82 Chapter 82. Leo vs George

Immediately, all the cultivators who had just surrounded them immediately fell to the ground lifelessly.

"Huh?" a confused expression appeared on all the spectators' faces.

"What happened?"

Leo then appeared again next to Wenella. His face suddenly turned serious as he looked at her with solemn eyes, "You guys must get home now. I can't protect you guys while fighting him."

"Okay," Wenella and Garrick immediately nodded and they began retreating back to the grand tree.

Wenella then turned to Mars, "Come follow us for now, that man will probably not leave you alone now."

"But-" Mars looked back at Leo and saw that he was massively outnumbered and placed at a terrible disadvantage. But then Leo turned to him and gave him a confident calm smile, ultimately realizing that he would be of no help, Mars decided to follow her as they carried Vanessa and quickly disappeared from the crowd's line of sight.

"Running away?" George coldly spoke after he observed his men and found that they were all just knocked unconscious. Anger filled him as he rushed forward and punched outwards.

"Hehe!" Leo gave a quiet laugh as he stomped on the floor and punched out with his whole strength.

Boom!

A loud cracking explosion sounded as the two punches met. But just as the crowd thought Leo stood a chance, George's punch passed through and struck Leo straight in the face, sending him flying backwards through a dozen trees.

"Useless. You are all talk but no substance," George commented coldly as a satisfied expression appeared on his face.

Cough! Cough!

"My goodness, you are indeed a strong cultivator. That almost made me spit out mouthful of blood," Leo's voice rang out as he appeared again on the horizon and walked back to the field.

George's mind was extremely surprised by how Leo walked out of that unscathed. He had clearly felt his fist initiate contact with Leo's face, so how was it possible that he did not take any damage at all?

"Hehe... Your going to have to try harder to knock me down, blobby," Leo mocked as he stood up and taunted at George as he walked to his sword that Wenella had dropped.

But deep inside, his brain was in deep tension as he panicked in his mind.

What the hell am I doing?! I can't use my killing intent here. If he attacks at full strength then I won't stand much of a chance. My only hope is delaying them long enough so that they get home first. I need to delay until the Lapis generals make it here.

"Hahaha! You really have guts. But you don't want to anger me. Get ready to take my purple art!" George laughed in reply as he made a hand sign and immediately began rotating his hand to make a circle and immediately wisps of white began appearing from thin air and began forming into a bright holy white golden ball.

"The longer I condense this energy, the more stronger it will be," George smiled as he suddenly increased the energy that he had injected into the ball. Suddenly the ball grew brighter as the energies in it grew more and more concentrated. Eventually some of the energy formed into a liquid like state and fell on the grass causing a crackling sizzle sound as it immediately burned... no, corroded through the grass.

"Glory Cleansing Ball!" George shouted as he threw the ball of light towards Leo.

Bzzzz!

The ball left a blazing trail of smelly smoke as it burned the green grassy ground, turning it charcoal black as it flew speedily towards Leo. It radiated a calm yet overpowering energy as it did was not stopped by anything in it's path and just burned through everything.

'Damn it! This is not going well! Without using my killing intent, I can't stop this ball of light that easily,' Leo began panicking but just as he was about to the Nether God's Nihility fist, he smacked his head in stupidity, 'You idiot! How did you not realize that! Ok, let's do this!'

As the bright ball quickly approached him, Leo made a hand sign as he lifted and chopped his hand straight down at the ground and the energy in the ground immediately began swelling as a long crevice appeared on the ground in front of Leo.

Rumble...

Dirt seemed to grow from the ground as forty thick pillar-like walls that were stacked like dominoes erupted from the ground and it quickly hardened to an incredibly hard as it stood to block the path of the Cleansing Ball.

Boom!

A large bright explosion stuck as the bright ball struck the first wall and the first wall did not even stand a chance as it immediately exploded into countless fragments of rock. The ball then flew through the second, fifth, eleventh wall and only as it got to the last five did it show signs of slowing down.

"No good. It's still going to break the last wall!"

"He's a goner this time!"

Boom!

The last wall exploded into pieces as the attack reached Leo.

But Leo did not do anything and instead simply, curled up his hands into a fist as he punched out, colliding with the ball.

Kaboom!

Immediately, ball exploded as it's burning blinding light engulfed Leo. It took about ten seconds for the light ball to disappear into the air as the audience's anxiety only grew and grew. Everything in a twenty meter radius was completely devoid of life as all the grass disappeared and was replaced by black smoking dirt that made it hard to see Leo's body.

