87 Chapter 87. Killing intent tribulation

After spending half a day reaching and preparing for his tribulation, Leo sat on the tallest point on Mt. Ketumati as he looked out on to the fluffy undisturbed cloud that were floating under him ever softly as he took a deep breath of resolution.

"Mom... dad... Look at after me," Leo spoke to the air in front of him as a soft breeze blew across the mount.

After waiting for a few seconds, Leo then began...

Boom!

Ahh!

A huge loud scream of pain thundered across the skies as pain and hardships filled all of Leo's body. It felt like each bone inside his body was being broken through small cracks and his brain felt as if it had just exploded into nothingness as his consciousness faded from his body and travelled into an unknown space inside his mind.

Killing intent exploded loudly as they began to explode and coat everything on the peak like a drop of water quickly diffusing around a tissue. The red dark unspeakable aura quickly grew to cover every part of the mountain that was above the clouds making it seemed like a thousand liters of blood had been poured around the mountain as even the small utopia with the tree and pond was swallowed, turned blackish red.

Suddenly all the pain disappeared, as Leo's consciousness cleared as his eyes slowly opened to see a blank grey painted ceiling.

"Huh?" he immediately got up as confusion appeared on his face. But as he got up his confusion immediately turned into shock.

In front of his was his desk. The desk that he had back on Earth. And on the table was his school bag and a large TV with his gaming console. He looked around curiously and saw that he was back in his room, his room on Earth.

Click!

Suddenly, the door to his room clicked open while he was lost in thought and a middle-aged woman in her forties walked in as she blankly looked into the room and her eyes slowly began to tear up as a face of regret and grief appeared on her face.

Seeing her, Leo's face immediately turned soft.

"Mom..." he whispered as he jumped out of his bed and ran to the woman as his eyes began to water.

He quickly managed to pull her into his embrace as he hugged her tightly as he spoke while tearing up, "Mom, I've missed you."

Leo's grieving was suddenly cut short when he felt something wet on his mom's body and as he looked to see shocked appeared on his face. Blood was flowing out like a river on the place where Leo's body had touched her.

"Wh... Wh-What is going on?" Leo suddenly asked as he lost all comprehension of what was happening.

His mom's body fell to her knees before falling down flat on the floor, revealing a sharp long wooden arrow that was deeply lodged onto her back.

"Mom!" Leo shouted loudly as he immediately pulled out the arrow and tried to heal her. But to no avail did it work. His energy was empty, he could not sense any trail of energy inside his body.

"Brother..." a faint weak voice sounded from past the door. Leo instantly recognized the voice, it was Milo's voice.

"Milo!" screamed Leo as he ran out the room but as he ran out, the scene in front of him had completely changed.

He had been teleported to a long wide street. And in the direction that he was facing was the crystal lake, the crystal lake where he died. The skies had been turned blood red as it reflected off the waters.

"Hahahaha!" loud laughter of mocking and ridicule sounded from the shore. He could immediately tell it was the bullies. But as Leo ran to the shore, he was that they were no longer the bullies and instead they were some demonic figures who had an abnormally large open mouths.

As if they had magically realized Leo was here, they suddenly turned towards him slowly and began loudly laughing as their eyes contained a look of mockery.

Crack!

A large cracking sounded like the cracking of glass, alarmed, Leo looked over to the lake and saw that Milo had dropped in. Immediately Leo rushed into the lake and dove in.

"Hahaha!" a loud mocking demonic laughter sounded as the water suddenly disappeared and Leo was shrouded in complete darkness.

"Who are you?" Leo asked coldly as he stared at him with devilish eyes.

"Do you feel how weak you are? Do you yearn for power?" the voice suddenly asked as its laughter came to a stop and Leo was suddenly brought to another scene.

This time, he was taken onto a plain next a battlefield. He saw two large armies with troop amassing to almost million appearing on both sides.

But then Leo's attention was forcefully directed onto a silhouette on middle of the battlefield.

It was a female who was in an incredibly terrible state, blood was pouring out of he mouth, nose and ears. There were fifteen arrows firmly attached onto her back and there was a large long spear that had stabbed her tight on the abdomen.

"AURORA!" Leo loudly shouted as he ran towards her.

The beautiful female fell on her knees and turned her head to see Leo and on her face was a look of disappointment as she fell into Leo's arms.

"Why did you come so late?" she weakly asked as her body slowly weakened and her eyes closed as she died.

Toot!

