84 Chapter 84. Healing the group

"Ugh..." extreme pain coming from the back of his head woke up Leo. His eyes slowly opened as he saw night had arrived and as he turned to his side, he saw Wenella sitting next to him, gazing off at the stars.

Hearing, Leo move and show signs of consciousness, her face immediately turned and after seeing that he was awake she gave a long sigh of relief as her shoulders relaxed.

"How long was I out?" he asked as he sat up holding the back of his head.

"Not long, about six hours," she replied with a concerned look

"Thanks for saving me... Sorry about before..." Leo spoke seriously as he was completely embarrassed.

"Don't ever do that again," Wenella spoke in an extremely angry tone as she look at Leo with an extremely cold glare.

"I'm sorry..." Leo apologized but Wenella was having none of it. She simply turned away and spoke, "You should go and heal the others."

Seeing that Wenella was not in the mood to talk, Leo gave up and walked over to the others to check on them before he checked up on himself.

Garrick was in terrible shape as his face was completely swollen along with countless cuts on his arm and Vanessa had her left leg's tendon torn and her arm fractured. The only person who was doing the best was Mars who had a few scratches and what looked like a deep wound on his thigh.

Leo immediately went over to Vanessa first.

"How are you holding up?" he asked.

"It hurts like hell when I try to move it and I can't stand at all," Vanessa replied after Leo touched it.

Immediately, Leo made a few hand seals as he immediately circulated his energy and a green glowing vines began emerging from the tree branch as it covered Vanessa's leg.

Shock appeared on her face as she immediately saw that leg did not hurt as the vines touched it.

"How are you doing this?" she asked in amazement.

"A white ranked healing art," Leo replied, "It's called Life pull but I like to just call it rejuvenation."

"What kind of white ranked art is this?" Vanessa asked curiously as she could not believe a white rank art being able to do such extraordinary healing.

"This art drains the life energy out of all plants and life nearby. I have master this art already to a high extent, that's why I am able to heal you," Leo answered, "place your hand here."

Vanessa healing took about ten minutes as Leo spend seven minutes healing her leg then her hand.

"Ok, that should be fine for now. You shouldn't fight for a while but you should be fine with walking. Try and have a walk along the tree," Leo instructed as he lifted Vanessa up to her feet.

Amazement appeared on her head as she walked a few steps forwards and found that her legs did not hurt and there was a weird numbness. She looked at Leo in confusion but he quickly reassured her, "That's normal. I had to numb your nerves in your leg to heal it. It will come back in a few minutes."

Seeing that Vanessa was now healed, Leo walked over to Garrick.

"Hey brother!" Garrick greeted as he looked at Leo with his already swollen eyes. They were so swollen that Leo could almost not even see Garrick's eyes.

"You sure took a beating," Leo spoke as he got down and examined Garrick's body.

"Haha. Well, I kind of asked for it," Garrick spoke as he laughed at his own stupidity.

"Don't say that. You did what you should've," Leo smiled back as he immediately brought out a bucket and filled it with water before adding various powders and herbal leaves.

He then brought out a long roll of bandages and dipped them inside the bucket and began to mix the whole thing around with his hands.

"Brother, I want to ask you something," Garrick suddenly spoke out as he looked at Leo with a serious look.

"Sure, what is it?" Leo asked nonchalantly.

"Wenella told me that you read lot of books and languages,"

"Haha. Yes, reading is a hobby of mine," Leo answered as his mind quickly grew curious.

"I been practicing with my axe a lot these days and every time I try to interact with the energy, a series of marks appear on the axe and they seem like a certain language so I wanted to ask you about it," Garrick informed Leo.

"Oh," this news surprised Leo as he knew something was special about the axe but he did not expect a series of marks to appear, "I'll have a look at it later. Let me finish up with you and Mars."

"You know my name?" Mars asked curiously as he was suddenly surprised by the mention of his name.

"Yep," Leo replied as he brought out the bandage which had become a light green color and he began wrapping all of Garrick's wounds with it, "I was there when you introduced yourself to Wenella."