"Hahahaha! Stupid weakling! You actually tried to take that attack head on without attacking back. How meaningless! Hahahaha!" George spoke out as he slowly made his way to the crater.

"That hurt a lot more than I thought! Wow! This is getting hard," an excited voice sounded out, Leo had checked out his mind space as quickly as he could to check on the Demonic Nether God physique. It now showed a bit of progress as a +100 appeared and thus he was ecstatic by this, just fifty more attacks and he would have levelled up his physique...

"What!?" George shouted in shock as he could not believe that Leo was still alive after that. He then raised his hand and swept the air in front of him, creating a gust of wind that cleared up the binding smoke and Leo was seen by the whole crowd and him. He was standing on his feet with a few deep cuts on his left hand, the rest of his body was unharmed with his clothes ripped in some areas as he jumped out of the dead zone.

"You didn't think that I would survive that did you?" Leo smiled and asked.

"My God! He really survived that! How is this possible?"

"Is his body made of gold or something?"

The crowd was in disbelief as they could not believe what they had witnessed, a purple art was an art that was capable of destroying anything in its path when thrown by an origin realm expert. Even a cultivator at origin stage four wouldn't dare to stand in it's way without attacking.

"Haha! You may have survived but your hand seems to be injured! I don't believe that you can block another Glory Cleansing Ball!" George shouted, giving Leo no further time to recover as he began forming another ball and throwing it at Leo.

Boom!

Another large blinding explosion occurred as once again filled the air with the scent of smelly burnt grass and thick dense smoke and as the blinding stopped, this time, it had created a flat one meter deep hole in the ground that was twenty meters wide.

"Did you survive this one?" George's mocking voice sounded as he approached the crater again and looked down as he once again swept the smoke away.

"Not yet, give me your strongest attack," Leo answered in a simple plain voice as he was soon visible as the smoke cleared. He was now in rags and he was tightly gripping his left hand as his hand was charred dark red as harsh burns appeared on his arm.

The generals need to arrive now! Leo's mind rushed as he began accessing his best choices of approaching this situation now. There seemed to be a mysterious element in these attacks that seemed to do increased damage to his arm.

"You can still talk but can your body continue?" George evilly spoke as he now shouted, "Get ready, I'm going to use my strongest attack now, Purification Barrage Blitz!"

Fifty blinding light balls appeared this time as each glowed emitting a glorious and mighty aura lighting up the night sky as everything lit up from the shine of the balls. And as soon as they reached a peak in brightness, the balls began charging straight at Leo as they left a trail of smoke and foul stench.

'I have to cancel them out,' Leo thought as he brought out his sword and immediately a black energy pulsed through his sword, coating it black.

Silent Slash!

Immediately, Leo slashed about a dozen times as he forced his energy to it's limits as he planned to use quantity to cancel out the energy balls.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

A series of explosions occurred as the balls met the silent slashed, creating large occurrences in the area making it look like fireworks were being set off.

The power of the cleansing ball were a lot stronger than Leo had expected and each slash was only able to cancel about three balls. This left about twenty four glowing orbs to pass through and they all struck on Leo, creating a grand finale firework that was visible even from the Lapis frontlines.

"Argh!" Leo loudly screamed in pain as multiple explosions happened on his body. And as they all finished exploding a small crater of around ten meters wide and thirty meters deep appeared where he was standing.

Akh!

Leo coughed out a mouthful of blood as he fell to the bottom. He felt pain everywhere and could not move his body due to the pain.

"Damn it! I can't move," Leo quietly cursed as he felt all movement in his body stop. That attack in his body seemed to force his body to shut down, causing him to be unable to move.

'Guys, I hope you guys made it. I'll be there soon,' Leo motivated himself as he began analyzing what was happening inside his body.

"Hahahaha! You seem to have taken a lot of damage then," George mocked as he heard Leo's scream of pain. He then slowly bent down and loudly shouted downwards as he did not bother to sweep away the smoke that was currently belting out of the newly formed fresh crater, "You are probably dead now but let me tell you this. Your girlfriend, the witch, will never arrive back at the tree, did you possibly think that those were all my subordinates? She's probably already been captured and being taken here with your three friends! Haha! I will make sure to kill you here and make her my bride! She shall be mine from now! Hahaha!"
