, Yuri said, "...you already have my interest peaked. But what are these demands that you want me to fulfill? I'm sure all of your 'goodwill' doesn't come without a price."

Sparda laughed once again and responded, "Exactly, it does not. As you can see, im injured. The gods have finally had enough of me slaughtering them so they decided to come at me with full force. I killed most of them but they still managed to injure me. I imagine if I stay here, I'll be found out soon enough so I decided to find a soul that I can take refuge in so I can regain my power. I could only snatch one soul without being noticed and luckily enough, I got one that wasn't bad at all."

Yuri then continued curiously, "So you're saying that to say?"

With his evil smile becoming even wider, Sparda said, "Of course, that means I happily choose you. By hiding in your soul, you'll effectively become a devil yourself and you'll be able to communicate with me at all times. As for what my demands are, I want you to kill. Kill humans, animals, and most wonderfully, gods. Everything that you kill will add to our power, making us stronger and speeding up my recovery. All their souls will be absorbed by us. You'll eventually become a devil that just slaughters everything in sight and you'll lose your entire being to me. If you manage to not lose your sense of self, something interesting might happen. What do you think?"

Yuri started to laugh wildly as he never imagined in his most outlandish dreams that he would be able to do something of this sort in reality. He didn't even need to think twice, as he just readily agreed. "Hell yes."

Sparda then said gleefully, "Good. Now hurry, I'll use my remaining power to grant you three requests that you can use in your new life. As you kill, our power will increase and I will gift you a few more abilities as a reward. You will also choose a world to reincarnate in as I am linked to every realm in existence. Lastly, you can take some liberties in your requests as even though I am injured, my power is still vast."

As a man who enjoyed fighting and loathed his own powerlessness, he didn't take long to choose at all.

"For the world, I choose Baki. For my first request, I want to be reincarnated as a saiyan named Broly. But not just the normal one. He has to be an Ancient version of him and it will be a combination of both brolys. Of course, I wouldn't be able to use the power called Ki in this world because it doesn't exist. Secondly, I want to be reborn as a mixture of a Hanma and a Kure. Lastly, I want the knowledge of all martial arts from God Of High School."

Sparda shook his head in approval and said, "Good choice, we can start our slaughter early in such a barbaric world. When I join with you, we will find ourselves reincarnated immediately."

Yuri nodded and prepared himself mentally as he didn't want his excitement to get too much of him. He then said, "Sparda, even though we are doing this, don't think I trust you for a second. If I wake up and find myself in that pit of fire with you laughing at my naivety, I wouldn't be surprised at all."

Sparda then responded nonchalantly, "Good, I would be disappointed if you did."

...

Sometime later, a baby is taken out of the womb of a dying mother in a hidden temple located in Japan. A tall man could be seen standing right next to the woman with a wicked smile on his face. His red hair was flowing gracefully even though there was no wind blowing, no animals could be found in a few hundred meters of the temple because the predator at the top of the food chain had made his presence known. Naturally, this man was Yujiro. As he looked at his son that was just born, he could feel his heart pumping wildly. This boy was for sure someone that was born to be at the top, someone born to take Yujiro's place as the strongest creature in the world. Snatching the baby out of the midwife's hands, Yujiro looked at the body and noticed that he already had a full head of hair. Even the boy's red eyes were already open, staring at Yujiro intently.

Clicking the baby on his head, Yujiro said proudly, "Even as a child you can look at me eye to eye! Hahaha! Good! I'll take care of you myself! When you're at the peak of your strength, I'll devour you whole!" He then looked back at the mid-wife who was cowering in fear and at the now-dead mother of the boy.

"You both did well. I already know that this will be a good one."

He then walked out of the temple and into one forest, already formulating plans in his mind on how he would raise his new son. Yujiro then realized that he hadn't named the boy yet and after a few minutes of thought he came up with one that suited him perfectly.

"Boy, your name will be Akira. Own it well and let it be known all across the world!"