Immediately, both armies charged forward towards Aurora's body with their shields and battle weapons raised.

Anger flooded Leo's body as he lost control of his thoughts as he grasped the sword that Aurora was holding and charged forward not caring for whoever he would be killing.

But just as he was about to, Aurora's hand suddenly grasped his leg. She then weakly spoke, "Run... You are not strong enough."

Leo was suddenly so lost in all his anger that he did not listen to her and he swung his sword horizontally but nothing happened as a barrage of arrow came flying at him.

Immediately, thousands of arrow struck Leo as unbearable pain shot all across his body.

"Ack!" Leo spurted out blood as he fell to his knees. He looked up again, and saw that another rain of arrows had been shot. Frustration built up inside Leo as he realized how weak he was and that he was not able to defend the arrow.

Before his frustration could build up any further, fear struck into his body as he suddenly realized Aurora was still next to him. Immediately, Leo ran to her and tried to lift her but her body would not budge as if she had been stuck to the cold brown ground.

"Aurora! We need to run!" Leo shouted in panic.

But Aurora was unresponsive and the arrows landed on them.

Leo's world had turned into darkness again.

"Hmph! Pitiful. You are not worthy to be the successor," a voice suddenly rang out in Leo's head as the darkness faded and Leo arrived upon a large graveyard.

The sight confused Leo as the graveyard was incredibly big and you would expect thousands, even hundreds of thousands of gravestones to be erected here but there was only one. A single black-stoned gravestone was standing in the middle of the graveyard.

Leo walked up to it and as he did so, he saw that there was nothing written on it.

Heh?

Confused, Leo walked to touch the gravestone but just as he was about to do so...

Boom!

An explosive amount of killing intent shot out of the gravestone, entering Leo's body as anger and rage swelled up inside him.

Suddenly, Leo's body was taken to a new scene. It was the same battlefield that he was in a few minutes ago but this time, Aurora was alive and doing well in the fight.

"You known what happens next," the voice coldly spoke.

Immediately, realization struck Leo as he ran to Aurora.

Rattle!

Suddenly, Leo could not move any further as chains suddenly appeared on his ankles and wrists.

"No!" Leo shouted as he realized what was happening.

"Power... Killing intent... Unrestrained..." the voice sounded.

"Shut up," Leo's voice coldly shut the voice up as he looked at the battlefield with killing intent slowly building up as he stared at everyone on the battlefield maniacally.

"Impudent..." the voice angrily commented in it's cold voice as swords suddenly flew out of the darkness behind Leo, stabbing him right in the calves.

"Argh!" Leo screamed out in pain as he was forced to fall on his knees.

"Hahaha!" the voice laughed as it seemed to take pleasure in torturing Leo.

Suddenly, another long chain of cries sounded as countless swords and spears flew out and stabbed into Leo's body.

"Stared at her and watch her die," the voice instructed Leo, immediately turning Leo's expression in frustration and desperation as he futilely struggled against the chains.

"Do you wish for power?" the voice asked Leo.

Immediately, Leo nodded as he desperately agreed, "Yes! Just please save her!"

"Give up your body. Let me take control," the voice spoke as a black shadow emerged from the darkness and began slowly coating Leo's ankles.

Back in reality, in the Southern mountain ranges, a sudden natural disaster had happened, the skies were shaded red and sudden streaks of black and red plasma fell on the mountains and the forest. The scene above the clouds was even more disastrous as Mt. Ketumati was a mess. A lean tall silhouette covered in a dark red energy was sat on the tallest point of the mountain as dangerous streaks of lightning escaped from him, striking the clouds and the air around him like a whip as he laid there eyes closed as if he was in a trance.

At the Lapis frontlines, Garrick and his team were suiting up as they went over the plan again, "Cloud team will take the left side of the camp, Wind team will take the middle, and Water team will take the right."

"Yes!" the mercenaries all agreed as they prepared to set off.

"Garrick!" Wenella called out as she stood up and walked over to Garrick with a look of worry.

"Yo!" Garrick coolly answered as he turned to her.

"Can you please not go?" Wenella pleaded as Vanessa also joined in and pleaded to Mars as well.

"I want to do this Wenella. You can't stop me," Garrick replied as he rejected her, "You don't have to worry I will return for sure!"

"Be careful," Wenella replied dejectedly as her emotions peaked with worry and fear.

'If only Leo was here.'

"Gods if you exist, please watch over him," Wenella prayed as she said goodbye to Mars and Garrick as they left.