"Garrick, close your eyes and dip your face in this water for at least a times, thirty seconds each turn and your face should be fine after that," Leo spoke as he stood up and then walked to Mars.

"Now, let's heal you."

"I'm fine, I don't really need much help," Mars commented but Leo would not let him off.

"This is me thanking you for standing up with us. Take your shirt off," Leo spoke relentlessly.

Realizing that he had no choice, Mars reluctantly took off his shirt, revealing his well built body that was slender yet firm, emanating a unusual but charming handsomeness.

Leo then saw that Mars' body was quite sturdy. He could tell that he had been punched countless times but somehow managed to not take much damage.

"Interesting. Do you practice in any body strengthening techniques?" Leo asked curiously as he examined all the purple marks and took out a paste from his bag.

"Yes. It's required for all disciples of the Raijin sect. We need to harden our bodies so that we can take thunder strikes," Mars replied.

"I see," commented Leo as he began applying the medical paste all over Mars back.

A few minutes later...

"Okay! You are all done," Leo smiled as he stood up.

"Thanks," Mars smiled back.

Now that he was done with healing all of them, Leo subconsciously looked over to Wenella and saw that she was conversing to Vanessa. Not wanting to disturb them, Leo excused himself from everyone else, "I'll go up for a bit. I need to be alone."

Leo made sure to take Garrick's axe and quickly made his way all the way to the top of the tree and sat down on one of the many branches and began to check on his current situation.

Rumble!

Shock appeared on his face as he found that he was not able to access his nether mansion at all.

Rumble! Boom!

Even more shock appeared after he found that he was not able to control his killing intent at all. He accidentally released some energy on his fingers and it suddenly exploded out and crashed straight onto a branch which crashed downwards.

'Uh oh! That isn't good,' Leo thought as he hoped that no one would get knocked or get hit by the falling branch.

After thirty minutes of accessing his current situation, Leo found that all his initially injuries and the wounds from the cleansing balls that George had struck him were all healed now and he was doing well. However, unexpected bad news came, he was not able to use his whole cultivation and was only able to access up to peak emission realm.

'Tch! This is really not good,' Leo thought as he grew frustrated. How was he going to do this? At his current state, he could only fight refinement stage one realms and below.

'How am I going to this?' Leo thought profusely as he could not figure out how he would do this.

Crash!

"Bloody hell! Leo what are you doing up there?! You can't just throw down a tree! You can't just do anything you want you know!" Garrick's panicky voice shouted from underneath as the branch landed a meter away from him and he did not even see it coming, scaring the life out of him.

'That's it!' Leo thought as he realized something. If how was the tribulation going to happen? Would he not be able to make it happen if he use he released all his killing intent which was currently berserk. He could release all his killing intent and take it back into his body and control it.

'How stupid I am,' Leo smacked himself in the head as he could not believe his stupidity.

Suddenly his face turned sour as he realized that this killing intent tribulation would cause a lot of problems.

Sigh... She's going to be angry with me again...

'Should I tell them or should I just run and go now. Maybe I can finish it in time and make it back,' Leo spoke as he had no idea how bad this tribulation would be or how long it would take.

Eventually he gave up and moved to the axe. There was indeed a weird aura about the axe that made it seem like it was alive and thriving. And Leo grasped the axe and began to try to feel the aura inside it. As he felt what was inside, he found that a series of weird rune-like marks appeared on the axe's blade.

"Interesting..." Leo commented with a smile, "Now with this, Garrick can take on Wenella in battle." Done with all the things he had to do, he made his way back down the tree where he was met by a vengeful Garrick who looked at him coldly.

"Guys I need to inform you all on something," Leo spoke with a serious expression.

"Is it your tribulation?" Wenella's voice suddenly sounded as she appeared from the distance with Vanessa.

"Yes. I am planning to go away from the battlefield for a few days. I am not able to fight if I don't do this," Leo explained.

Confusion and disruption filled the group as they argued over this topic for a whole hour.
