97 Chapter 97. David's aksi: Arcus Nebula

Leo's voice emotionlessly sounded from behind his back.

'What?!' a shocked expression appeared on Nazar's face as he slowly turned his head around and saw Leo's silhouette behind him. A cold smile on his face as he condescendingly looked at him like the grim reaper. A black opaque flame was furiously burning on Leo's fist radiating a terrifying amount of killing intent.

Nether God's Nihility Fist!

Bvvvv!

And before he could force any words out of his mouth, Leo's fist had struck out and punched out straight on the back of his chest.

Immediately, a disastrous scene occurred as Nazar's body seemed to explode into bits as a large ball of dark red, spanning about twenty meters wide and ten meters deep, appeared on the place where he stood and a disastrous shockwave appeared emanating from it.

"Dust... That is all what we ultimately are," Leo's voice whispered with a deep lonely tone as the dark red ball of destruction slowly faded. The large red ball of destruction had left a huge crater on the ground and white smoke slowly rose from the crater as the ground seemed have been cleared up by a huge burning red shovel.

Leo's eyes slowly returned to it's original color of gold and black along with his hair. On his face was an extremely casual expression as he now began looking around, 'Now how do I get out of here?'

Rumble!

The ground where Leo was standing suddenly shook vigorously, alarming him as the fog suddenly moved closer to him, reaching within a meter from him and the ground suddenly stopped shaking and the scent in the air changed from odorless to a strong smell of blood.

"I'm back," Leo spoke to himself as the fog slowly cleared. And as it cleared, shock appeared on his face as his eyes glanced at the scene in front of him.

Roar! Caw!

Countless beasts about the same amount as the one from the previous beast fog were standing in front of him facing towards the Lapis lines. The tall wall of fog had disappeared and was replaced by the sight of a multitude of an army of Ruby soldiers along with beasts side by side that were currently charging straight towards the Lapis lines.

"I need to stop this immediately!" Leo exclaimed as he immediately used shadow eight steps and climbed up the cliff.

'There's a distance of five kilometers between the Ruby lines and the Lapis lines. The people at the very front are about a kilometer away.' Leo spoke to himself as he realized how drastic the situation way for them.

"This is so much harder than I thought..." Leo spoke to himself before sighing and jumping down from the cliff.

Leo then walked across the battlefield where he had just killed countless Ruby soldiers with David's aksi and seemed to be searching for something as he walked by countless bodies as his eyes scanned around the scene.

'This should do,' Leo thought as he picked up a sturdy looking sword that was in such a bad condition.

"Grandpa... I think this would be an adequate place to try this out..." Leo spoke with a nostalgic smile as he reminisced back to the second year at the Decan clan

...

Leo and Aurora was standing at the shore of the pond and he held out his sword in front of him, trying to feel and gather as much energy in the sword as he could.

"Grandpa, is this the strongest art that the Decan clan has?" Leo asked Alfred who was lying under the shade of the cherry blossom tree.

"Indeed Leo," Alfred replied nonchalantly.

"But it's only a low purple ranked art..." Aurora argued with a confused tone.

"Haha! David's aksi is a lightning art but it can be easily configured to suit other elemental attributes. That's what makes it special. Our clan used to be a noble clan that was only second to the Royal family but we fell due to most of the clansmen being unable to learn this art. We kept falling until my grandfather, your great ancestor was the one who changed the art and made it a lightning art. This made it a lot more easier to the clansmen to train in," Alfred explained as he sat up and rested his hand on his knee.

"Whoa! We were able to rival the Royal family with just this art?" Leo asked with amazement.

"Yep!" Alfred replied with a smile as he stood up and walked to the shore, "But what the clansmen do not know is that the art used to be a red grade art."

"What!?" Aurora exclaimed in shock. Both Leo and her had never seen a red grade before and they had already taken out a large sect. While this seemed small, it was something that Aurora secretly held quite proudly.

"Leo! Aurora!" Alfred called out to Leo.

"Yes?" Leo answered immediately.

"You were both born with impressive talent and the both of you have incredible perception. I will show the most perfected form of David's aksi which should be comparable to a peak purple art. It will rest upon your generation to try and improve this art and I hope that one day we will be able to restore the art back to its peak," Alfred instructively spoke as he brought out a sword and raised it up high.

"I will not fear when tens of thousands assail me on every side..." Alfred chanted as he closed his eyes and immediately a large amount of energy began to gather on his sword as a hazy starry looking cloud formed above the sword and it seemed to come from the skies itself.

...

"You did not know what came after but knew that it was a three parted chant. But now I do," Leo spoke to the grandpa in his mind and he began raising his sword until it pointed straight to the sky.

Leo slowly took a deep breath... 'This will be my first time using this art.'

"I will not fear when tens of thousands assail me on every side..." Leo chanted and the same identical scene occurred as the swords began to grow hazy and small sparkles that resembled stars appeared above the sword, quickly condensing to form a thin single pillar like cloud.

"My enemies turn back; they stumble and perish," Leo added and immediately...

Rumble!

The thin cloud immediately grew to larger but more transparent as more stars appeared in the cloud and it began to take a myriad gradient of colors, creating an incredibly beautiful scene.

The energy in the area began to condense around Leo as Leo's sword began to glow with a deadly electric blue aura.

"I need to put in more energy!" Leo shouted in his head as he realized that this art needed a lot more energy than he had thought to execute, even with his abnormal energy reserves in his body, this art was about to take out about fifty percent, the last remaining remnants of his energy.

"General!" a soldier in the front lines suddenly turned around and saw the large hazy cloud in the far distance behind them and could not help but call out to the general.

"Wha-" the blonde haired general immediately turned around and before he could ask his question, it had already been answered. From such a distance, he could not tell who was initiating the art but he could immediately tell that it was an art. There was an omnipresent feeling of danger as the cloud began to darken to a misty black and various regions of the cloud began to glow with a myriad of fluorescent colors.

"I hope the Lapis men have all retreated just how I told Vanessa to- Ackh!" Leo spoke and mid-sentence he suddenly coughed a mouthful of blood as he had over drained his energy reserves.

"It's time..." Leo whispered to himself as he had a nonchalant expression on his face and he immediately brought the sword downwards heavily in a slash and the sword immediately cracked as it firmly lodged itself in the floor. The pillar like cloud then tilted towards the Ruby lines and fell. And from the point where the sword landed onwards. An incredibly darkness filled the ground as a loud rumbles struck. The cloud seemed to continued falling until it was horizontal, at this point it had covered the whole five kilometers and was no longer as thick as before but it coated over all of the Ruby army and the beasts.

"David's aksi: Arccus Nebula!"

Immediately, the cloud descended on the beings under it and countless bolts of lightning spanned out from the cloud as a cacophony of screams and roars of despair, pain, and suffering sounded out. And just as the whole cloud descended on the ground...

Boom!

An incredibly loud explosion sounded as a the whole of no man's land was lit up in a bright thick starry clouded explosion.

"Ack! I can't maintain it any longer..." Leo coughed up another mouthful of blood before he fell unconscious and passed out.

As soon as he did, the place where the explosion happened changed completely, not having anyone to control or operate it to continue exploding, the energy suddenly dissipated and cause a very special natural occurrence in the sky, an Aurora Borealis that spanned across the whole battlefield for a few minutes before disappearing.
