93 Chapter 93. Killing Cloud makes appearance

A tall silhouettes stood about a hundred meters from the fog as beasts swarmed out, now numbering to almost four hundred thousand.

Leo took a slow deep breath inwards as he looked ahead of him. Screams of countless men sounded as they were bitten to death by the many countless beasts.

His mind deep fell into a meditative state as he closed his eyes and brought out his simple sword and pulled it out from it's sheath and placing it vertical right in front of his head.

"I am fighting to protect my loved ones. I fight to ensure their safety," Leo mumbled to himself as he picture all his loved ones in his head.

Leo then placed his sword on his hip as he bent his legs and prepared for a diagonal slash.

Small pulses off red energy occurred as the sword was covered in black.

"All Lapis soldiers!" Leo shouted as loud as he could, alerting all soldiers and magical beasts around as they subconsciously stopped all their attacks as he did not want to hurt the Lapis soldiers in his attack.

"Retreat now!" Leo shouted again as he began building a large amount of energy on his sword.

The Lapis soldiers had all seen how bleak the situation was for them and seeing a peak refinement realm expert appear, they all ran backwards as they hoped that Leo would be able to do something.

"Good," Leo smiled as he saw that the soldiers were listening to him, "I'll have to switch the trajectory a bit."

As he said this, Leo switch the angle at which he was holding his sword. His sword being coated in enough energy, Leo silently struck out as the sword created a dark horizontal arc slash.

A noiseless black arc swing outwards as it hovered over the ground. Seeing the sword arc, all soldiers subconsciously ran to the side to avoid the sword arc.

A brave beast suddenly ran out, not seeming to care as it ran straight towards the arc, almost trying to show it's strength.

But as it rushed towards the sword arc, it was suddenly cleaved in half as blood spurted everywhere as it was cleaved in half horizontally, a look of shock was present in it's eyes as it did not know how it died.

Shock appeared in all the people's faces as they stared in shock. How did that sword attack managed to cleave a beast directly in half? Not even one of the soldiers were able to defeat the beasts in one blow, let alone kill it.

Their shock soon intensified as the arc continued, sweeping across the battlefield, killing thousands of beasts in one swoop, cleaving them all in half.

And just like that, in less than five seconds, about three thousand beasts had been killed in that instant. Looks of reverence and fear appeared on all the soldiers as they blankly looked at the blood-filled sight of the countless beasts before looking back at Leo.

'Hmm... Why does he look so similar?' one of the soldiers thought curiously as he found Leo's silhouette very familiar.

"It's him!" he exclaimed as he smacked himself in the head.

"Who is he?" the soldier next to him asked curiously as he did not know who the hell Leo was.

"He is the guardian angel of the Lapis army. He was the one who saved everyone back then. His name is 'Killing Cloud,'" the man answered. Immediately, disbelief appeared on their faces as Leo's name spread through the soldiers as countless questions were asked about his identity.

Was he the Lapis army's secret weapon? Why did he only save people and not kill anyone before when he had this much strength?

Seeing this sight, all the beasts suddenly seemed to turn enraged and went into berserk more as they all vengefully looked at Leo and they all began to charge at him.

However, Leo's main attention was on the soldiers right now, seeing all the injured people he loudly shouted, "Get all the injured and get them to the doctors! The rest of you spread out and form the largest horseshoe shape you are able to make around me!"

Immediately, all the soldiers moved as they had been fighting without a leader, seeing Leo take out a couple thousand beasts, he was clearly worthy to lead them right now. And they instantly began doing this. About a hundred thousand men were sent to retrieve injured men while the other two hundred thousand formed into a giant horseshoe formation behind Leo.

"Now, everyone will help each other. I want you all to hold the hand of the person next to you!" Leo loudly shouted as he ran forward, sending any weapon that he found lying on the battlefield flying towards the beasts, killing five or six with each throw, kick and punch as he temporarily blocked the beasts from reaching the soldiers.

'What is he going to do?' all the soldiers asked curiously as they all stared at Leo with confusion. Never in their wildest dreams would they imagine themselves holding a person's hand during a war.

Confused but nevertheless, they all obeyed and firmly held each other's hands as the human chain spanned about ten kilometers.

"Let's make one of my new benefits to good use," Leo whispered to himself as he retreated backwards towards the soldiers.

He quickly ran towards the a young handsome blonde soldier who was standing in the front.

"Close your eyes," he spoke as he loudly instructed, "Everyone! Now I want all of you to infuse all the energy in your body into your hands!"

Immediately, all the soldiers obeyed and they all began to glow as the energy in the area began concentrating up as they passed their energy towards the their hands.

"This will be more than enough," Leo spoke with a smile as he raised his hand and bit his pinky finger, forcing it to cut open as blood slowly dripped from it. He then raised his other hand and used it to push down on the pinky, bending it.

"Everyone! Trust me and keep your hands firm! Otherwise you will all die!"

Snap!

Boom!

A ferocious amount of killing intent appeared from Leo's body, immediately Leo placed his hand on the blonde soldier's shoulders, infusing his killing intent to the man's head and this quickly spread like lightning through the rest of the soldiers in a few seconds body.

Immediately, as the killing intent reached everyone's body, they all suddenly stopped moving as their arms suddenly raised and placed in front of themselves just like Leo.

"Let's see if it worked," Leo mumbled as he turned around, and he made a few hand signs, "Activate! Blood infusion: Mental link!"

Immediately, all the soldier suddenly spasmed as a weird changed occurred in all of them.

"I have only a minute, I need to make this quick," Leo hurriedly spoke as he began making a series of hand seals.

And as he moved his hands, all the two hundred thousand soldiers all followed his movements as they copied the hand signs.

"Haha... This is really badass," Leo spoke as he arrogantly smiled as he took in a deep breath as he completed the hand signs, taking in as much air as he possibly could.

Elementless Poison Fog!

Immediately, all two hundred thousand soldiers breathed out at once as a dark purple smog was blown out from their mouth. The purple fog ferociously expanded outwards as it grew to a towering height of fifty meters as it quickly grew to the height of the beast fog and then it moved forward reaching the countless magical beasts.

Almost instantly, as the purple fog swallowed up the beasts, roars and shrieks of pain sounded through the thick, opaque purple cloud.

Immediately, Leo broke his art as and quickly dashed around the smoke and made his way towards the other side of the light blue clouds. The poison art wouldn't last for long. He had to eliminate the source as quickly as possible.

"Huh?" the soldiers all suddenly gained control of their body again. And even before they could consider what had just happened to them, they saw a large giant fog of purple. Immediately, some even began to run backwards while others stared at it weirdly.

"Guys! Do you guys hear that?"

"What?"

"I hear it too! It sounds like the beasts are in pain!"

"Where did this fog come from?"

"It must be from Senior Killing Cloud!" one of the soldiers suddenly spoke.

Immediately, all the soldiers agreed as that was the only probable answer that they currently had as they all seemed to had lost their sense for a minute and as it returned, Leo had disappeared.

"Hahaha! Let it be known! The name of Senior Killing Cloud! The savior of the Lapis Kingdom who saved the whole army from defeat!" countless men began to chant Leo's name as they all began to realized that no beasts had made it past the purple fog.
