91 Chapter 91. Nightkiss's entrance, Leo's arrival

Morning quickly came as the dawning sun broke the darkness. Every soldier and reinforcement of the Lapis army were up and standing a hundred meters away from thein their formations as they stood with their armor and weapons on. Each and everyone one of them were told that this was the day that they would win the war.

Along the front lines was Wenella who was standing with her hand on a bow as she prepared to dash forward. Her only intent and plan was to rush and find Garrick and then take him and get hell out of the battlefield.

"Commander! Everyone is ready!" Zane loudly declared as he walked to Tyson who was leading the group.

Tyson gave him a small nod as he turned around and instructed the men, "Men! You will all follow your generals and we will attack them in five units! The three generals will take three units, one with me and the rest is for the mercenaries!"

"HooHooHoo," all soldiers loudly declared as they got their battle spirit ignited.

"I DON'T KNOW ABOUT YOU LOT BUT MY BLADE IS HUNGRY!" the commander shouted loudly as he led the soldiers and they all charged forward, roaring loudly.

Immediately, all Lapis soldiers began charging forward onto the Ruby frontlines and as they charged through they saw that the scene at the Ruby lines were exactly like they were told. Many Ruby soldiers were suddenly alarmed by the attack and shouted loudly, "Attack! The Lapis soldiers are here!"

Nevertheless, heartless as ever, all Lapis soldiers did not act merciful at all as they rushed forward killing everyone that they could see.

And the scene at the Ruby camp was not pretty as the blood of countless soldiers filled the grounds as they struggle for their lives. Such a surprise attack had them shocked to the core.

Wenella quickly dashed through the front lines and made her way to the center of the field. Dodging her way through as she approached towards the inner parts of the camp.

"Garrick!" she loudly shouted as she tried to call out to Garrick.

"I presume you are here for the tall axe using man," a voice called out.

Alarmed, Wenella immediately turned her head around and saw Xander standing there, looking at her with a look of interest.

"Where is he?" Wenella coldly asked as she kept her hand on her bow.

"You must be his partner?" Xander asked as he began walking forward towards Wenella.

"Where is he?" Wenella asked coldly as she pulled her out an arrow and loaded it onto her bow and pointed it towards Xander.

"Haha. I seem to have struck a nerve, what do you think? He is obviously dead," Xander mockingly spoke.

"You lying," Wenella replied coldly as her expression did not change as she hid her disbelief.

"Haha. Do you think we would have a use for keeping him alive? Look at the blood, it's too late for you to escape now," Xander commented as pointed towards a tent that was set up in the far center of the battlefield.

There was nothing too special about the tent but the weird thing was that there was a long trail of blood that went into it. And as Wenella follow the trail to see it's source, she saw that it was coming from the dead bodies of the soldiers.

"What is happening?" she asked as she had an extremely intense sense of foreboding.

"The scepter was always real, you guys have been played," Xander spoke as he charge forward and sent a punch towards her.

'Origin realm!' Wenella thought as she immediately put up her bow to shield herself from the punch.

Crack!

In one punch the bow was immediately destroyed and before she could react Xander had sent another punch striking her right on the abdomen, sending her flying back a few dozen meters.

"Men, that is the out layer of the camp defeated! Let us continue!" Tyson roared loudly as he proceeded to advance to the second layer of the camp but he was suddenly stopped by Zane who told him, "Commander, look at the blood."

Tyson immediately looked at where Zane was point and confusion appeared on his face, blood was pouring out from the dead bodies and it had gathered into a small stream that was flowing towards the inner layer of the camp.

Toot!

Suddenly, a loud bell sounded as countless Ruby soldiers appeared, surrounding them.

"Haha! Welcome," a haughty voice sounded as the Ruby commander stepped out onto the battlefield.

"Nazar, I was thinking when you were going to show up," Tyson laughed as he walked forward.

"Haha, too bad," the commander laughed as he clapped his hand and the blonde general of the Ruby army walked out with a scepter in hand.

"I won't be the once fighting you," the commander spoke as he took the scepter from the general and raised it and ferociously stabbed it into the ground.

"Release!" he shouted as he made a few hand seals.

Rumble! Immediately, the skull on the scepter glowed into a blinding blue light as a large fog appeared around both armies.

"The Nightkiss!" Tyson exclaimed in shock as he realized that the rumors were true and that he had been played.

"Yes, the Nightkiss. You would've figured this out earlier if you yourself came to scout but too bad for your scouting team," Nazar mocked as the roars of beasts suddenly appeared from the thick fog that was surrounding them.

"Listen to your King's beckoning call!" Nazar shouted as he telepathically communicated with the beasts and they began appearing from the mist and attacking all the soldiers.

Huff... Huff

Leo panted loudly as he saw the Lapis frontlines in the far distance. He slowed down and made his way past the back lines which were filled with medical staff, trying to understand how the situation was going.

"Why are you here? Aren't you supposed to be at the front lines?" a doctor who was tending to an injured person suddenly asked as he saw Leo walking around the lines with a lost expression on his face.

"What's going on? Where is everyone?" Leo asked curiously as he walked to the doctor.

"Where are you from?" the doctor asked as he began to be suspicious of Leo possibly being a spy.

Realizing this, Leo could not bother to explain himself and so he immediately turned around and ran towards the Killing Cloud Mercenary's tree. Reaching the grand towering tree, he rapidly dashed up the tree and as he climbed up to the top, he saw Vanessa and Mars sitting there staring off into the Ruby frontlines.

Vanessa had a face of worry while Mars was sitting next to her, heavily wrapped up in bandages.

"Yo!" he greeted, startling the two of them.

"Leo?" Vanessa exclaimed as she could tell that it was Leo but there was a large change that had happened to him.

"Yep, hey Mars, Vanessa," Leo greeted as he smiled at then but suddenly gaze was fixed on Garrick's axe that was laying next to Vanessa.

Immediately, Leo walked over to the axe and picked it up slowly, "Where's Garrick?"

"He's missing. The Lapis army had a scouting mission where Garrick and Mars went but only Mars returned," Vanessa informed solemnly.

"Where's Wenella?" Leo asked with concern.

"She's attacking at the frontlines. The Lapis army is attacking," Mars answered as he felt extremely guilty.

"I see..." Leo nodded understandingly as he walked to Vanessa and handed her a paste that he pulled out from his bag.

"Take this and apply it to Mars. I'll see you all later," Leo instructed as he grabbed the axe and tried to connect his feelings with the axe.

'Show me where your master is,' Leo spoke to the axe mentally and the axe suddenly glowed as it pointed towards the battlefield.

Rumble!

Suddenly from the far distance, a large fog slowly appeared in the far horizon as loud roars of beasts sounded.

"Looks like this will be more serious than I thought," Leo spoke with a smile as he jumped off and dashed towards the Ruby frontlines.
